What an amazing cottage !

Fantastic location to Alnwick centre with varied facilities on your doorstep. Parking permit an asset whilst there and always got a space. Cottage was everything and more , a secret haven of lushness , with everything you’d think of that you need on holiday. Definitely recommended find .

Good position and well presented.

On street parking was not a problem. Easy walking distance to pubs and restaurants

What a lovely cottage very well equipped despite the compact nature of the property.

Everything worked fine, exceptionally presented and clean. If I had two considerations they would be the parking situation isn't always ideal we sometimes had to park down the road, but that is clearly explained in the property details to be fair, and I might recommend updating the single mattresses. But very much enjoyed the stay, lovely location to explore Alnwick and a nice touch was the Sykes colleague checking the properly before we arrived which was appreciated. Highly recommended.

A really stunning cottage as we’re all the facilities.

The Wi-Fi and tv apps were a good plus. We had no problem parking just outside, so the parking permit was a bonus. A very short walk into town. No hesitation in recommending it.

The bathroom was called a bathroom.

Not enough pictures of it but it was a bathroom. It had no bath. Which I thought it did for my wife. Shower was fastened to wall so she could not use it. Rename to shower room. With toilet. And shoe whole room not just shower. That’s my only gripe.

Such a delightful cottage.

A great find nestled in a quiet corner of Alnwick yet really close to all amenities of the town. From the quality bedding and large bath sheets, to the surround sound system and satellite TV, Nurses Cottage has everything you could possibly need for as holiday let. Attention to detail was first class. Owners were extremely helpful before and during our stay and fixed a small plumbing issue within an hour. I would thoroughly recommend this property.

Brilliant stay at this little gem of a cottage.

Walking distance to the town centre, the castle and all the eateries and pubs but a little oasis of calm once you step into Nurses Yard. There’s everything you need in the cottage and it’s so comfortable and well maintained that we will definitely be revisiting soon.

Property was exceptionally clean and well stocked.

Towels and bed linen high quality. Lovely internal and external spaces and brilliant location for exploring Alnwick and the wider coast and countryside.

An outstanding cottage - very cosy, extremely clean and well equipped.

The location is brilliant- just a couple of minutes from the centre of Alnwick but the cottage is perfectly quiet being set back from the road. The owners really went the extra mile, leaving presents for our two sons (we were staying over Christmas) and responding rapidly to any queries that we had. We will be back and recommend it to any couple or family with 1-2 children. Joe and family

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Nurses Cottage.

We stayed there with my 89 yr old mother-in-law so the fact that it was all on one level and that we could park the car directly outside on the road was perfect. The living areas, bedrooms and bathroom were all very comfortable and the kitchen was perfectly equipped with everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again when returning to Northumberland.

The cottage was very clean, modern and peaceful, but really close to the town centre and castle. There was a beautiful little garden to sit in, which was well maintained. We wish to visit Northumberland again as it so beautiful and will definitely book Nurses Cottage again as we really enjoyed our stay there.

Perfect setting for our holiday with everything we needed.

I particularly loved sitting and reading in the pretty courtyard garden. Helpful owners. If we return to the area we may well try and book this cottage again.

This was our second stay at Nurse’s Cottage and it was as good as ever.

Glen was very helpful and a small hutch was dealt with rapidly.The proximity to the town is a bonus but the tranquility of the cottage is hard to beat. We hope to return before too long!

Beautiful property in the perfect location.

Hosts were really helpful and friendly and everything about arrival etc was super easy too. The cottage was really clean and modern and had all the amenities we could possibly need. We were very thankful for all the wood for the fire as we stayed in most of the time due to the storm. Would definitely recommend.

It was a lovely quiet location but close to the town centre.

Perfect in all respects. My one very very slight gripe relates to the arrival and departure times. Arrival after 4.00 seems rather late and departure by 10.00 seems slightly early. For example , we are away next week in another cottage and the arrival time is 2.00 and we do not have to leave until 11.00 which seems more reasonable.

This beautiful little cottage is tucked away in a peaceful corner of Alnwick.

All the delights Alnwick has to offer are within walking distance. The interior of the cottage is of a high standard, the log burner a great addition and the underfloor heating in the bathroom is wonderful on a cold morning. Cosy bedrooms, a kitchen that has everything you need, including lovely little treats to.enjoy, all made our stay in this cottage one of the best we've had!

This is a lovely cottage,perfect for four people.

The standard of comfort is really high and it is quiet and peaceful.Parking is on the street with a permit and we had no problems. The location is very central and Alnwick is a fascinating and variable place,including the castle and the beautiful gardens.

Very well appointed and good use of space in this cosy cottage. Minor problem quickly sorted. Good centre for access to stunning castles and good eating places.

There was very little we needed to supply ourselves, which made for a relaxing break. The hosts were very responsive, gracious, and helpful. We would definitely stay in this cottage again.

Nurses's Cottage is a lovely cozy Cottage, with so many Places to visit from the doorstep, a permit for parking included never had a problem with finding somewhere to park.

My wife and I absolutely loved our stay at the Nurses Cottage.

It had everything we needed and was comfortable and cosy. It is tucked away in a small courtyard but very close to the castle and the town centre, but at the same time was very quiet. Next time we visit Alnwick we will be booking the cottage again. Thanks Glen and Corrine.

Nurse's Cottage is a hidden gem!

It was the perfect place for us. The cottage garden is an oasis of calm on a sunny evening after a long day as a tourist. The cottage provided everything we needed and the hosts ensure you feel welcome.

Situated in a little courtyard with a pretty little garden. Close to Alnwick town centre and the castle. Good pubs nearby and restaurants.

Fantastic property for 2 people or family with small kids (little tight for 4adults) Amazing location, 1 minute walk to the castle, 3 minute walk to the lovely little town.

It lacked nothing in equipment. Beds very comfortable. Access exactly as described. The weather was very mixed, but it was a pleasure to stay in sometimes. A credit to the owners!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Nurses Cottage.

It is a lovely place in itself and it is nicely situated in relation to all that Alnwick has to offer. We are extremely happy with our choice and would not hesitate to choose to return to Nurses Cottage. One minor point which the owners might be interested in hearing is that we had to fashion a Heath Robinson style screen out of brown parcel paper ( bought at Wilkos) to manoeuvre into the main bedroom roof light in order to save us from being woken at the crack of dawn by the otherwise unimpeded bright daylight, which we did experience on the first morning. Some sort of blind would be good I reckon.

My friend and I loved the cottage, and the beautiful courtyard garden.

It was ideal for us. I found the mattress on the single bed I used slightly uncomfortable. My friend found she slipped down the settee when she sat there reading or watching TV. These are minor compared with the joys of staying in Nurses Cottage.

This was one of the lovliest comfy and peaceful cottages we have hired its in a beautuful setting and was a perfect way to celebrate my big birthday absoloutly loved it Thanks

Fab stay in this fantastic little cottage.

The comfort, cleanliness and facilities were amazing and it made our stay in Alnwick much more enjoyable to have such a lovely place to return after days out. We especially enjoyed the wood burner as some cool nights and was lovely to return and watch TV. The location of the cottage is perfect for all local amenities but also offers peace and quiet. Would love to return.

Beautiful cottage for our week stay as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children aged 10 and 13).

Perfect location to access so many beautiful places within short driving distance. Alnwick castle and Alnwick gardens on the doorstep, then only minutes away from beautiful coast line, including beach near Warkworth Castle, Embleton Bay near to Dunstan burgh Castle, Bamburgh Castle. We got a train to Edinburgh for the day from Alnmouth train station where parking was free. So many things to see and do on the doorstep. Just needed more than a week to fit everything in. An ideal excuse though for a return visit! Thankyou for the memorable stay.

The cottage was very comfortable, clean and quiet.

It had everything we needed for our stay and was an excellent base to visit lot's of beautiful surrounding tourist sights. Numerous great restaurants within walking distance. The owner was very considerate, contacting us on the first night to ensure we had arrived safely due to inclement weather.

A beautiful cottage in a peaceful setting which is ideally situated just off of Bailiffgate.

The cottage is close to shops, pubs, restaurants and across the road from the entrance to the castle and museum. Also, there is a supermarket a short walk away. We would definitely return as the location is convenient for visiting the area, and parking was never an issue. We had to contact the owner with a query and he was very helpful and easy to contact.

The cottage has recently been refurbished to a high standard.

Although it is right in the centre of Alnwick it is very quiet. The courtyard garden was much appreciated.

The Nurses Cottage was ideal accommodation for the three of us.

The facilities, decor and rooms were excellent and made for a very comfortable stay. Tucked away behind one of the main streets, the cottage and garden was delightful and the area extremely quiet. We would happily return.

Had a lovely stay in Nurse's Cottage - everything provided for, it was warm and cosy on our wet chilly nights and we made use of your games cupboard!

Perfect location for Seahouses, Bamburgh, Amble and of course Alnwick itself. I lived here for 3 years in the 70s and it's lovely to see it thriving with lots of cafes, bars and shops to support the star of the town - the castle. Thank you

! Great little seating area in your lovely little garden and all so close to local ammenities and places to visit around Northumberland. You really couldn't pick a better spot to stay in Alnwick! Bars, restaurants and shops just a few minutes walk away. Also never farther than a half hours drive away from lots of places of interest. Great week in Northumberland at Nurse's Cottage.

This is our 2nd stay at the property, lovely comfy, clean, peaceful and love to explore the area. Spent many hours on the coast enjoying the beautiful scenery - great for walking, photography and bird watching. Would recommend a visit to; Embleton Bay, Holy Island, Northumberlandia, Bamburgh, Seahouses (fish & chips).

Lovely week in Nurse's Cottage.

Very comfortable - cosy with everything you could need. Ideal base for exploring Northumberland. Bamburgh castle, Billy Shiels Boat Trip. Craster walk around Dunstanburgh castle all superb. Alnwick castle well worth a visit but maybe leave gardens until spring/ summer for full effect. Barter Books also intriguing on a wet day. All in all a great trip.

Staying in Alnwick gave us the perfect base to explore the area.

Plenty of pubs and restaurants in Alnwick to eat in. Nurses Cottage is very comfortable and has everything you need! Set in a lovely part of town. Spending Christmas here the cottage decorated with the lovely decorations was so cosy. We will look forward to also staying in this cottage at a different time of year. Thank you.

The cottage was exactly what we needed so close to the town but also to the countryside and walks from the door. Can't complain about the November weather as it was better than forecast. We've had a lovely cosy time!

We arrived to a lovely clean cottage tucked away in the centre of Alnwick, what a perfect location!

We've had a lovely week visiting Alnmouth, Amble, stumbled across Warkworth whilst driving through and stopped off on our way back - lovely village, great walk along the river bank up to the castle and super gift called "Grays". Took the train from Alnmouth to Edinburgh - got plenty of steps in and walked for miles. Had a great Sunday roast at The Market Tavern in Alnwick and lovely Italian at Cafe Tirreno. Visited "Cook & Barker" at Newton-on-the-moor was a ten minute drive for lovely food. Finished off our week with a walk from Craster to Dunstanburgh Castle.

Had a very enjoyable stay.

The cottage was perfect for the two of us and is in a great location., ideal for exploring the area. We particularly enjoyed a visit to Cragside, Alnwick Castle, a coastal walk from Craster to Embleton beach and Bamburgh. Lots of great eating places on the doorstep, we ate out at The Dirty Bottles pub and enjoyed a pizza at Di Dopra. We found some lovely cafes on our day trips out with some very nice cakes. We loved Alnwick and our stay here. Thank you.

We've really enjoyed our week staying in Nurse's Cottage.

It is so comfortable and clean and is in a great location. We've been to Northumberland many times but this is our first stay in Alnwick. It's been excellent. Adding to previous recommendations - Harry's Bar - real ales and atmosphere. Sonnet - for a very special lunch. Its superb!

One of the best cottages we have ever stayed at.

Cannot fault it. The whole visit has been a delight, even the weather at the start of our visit could not spoil things. Have made many visits in the area whilst here but there is still more to see. Would recommend Barter Books if the weather is doubtful, also Caffe Tirreno and The Market Tavern for meals.

Very clean and great amenities. Really good location. Places to visit, Cragside, Seahouses, Edinburgh by train (only an hour) Kielder Observatory (but need decent weather as drive back a bit hairy late at night and observatory roof doesn't open in the rain)

Such a lovely cottage!

We really enjoyed using the log burner. The weather has been gorgeous and we've had some great beach walks. The highlight was seeing a pod of dolphins near Craster. Alnwick Castle gardens are stunning and we'd love to come back in April / May to see the cherry blossom and summer to see the roses. We particularly liked the atmosphere (and beer!) at Harry's Bar and enjoyed a lovely meal at Efe's Turkish Grill - gorgeous freshly grilled meals and a very warm welcome.

Couldn't think of a better place to stay for our first visit to Alnwick!

It's been just perfect for us A great location to explore the local sights and ideal for visiting Alnwick. A lovely cottager with all the required amenities. If you get a chance we recommend the Treehouse restaurant.

really comfy with lots of character and a superb location. Visited Dunstanburgh Castle, parked at Craster for easy walk in full view of the castle. Worth going in - views are superb. Also visited Alnwick Castle (great) plus walk along river bank, and Bamburgh (but busier but amazing setting) Ate at Sher Khan (excellant) and Market Tavern (excellant too!)

Attended here for our granddaughters wedding at the castle .

The cottage is absolutely lovely with a beautifully little sun trap of a small garden to the side. Would i recommend this as a stay. Absolutely 10 out of 10 for location and comfort.

We've had a wonderful week staying in this beautiful cottage, which is so comfortable.

Alnwick is a great place for touring the local area and for places to eat & drink. Barter Books is a must visit in the old railway station and the bacon rolls in the cafe are a must. We visited the living museum at Beamish, which was so interesting, Cragside, Holy Island and various other lovely places. We would definitely like to come back to Nurse's Cottage to explore the places we didn't see this time. Northumberland is such a beautiful are especially the coast.

Had everything you needed and loved the wood burner. Clean, comfortable and in a super location, quiet and secluded. Loved exploring Alnwick and the Christmas decorations were wonderful as were the different shops and pubs! Visited the garden lights which were spectacular. Hope to be back soon and stay here again
