we have had a lovely holiday.

The accommodation was spot on for our needs, the kitchen had every cooking utensil/appliance you could think of . The beds were comfortable and clean, I couldn't fault the accommodation and the location to all local amenities. I feel some of the previous peoples reviews were a bit harsh and some unnecessary comments! The owners of this cottage have clearly put a lot of effort into making this an ideal holiday home. Thank you would look forward to another stay soon.

Great location near the heart of Amble.

Easy to park outside. All you could need and a comfortable bed with the mattress topper. Some seating in the back yard would be a good idea for the future.

Fire in lounge not working.

Kitchen hob so dirty and scratched I wouldn’t use it. Unable to open and close doors and drawers easily on bedroom furniture.paintwork dirty and some off walls in the kitchen. Back yard unimaginative, weedy and dirty. Biggest shock on stripping bed on departure; mattress protector heavily stained with body fluids, pillow protectors yellow with heavy staining. Will never return to this accommodation I believe this should be published….it is an honest opinion. Cleanliness is fundamental.

The cottage was very comfy, bed was warm and cosy.

Kitchen everything there that was needed and the sitting room was ideal for sitting in and relaxing. The only thing I found difficult was the top of the stairs as they are very steep and the handle on the wall is down a couple of steps, the bath is difficult to get in and out off but I do have arthritis in my hands and knees so probably most people wouldn’t have a problem.ideal place to stay and within walking distance of harbour and High Street and shops in Amble.

The cottage is very clean and comfortable a good location for visiting the Northumberlancoast.

We found the double bed extremely uncomfortable ( mattress too hard) and as a result we had to cut short our stay.

It was a clean, comfortable cottage with all the amenities we needed in a convenient location.

Suited us very well It would be a bit “cosy” for 3 adults- quite small Location was good - a field adjacent for morning and evening dog functional walks Relatively quiet street so parking was generally available nearby but only a short stroll to town centre one way and harbour another Back yard was pretty uninviting - maybe some trellis/ artificial greenery would soften it up?

We have visited Amble 10 times now so didn’t need the supplied information but it was available Would most likely visit again

Tidy & well equipped, no problems with access or parking.

Would recommend Installing grab handles by bath to help us less agile folk to get in/out . Nightlight on stairs not working, toaster set off fire alarm after burning bread on lowest setting. Boiler timing suspect, kept coming on random times during night-time.

Great little house, nice and clean, comfortable and in easy walking distance of all amenities.

Throughly enjoyed our stay, central location for exploring the Northumbrian coast, of just exploring amble.

A warm and cozy place, less than 5 mins walk to shops and groceries.

All is clean and neat. A dryer will be good.

Loved Sea Air.

It was absolutely spotless and well maintained, and everything you’d expect to find (and more) was included. It has a lovely quirky feel of being a much-loved home with an eclectic mix of modern and retro furniture and crockery, which we really liked. It was warm and comfortable. The location is fabulous, quiet street but only a very short walk to the shops, cafes, beach, and harbour. The owner was very helpful.

Tired and unloved.

Unclean and musty upon arrival. Owner states this was a result of previous booking being cancelled resulting in the property being empty for a week - improbable. Bed linen clean but tired and not ironed. Remember to bring loo roll as these are not provided. £35.00 compensation promised but, to date, has not been paid.

Excellent holiday home.

Very comfy, quite clean, would definitely stay again. Just 1 wee issue of spider webs in most corners of the house! both myself & my wife have a slight phobia

Overall property was ok.

The location was fantastic with amenities within walking distance. However it definitely requires a good clean, we had to spend the first evening cleaning the grill tray and the majority of the dishes as they were all still dirty. There was a large stain on the carpet at the entrance, the sofa was very old and had been covered to try to stop the smell of must escaping. We had tried to hoover the carpet and found a very smelly hoover with no attachment to be able to hoover properly.

Warm, clean, quiet and a 'homely' place to return to after a day exploring the nearby sights in Northumberland.

Most uncomfortable property we have ever stayed in.

The comments are all the same from previous visitors in the visitors book. Why have these not been addressed by the owners? Furniture looks as if it has been reclaimed from the dump and extremely uncomfortable. The mattress was rock hard so sleeping was difficult. Crockery out the ark and old wooden spoons. No sieve. We only had cereal for breakfast and ate out the rest of the time. Only good thing was the property was close enough to walk to the shops and harbour. Everything is tired and dated.

Visited this property over a few years now and it’s beginning to look as if it needs some TLC to freshen up a bit.

The cottage was in a great location - Amble is a perfect place from which to see Northumberland and has good restaurants and shops.

The street was quiet and characterful. The cottage was clean, but felt a little damp. There was a dripping tap in the kitchen, with an arrangement to fix it after we left. The bed in the main bedroom was uncomfortable. The second bedroom had no bedside table. The bathroom was new, clean and in good condition. The kitchen was well equipped and ideal for what we needed, although we only had breakfast and drinks there. It was fine for 4 nights, but I am not sure I would have wanted to stay in the cottage longer.

Located in Amble, a few minutes walk from the shops in the high street and the harbour, Sea Air is the ideal base to explore the Northumberland coast.

The house is comfortable and has everything you would need. There is in street parking; we were always able to park outside the front door. For people with dogs there is a green just across the road. We would recommend without question

Conveniently placed for town and port and roads to rest of Northumberland.

Very clean. Sofa uncomfortable.

Bed very uncomfortable Spiders and webs in every corner of house.

Spider phobic partner. Very dated decoration and furniture.

Whilst the property was well equipped it did look like it had been furnished with odds and sods.

The cleanliness was poor and the property was very tired with some furniture and various decorating issues. There were trailing wires in the lounge which could have caused problems. There were cables hanging down underneath the kitchen cupboards. These are really a safeguarding issue. Upon contacting Sykes the call handler made all the right noises regarding attending to same and promised to call back. When chasing the same handler said they had contacted the owner as Sykes were not responsible for maintenance of property. I disagreed as I had a contract with them not the owner and asked for their Manager to call me which never happen. I’ve did contact owner but didn’t come to inspect the property and I provided photos and a video to highlight the state of the accommodation. When highlighting the state of the back space and rotten gate the owner said the outside space wasn’t really for use but there is a washing machine and line plus an outside shed for the storage of bikes if needed. The gate could not be used so if s bike was being stored it would have had to go through the cottage.

Excellent property.

First class equipment in kitchen. Ideal for dog owners, as outside there was a railway line that had been transformed into a walkway, with dog litter bins at frequent intervals.

Sea Air is a lovely, comfortable cottage in a quiet location, opposite a green ideal for dog-walking, and a short walk to the town centre, harbour and beach.

Comfy beds, plenty of clothes storage, well-equipped kitchen and warm when heating is required. Tasteful coastal theme running through the house.

Lovely light and airy property with dog walking within a few metres of the house.

Kitchen small but has everything you might need. Nice touch arriving to a welcome pack. Recommended.
