Alnside Cottage

We did have a few issues with the cottage, namely the utility room was full of spiders, we cleared them but took a while.

We realise it's a cottage but a wipe down on cleaning day would solve the problem. We washed our clothes but couldn't get the clothesline to stay up. Northumbrian cottages fitted another within hours. The front garden could do with a clear up, particularly the path.

Very well equiped and all you need for a stay. Great location for visiting the various castles and sites on the coast and beach walks. Plenty of good restaurants and pubs in easy reach, even a pub up the road.

Alnside Cottage was a wonderful place to stay.

Comfortable and homely. It is in the perfect position to visit anywhere in Northumberland.

The cottage was extremely clean, tastefully decorated and very well equipped and we had a really good time exploring the grand houses, castles and coastal villages.

However it was not on the coast itself as we had presumed from the address.

Could do with darker blinds and curtains in bedrooms letting in to much light.

. Also the floor as you go in to the room from the kitchen is very bouncy loose. Otherwise an excellent cottage and a great stay

We’ve stayed a few times before and find the cottage a good base to stay to explore all our favourite areas of Northumberland.

Beautiful cottage.. Really clean and well equipped. Great location for visiting the best spots along the coast. Thanks for another great stay and we hope to be back again soon.

The cottage was lovely in a nice setting, and would probably have been a great place t stay in summer.

Sadly after a couple of days with the heating being on there was a significant damp and musty smell at the bottom of the staircase, with wet running down the lower half of the walls, and white residue near the floorboards. I believe this to have ben caused by untreated damp, and the smell affected my chest and regrettably I left this cottage early as I was concerned about my health. The service I received about the experience was very poor, I didn't feel listened to and no one called me back to discuss further, I had to call them. I am so disappointed in both the property and customer service.

Beautiful cottage in a great location for exploring local area.

Would definitely recommend it to anyone considering visiting the area. Only a short drive to Alnmouth where there are local shops, restaurants & pubs and Alnwick is less than 10 minutes drive away where there is a good selection of supermarkets, independent shops, tea rooms, pubs and for the Harry Potter fans there is Alnwick castle & gardens (well worth a visit).

The cottage exceeded our expectations.

We arrived to a warm , welcoming cosy cottage; just want you need after a long journey. The cottage is ideally positioned you can walk to the beach in alnmouth (a good walk) and you are 10 minutes in the car to a great selection of food shops .You also have easy access to the coastal route. The kitchen is well equipped and the lounge comfortable. A great find !!

Property was excellent ideal for visiting local attractions Alnwick Castle and trips to the coast.

Plenty of walks nearby and handy local shop/Post office.
