    “We stayed over Christmas at Adderstone Cottage - what an incredible stay we had.”

    The pictures don’t do the cottage justice, it was incredibly well equipped and comfortable. It was quiet and peaceful without being too far from local amenities, we visited Bamburgh, Alnwick, Cragside and Holy Island easily during our stay. The beds were all very comfy, the tv in the lounge and field view bedroom had the full sky tv package and the WiFi worked well. We can’t recommend this cottage enough. Hopefully we will return in 2026. Thank you for your hospitality Judith and Colin.

Adderstone Cottage is a wonderful country cottage located within 5 miles of Bamburgh.

Adderstone Cottage has been finished to a high standard but retains a lot of its original features.

The property has fantastic views over open countryside and is within a short distance of the main transport links.

There is an abundance of things to do in the local area and Adderstone Cottage is in a prime location to enable you to enjoy them. ACCOMMODATION OVER ONE LEVEL (Ground) Living room with multi fuel stove, TV/DVD/Sky Q and Netflix and iPod docking station. Conservatory/Dining room with stunning views of open countryside. Kitchen/breakfast room with electric oven, gas hob, fridge, freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Bedroom 1 with super king zip-link bed (can be set up as a twin on request), and TV/Sky Q and Netflix. Bedroom 2 with twin beds and TV. Bedroom 3 with king bed, TV and en suite shower, WC and basin. Bathroom with bath, walk-in shower, WC, basin. Shower room with shower, WC and basin. Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. OTHER FACILITIES Garden area to the rear with patio.

About the location

BAMBURGH

Seahouses 3.5 miles; Beadnell 5.1 miles; Alnwick 16.9 miles.

The village’s sweeping sandy beaches and dramatic fortress - Bamburgh Castle - make Bamburgh one of Northumberland’s major visitor attractions. The castle can be seen for miles and dominates this part of the county’s coastline. Today it remains home to the family of the great Victorian industrialist Lord Armstrong, and is open to the public on a daily basis. Although overshadowed by the great castle, Bamburgh village is picturesque with neat grey stone cottages facing a manicured village green. There are excellent pubs, hotels with restaurants and a small selection of village shops. There are golf courses in Bamburgh and nearby Seahouses, and within easy reach are more wide sandy beaches, lovely fishing villages, stunning castles and coastal islands to explore along the dramatic Heritage Coast. There are numerous other attractions also a short drive away, including the famous Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the historic walled border town, Berwick-upon-Tweed. A superb base for exploring Northumberland.
