    “A little gem in the heart of Alnmouth.”

    Very comfortable and well equipped, an Ideal retreat for 2 people to explore the local walks, both countryside and coastal. An excellent village store next door provides all provisions for your stay. The Hope and Anchor run by Tracy gives a warm welcome and hearty food. The deli across the main street provides fresh coffee, cakes, bread and interesting tasty ready meals to reheat and a good range of beer & wines to complement a cosy evening in at 5 Bells. We travel by train, an easy 1 mile walk ...

    Very comfortable and well equipped, an Ideal retreat for 2 people to explore the local walks, both countryside and coastal. An excellent village store next door provides all provisions for your stay. The Hope and Anchor run by Tracy gives a warm welcome and hearty food. The deli across the main street provides fresh coffee, cakes, bread and interesting tasty ready meals to reheat and a good range of beer & wines to complement a cosy evening in at 5 Bells. We travel by train, an easy 1 mile walk down from the station to 5 Bells. We will be booking our 3rd stay for 2027!

New Addition February 2022 – Five Bells Cottage is a beautifully charming, spacious stone-built cottage situated in the centre of the village of Alnmouth, close to all the amenities.

This property has undergone a complete refurbishment throughout and offers guests excellent accommodation with stylish and characterful fixtures and furnishings.

The estuary and sandy beach are a short walk away and the property makes a wonderful and comfortable base from which to explore the beautiful Heritage Coastline and beautiful National Park and Cheviot Hills inland. GROUND FLOOR Living room with comfy seating, electric fire, Smart TV with access to Netflix/iPlayer/Chromecast, DVD player and a large coffee table which extends to a dining table.

Steps up to: Kitchen with double electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with small freezer compartment, washing machine and dishwasher. FIRST FLOOR Bedroom with King size bed, wardrobe with hanging space, dressing table. Bathroom with large walk-in shower cubicle with dual-power shower, separate bath tub, WC, basin and heated towel rail. OTHER FACILITIES Parking nearby.

ALNMOUTH

Alnwick 4 miles.

Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday. The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore which afford stunning views of the North Sea. A short drive will bring you to Alnwick with its famous historic castle, The Alnwick Garden housing the Poison Garden which runs guided tours through dangerous botanicals and a variety of pubs and restaurants. Alnmouth is well situated for exploring Northumberland.
