The Loft (Amble)

Such a lovely place to stay.

Great location, Amble has so many great places to eat in the evening and its super easy to get anywhere from there. The flat was really comfortable, especially the bed. It was clean and well looked after. Jan and Pete left a little gift for us and some milk in the fridge which was lovely. They also called towards the end to check everything. We would highly recommend this gorgeous flat and the area surrounding.

Lovely little flat overlooking the Main Street which has lots of little shops, restaurants and bars and the harbour within a few minutes walk.

Very comfortable accommodation - there was plenty for a rainy day such as books and board games but luckily we had a perfect week of sunshine. Nice comfy bed with plenty of storage space and kitchen well stocked with crockery and utensils, microwave etc. For us it was perfect for our weeks holiday and we were also left a box of chocolates and a welcome card which was very thoughtful.

The Loft is in a convenient location to explore this part of Northumberland, and is a comfortable base for a couple.

Overall we were very happy with it.

Located in the centre of Amble, this flat had everything needed for a relaxing holiday and is beautifully presented.

The Loft is perfectly located in Queen Street in Amble.

It’s a great base for exploring the surrounding areas and has everything you need. The WiFi is good, all the kitchen facilities are excellent and it is warm, cozy and quiet at night.

A great little flat to stay in during or visit to family in Amble.

Nicely located in the main street, and really handy for local shops/ puns/cafes/ restaurants. The flat itself is clean and has everything you need. The bed, never stayed in in accommodation with such an comfy bed, we slept well during out stay. Our only small criticism is the heating. I know we stayed at the end of December, but is was difficult to get warm in the living room, even with the electric heater on. Otherwise a perfect flat. WOuld we stop there again, yes, but in slightly warmer times.

Everything was as described online.

The property was comfortable, cosy and clean with everything I needed for a self catering break. Shops and restaurants were close at hand and the harbour was only a short walk away but there was no traffic noise despite the flat’s central location. I found the frequent bus service to Morpeth and Alnwick very useful.

Such a cosy and comfortable apartment.

Everything you could need in a holiday let. Probably one of the best we've been to in terms of supplies for cleaning etc .. even dishwasher and washing machine pods! . And Mr and Mrs Claus salt and pepper. The festive decorations were fabulous. Location centre of Amble so close to all amenities. The bed..... so comfortable. The duvet...... amazingly warm. The Old Boathouse is one of many restaurants within minutes walk, fabulous sea food. Plenty of coffee houses/cafes nearby. Great bus service if you don't want to drive. Only one tiny tiny negative is that the on street parking is restricted to 1 hour between 9 and 5. But there is cheap qpaid parking nearby.

The loft was an ideal place to stay in the area.

Centrally situated in Amble and the overall Northumberland Coast area. The apartment was well appointed, clean and ideal for our stay.

Our second visit to The Loft - and everything was exactly as it was last year.

Thank you! Things we liked: comfortable bed, lovely bathroom (although a small stool would be handy) loved the new pouffe! In fact everything was just perfect -including the weather ... 2 hours only of rain in the whole week!

The Loft was very comfortable,very clean and convenient for all Amble has to offer,we enjoyed our holiday very much.

This was our third visit I think that speaks for itself.

It can be noisy on a weekend with the nearby pubs. Closing the windows shuts out the noise of folks enjoying themselves. Will be back next year.

Loved our time in The Loft.

Perfect, cosy place for us to explore Amble and the surrounding Northumbrian countryside. The owners have thought of everything and the welcome gifts were a really nice touch. The location is right in the centre of everything Amble has to offer and the harbour, sea front and beaches are a very short stroll away - get to Warkworth and check out their fabulous beach if you can. Parking is cheap and convenient, and local bus services are frequent and extensive letting us visit lots of places when we wanted to ditch the car. The many guide books provided gave great insight into what was available across Northumbria. Overall, this was a 5/5 stay.

We thought the Loft was an excellent property.

Extremely well equipped and very comfortable. A great base for seeing Northumberland and perfect for the Farne Islands. Amble is quaint and has just what you need. We enjoyed our week there very much and hope to return.

Despite being on the main street in Amble, this was a really quiet location, with excellent facilities and some lovely touches, such as the milk and chocolate welcome pack.

Great central location for visiting Northumberland, we look forward to a return visit.

The accommodation was great, including a super comfortable bed, good kitchen facilities and an interesting selection of books, many about the local area.

The location was good with a reliable bus service along the beautiful coast. We left our car at home and didn’t miss it at all throughout the week as plenty of interesting walks from the doorstep and shops, bars, restaurants etc close by. Thank you to the thoughtful owners whom provided choccies and milk on arrival and checked all was ok during our stay. We’d definitely like to return.

We enjoyed staying at The Loft, it was comfortable and had everything we needed.

There was some milk and a box of chocolates left for us which we really appreciated and we found lots of walks and things to see around the area. It was our first visit to Northumberland but it won’t be our last! Thanks to Peter and Jan for leaving the flat all ready for us, it was very welcoming.

Excellent apartment right in the heart of the town.

A home from home feeling and a great place to explore the local coastline, towns and castles. Owners let us know about local events and were very helpful. We would definitely stay again when travelling back to the local area.

Perfect wee holiday flat, bed was very comfortable and we had everything we needed, the owner phoned twice with information which was appreciated!

Fabulous property, beautifully kept with home from home comforts - including great bedding and lovely big bath towels which were much appreciated!

We loved the central location and being less than 5 minutes walk from Amble’s harbour and hostelries. It’s not called the ‘friendliest port’ for nothing - vibrant place to be even on the blustiest of days. Loads to do - fabulous beach walks, castles to visit (Warkworth & Bamburgh), bird sanctuary’s (even as a non twitcher these are fascinating) shops to potter in and plenty of cafes, pubs & restaurants all in easy reach. It’s a ten out of ten from us!

A lovely property set right on the main street but you don't notice it.

You aren't disturbed by it. The facilities within the flat are good but we would not recommend it to someone with a physical disability as the stairs to the flat are quite steep.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Loft, a very nice place fulfilling all our needs, an excellent base for our tour around Northumberland, Beamish and Holy Island to name but two, the only improvement which didn’t spoil our time would be to fix the very noisy cooker hood vent that bangs when windy and the toilet need’s securing, over all a super holiday accommodation

The Loft is a great holiday apartment for two people.

Well proportioned and comfortable. Our preference is to leave the car and use public transport where possible, so the close by stop for the x18 and x20 services was ideal. Close by attractions and locations including Hauxley nature reserve, Warkworth and Alnmouth (wonderful beach) were our favourites

A beautiful apartment in the centre of Amble so very convenient for both the town and surrounding attractions.

We found the apartment very comfortable and spacious and the kitchen has everything required. The owners kindly left a generous welcome pack and contacted us to make sure all was well. Free on-street parking outside from 4pm to 10am. The public car park is a short walk away and not expensive.

Situated on the high street in Amble which was handy for shops, pubs, restaurants etc. Only a short walk to the harbour and marina and an excellent base to explore Northumberland from. Would definitely recommend.

Very comfortable.

Really well maintained and spotless apartment. Excellent location for visiting Amble and the Northumbrian Coast. Perfect for a couple to escape from normal busy lives

The christmas decorations and the bottle of bubbly made for a very welcoming arrival.

We had a couple of messages between ourselves and Jan and Peter which were both helpful and generous.

I would give this property 4.

9 out of 5 if it was possible. The only reason it's not five stars is because of the parking. However, once I'd worked out the best use of the time limits and convenient car park, especially on the morning I was leaving, it worked well. Otherwise I was extremely comfortable.. And a big thank you to the owners for their concern and local weather information on my arrival day which coincided with red weather warnings.

The Loft is an amazing apartment in the heart of Amble.

It is cosy,comfortable and very well equipped. The bed was super comfy! There is plenty of information about the area available,and a lovely piece in the folder on Ambles history. A box of chocolates and a note from the owners were a special touch too. Would highly recommend this little gem.

Absolutely gorgeous property on the Main Street.

We were able to park with no issues. Welcome box of chocolates was a lovely touch. Amble itself is gorgeous with some amazing food places especially the fish shack. I would recommend this to anyone needing a break from the rat race.

Lovely apartment, couldn’t fault it

Amble is an ideal base for touring the Northumberland coast and the Loft is very comfortable and clean.

It has everything that you could reasonably need and is in the middle of the town and harbour and so within easy walking distance of places to eat and drink. The only downside is that there is no bespoke parking and the street has parking restrictions during normal daytime hours, although there are nearby car parks.
