Later, step through into the spacious and fully-equipped kitchen/diner to rustle up a hearty meal that the whole family can enjoy at the dining table before heading outside to either the rear patio or front garden to savour the last light over Northumberland with a glass of your favourite tipple in hand; there is even a heated and covered glass pod so you can enjoy the garden whatever the weather.

Fantastic Property just as described, stayed for 3 days and should have stopped longer as we really enjoyed the area and the accommodation.
Coast Cottage is in an ideal situation, close to the village centre and the beach.
The cottage is really well equipped and furnished. It feels very homely. The large garden is a real bonus. (For the owner only: Our only disappointment was the smell of stale smoke throughout the cottage. As non smokers, it was very obvious). Otherwise everything was great and would highly recommend.
I can only apologise for the smell of smoke. We are certainly a none smoking property, unfortunately we are unable to police this. I do provide out door seating both side of the cottage in a hope this facilitates guest who smoke . The housekeepers works very hard to eliminate smells before a co new guest arrives. Kippers and tobacco smoke are particular difficult to eliminate . Thank you so very much for your wonderful review.
Great cottage in Bamburgh.
Well situated for easy walking to the beach, castle and the Grace Darling museum. Restaurants were excellent - Potted Lobster and Lord Crewe both did fabulous fish dishes which means they are very busy so you do need to book. Definitely would return.

A lovely cottage in a convenient spot in lovely Bamburgh.
House was clean and smelled lovely, was very well equipped with anything we needed. Beds were comfortable and towels thick and fluffy. Owners left us a generous welcome hamper along with good coffee. Extra gift left for us when owner had to pop in to garden. Thank you. We had a lovely stay.
The cottage was very thoughtfully furnished, appointed, with all necessary home from home comforts and tastefully decorated.
I used the second bedroom and for some reason the bed linen and towels had a slight musty smell, it may not have been refreshed for our booking? The parking wasn’t ideal with us searching somewhere to park on the road. Otherwise a super stay with the welcome pack being a lovely touch which was extremely welcome. Thank you.
Thank you for your feedback. There is plenty parking on the grass, I do realise that road parking is the preferred parking and is not always possible. I can assure you All the beds are changed and the cottage fully serviced before any arrival. We’ve had the same housekeepers for 6 years without any issues. It’s so lovely to hear you enjoyed your stay over the weekend .

Very comfortable cottage.
Every care taken to ensure we had everything we needed. Very generous welcome basket which I felt showed a great deal of kindness and consideration. The location is perfect. 2 minutes walk from bustling Bamburgh but lovely and quiet in the cottage. The garden is an absolute treat! Would recommend.

Good location in the centre of Bamburgh Kitchen was a good size with everything you need.
Lounge was comfortable but think it would be a bit snug with four adults. Beds were comfortable and shower was great. Garden and pod were lovely. On a whole the property was clean although there were some dog hairs on the bottom of the snug chair and kitchen stools. We hope to stay at Coast Cottage again in the future
Gosh I’m so sorry about the dog hair. A quick call and the housekeeper would have popped in to sort this out. It is so very difficult to remove everyone as they get lodged in the fabric. We do have a wonderful g-tech carpet sweeper that is very effective at deal with dog hair. The lounge area is a rectangle space the 3 seater sofa is a large recliner that is more than comfortable for 3 people . The cosy chair movable to have 4 people view TV. The lay out is to maximise the view into the garden rather than have a sofa facing into an internal wall. The pod seats 6-8 persons.
Second stay at this accommodation and the house & garden are perfect, stunning fully enclosed garden for the dogs and the house has everything you need for self catering accommodation.
Tv in living room could do with updating as not all the apps work as they should ( very minor niggle ) Unfortunately the parking situation has made us question whether we would return again, neighbours putting old bicycle and traffic cones on the PUBLIC road to reserve their spaces outside their front doors has become increasingly problematic. Being confronted by white van man for moving his bicycle a few yards to allow us to park our car is a hassle I can do without when on holiday. Hopefully this situation is resolved as its been reported to the Police and local authorities. Otherwise an extremely happy holiday in near perfect accommodation.
I’m so pleased to hear you enjoyed Coast cottage once again Did you spot the new sofa as it looks exactly like the old one just so much more comfortable also the black oyster swivel chair in the sitting room. Alias yes the peak season brings the usual problems as it does in any small village…parking. There is parking on the grass. This is where I park all the time when at Coast. Never had an issue by doing this. I do realise that everyone would like roadside parking. this is a cul-de-sac and all residents parking including guests staying at cottages. It is just so easy to reverse onto the concrete path then into the grass. I’m so pleased you enjoyed the cottage. I will look at the TV I don’t really watch much TV therefore not sure about apps and the like. I’ll go to John Lewis and speak to there tech department to see what I can do to improve this. It’s frustrating when people take it upon themselves to create blocks on the road. Yes it illegal for them to do so as it is an adopted high way.
The cottage was equipped to a very high standard and the garden was well maintained.
However, guests should be aware that there is no allocated car parking. Parking is a free for all on the public road or on a grass verge - this is in competition with local residents and clearly a sensitive issue. One afternoon I had to park in the village square. Secondly, the property is referred to as dog friendly but the four houses comprising the terrace have access through the back gardens. We had a neighbour walk through one evening, a gardener turned up unexpectedly in the morning and a gate was left open one evening when we returned, possibly due to a courier walking through. These are important matters for guests with dogs or young children.
I constantly refer to how parking works. Also on our welcome call we give instructions on how to park. There is ample parking just not roadside. The grass area is for parking. It is all residential parking in this area including letting cottages. The gardener is very courteous and perfectly safe. Previously he was a school caretaker therefore holds necessary credentials to be near children. He does not attend early morning usually nearer lunch time. As you say the garden is lovely therefore the grass needs to be mowed every week. Dogs are very welcome as you say the postman and delivery do have access across the property. As does the window cleaner and oil delivery. Everything cannot be seen to on a changeover day. There is no public right of way across the garden. It is wise not to open the front door to let dogs out without checking all the gates are closed before letting your dog roam around the garden. Also children should be supervised at all times . It is a fully planted garden.

I’m so pleased your enjoys Coast cottage . We did explain about the parking during our welcome call. Road side parking is at a premium there lots of grass space parking adjacent to the roadside parking. Which personally I prefer.
We have visited the area many times over the years but found Coast Cottage to be the most comfortable and well equipped of the places we have stayed - wish we’d known about it sooner!
A terrific welcome pack too - thank you. Only a short walk from local amenities, and great for dog walks. A huge recommendation from us and we will definitely be back.
Yes Coast cottage lends itself to be a great location.only a couple of minutes walk to the heart of the village. It’s the best of both worlds peace and quite while just around the corner is the busy village . Be lovely to host yourself another time .

The cottage is excellent with everything well thought-out.
The kitchen is fully equipped and we had a welcome pack including bread, marmalade, prosecco, cake and chocolates. There is also a handy downstairs toilet. Upstairs, there are two good bedrooms and a bathroom with a very effective shower and a bath; good quality towels, etc. The arrival and departure processes were simple.

We cannot recommend this cottage enough , absolutely fabulous.
Everything was included from all the kitchen equipment to dog bowls , treats & poo bags . It was exceptionally clean , the beds were very comfortable & throughout was tastefully decorated. Thank you for the welcome pack , it was very much appreciated. The garden is very secure for dogs The location is brilliant, at the bottom of the street you will see the castle , we never used our car as everything is so close by . We will definitely return , in fact we didn’t want to leave , so thank you for a very lovely stay
Coast Cottage is by far the best equipped cottage we have ever stayed at - a real home from home .
The owners have put a great deal of thought and care into this property and we loved it . A very generous welcome pack was waiting for us when we arrived and the owner called later to check everything was OK which was very thoughtful. The garden is amazing and very well looked after , our dogs loved it especially chasing the rabbits . We liked the location , just a short walk and you are on the Main Street in Bamburgh. The beds are very comfortable and it's a nice quiet location. Our dogs enjoyed the treats and we enjoyed everything in the welcome pack . We parked close by , its on street parking and we didn't have any issues . Bamburgh is a beautiful village and we will no doubt visit and stay at Coast Cottage again.
Thank you for your extremely kind review. We get such a great buzz when we find people have enjoyed the cottage. And of course your fur baby has had an exciting stay. The rabbits set up home around 3 years ago. I think the warren is quite large now judging by the undulating mounds that are appearing in the lawns. I have lost a number of plants to them, not so bothered as children and pets seen to enjoy their presence.
The property was exceptionally well appointed.
It had everything we needed and more. The garden was amazing and beautifully kept. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and much appreciated.

All the facilities you need in the cottage and plenty of eating and drinking options just a short walk away. The owner kindly left some welcoming gifts and called to check everything was fine and to provide some useful tips about things to do in the area.

Lovely cottage, really well equipped.
Beds are really comfy (although new pillows are needed) not really enough seating in the lounge for 4 people, to comfortably enjoy the tv. Really well heated and the shower is powerful. Dog friendly and close to the beach and the pubs! Our only gripe was the people staying in Cottage 3 where horrendously loud, woken at 6.45am by the tv and shouting throughout the evening till 11pm, didn't make for a relaxing week as the voices triggered the dogs.
I so sorry to hear guest’s staying at no 3 were so inconsiderate. This is a first we find that our and no 1 also no 3 guests are considered as everyone is out to have a relaxing time. The TV is on an angle and pivot joint which can be moved the allow all to see the TV . Yes you do need to turn the single chair to get the best view from it. The geometry of the room does not allow to arrange 4 seats in a row. 4 pillow are new also there is a selection of pillow types between the 2 rooms. It’s just so difficult to have a range of pillows . I will take this in board and take a look and see what I can do to get a better mix of comfort . On another note thank you for clearing away all the glass from the lamp that got smashed onto the floor. Such a shame as I bought this lamp overseas and unable to replace like for like. Im sure I will be able to find something in time that works well with the room colours.

We would be delighted to host you at another time. We are making a few tweeks to things making your stay more rememberable. You had the chance to sit on the new sofa during your stay. Still recline with the addition on a I sofa charging point at either side. A surprise for us as these were not mentioned at the point of sale.

Well equipped, great welcome pack and lovely Xmas decorations to make it very cosy and festive! And excellent for the dog. Was able to enjoy many things without driving far making it a real holiday. It was very warm in the cottage despite the cold weather. I loved the bath!

This cottage has been very well thought out and has everything you could ever need plus more.
Fantastic welcome pack and we loved the handwash etc, such a lovely thought. We loved the pod and the garden was perfect for our dog. We did have an issue with the log burner but contacted the owner who sent a chimney sweep out and we had a wet birds nest stuck in the chimney. It was removed and the log burner worked perfect. We were really impressed how prompt the owner dealt with the situation. The hightlight of the holiday was how close we were to the beach. We were there every morning to watch the sun rise which was the perfect start to the day. Such a comfortable and enjoyable stay with great facilities near by. We have come home relaxed and really look forward to visiting again.

We have stayed in Bamburgh many times, but the location of Coast Cottage is the best.
15 mins walk from the beach and 5 mins from the centre of the village. We arrived after dark and the cottage looked cozy & welcoming, once you get inside it's hard to leave. I really appreciated the Scottish Sea Kelp hand & shower gels, it's like being at a spa. If you're cooking a meal there is everything you need and all the appliances are high end, (we couldn't find a wine bottle stopper though)

Coast cottage is a bit deceptive your in the middle of a very busy and bustling village yet you step out into the garden and it peace and quite. The best of both worlds.
We enjoyed our short stay at Coast Cottage.
The accommodation was warm, comfortable, well presented and provided everything we needed. The spacious garden, with pod, was an added bonus. We were greeted with a very generous Welcome Pack. We had a minor problem with a basin plug and parking could be a bit tricky, but neither impacted on our level of satisfaction. The cottage is in a quiet location a few minutes walk from the heart of the village and wow, what a village it is, unique and amazingly unspoilt. We can recommend Coast Cottage.

The house is in a fantastic location in Bamburgh and particularly suited for anyone who has dogs to bring on holiday.
The house was easy to find, well furnished and extremely well equipped. The owned were very helpful and clearly wanted to ensure we had a good visit. The outdoor seating pod was a revelation! The location is two minutes from some tremendous eating places/pubs. Would highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to explore the beautiful Northumberland coast.

The cottage was lovely, clean, well furnished and the kitchen was excellent with everything you could possibly need.
On arrival there was a Welcome pack which certainly started the holiday on a nice note. The cottage felt very welcome and comfortable. The cottage was in Banburgh and allowed us to walk to the beach and the local restaurants. The cottage did not have a dedicated parking space therefore it was very important to be considerate towards the local residents.
We’re so pleased to hear our cottage meet your expectations. Beach walks are normally on the top of people’s list. 5 minutes from the door to a sandy walk. There is extra parking on the grass area to the right of the stone arch. When needs must.
Everything has been thought of in this house, anything you might require is available and such a big useful kitchen.
Great garden and location is spot on. Waking up and walking out to the castle and beach is idyllic

What a wonderful property - home away from home.
So impressed with the cleanliness, comfort and how fully equipped the house was. The owners called us on our first night to check everything was OK, which was a lovely personal touch compared to properties where you receive folders full of 'do's and don't's'. We had a fabulous two weeks, and I've already recommended to friends and family - as well as getting home and ordering some of the beautiful things that were in the house (loved the soap dispensers and the cordless vacuum!). Miss the house, miss the bunnies, miss Bamburgh.

It’s a lovely cottage, the furniture is comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and it’s beautifully furnished.
The garden is a good place to relax and watch the rabbits and butterflies. The hosts have put a lot of effort into making this a wonderful place to stay.

Lovely well looked after property.
Beautifully clean, has everything you could need. We have never stayed in a cottage where so much is supplied, down to lovely quality handwash, shampoo, conditioner, etc. Great location for strolling around Bamburgh and down to the beach. Lovely back garden which our 2 doggos loved exploring, especially the rabbits who occupied it on a daily basis! The lawn was mown at least twice while we were there for 2 weeks, and the pod in the back garden became a regular for a glass of wine and our late afternoon holiday scrabble tournament. Warm, cozy, comfy beds and bed linen and towels galore. Most relaxing holiday for a very long time. Thankyou.

Very well equipped house with lovely large garden, only a few minutes walk from cafes, and restaurants, and near to beach and some great coastal walks.
The pod in the garden is unusual, but a great idea for when the weather is poor ( though we were lucky and had lovely weather). Owners have thought of everything in terms of equipping the house, and also left us a very nice welcome pack. Would definitely stay there again.

This cottage is beautifully presented and has got everything you could possibly want during your stay.
Perfect location - Three pubs within 5 minutes walk. The Victoria Hotel was our favourite for food. 10 minutes walk to the beach. The garden is exquisite and my dogs loved inspecting every corner of it. Makes it so relaxing knowing they can’t get out. We will return.

We had an excellent weekend stay at Coast Cottage, one of the best equipped places we have ever stayed in.
It is very convenient for eating out with 3 very good restaurants just round the corner and also within walking distance of the castle and beach !
And good weather to enjoy. We can’t always say the weather will be great. I just hope we have laid on enough good cheer .

Had a great 2 day stay
We had a fantastic stay at Coast Cottage, it was perfect for us!
Everything we needed was provided and the cottage was warm and comfortable. It is ideally located in Bamburgh for the beach - we were able to take our two springer spaniels for a run every day! Northumberland is a wonderful place to explore and the cottage is ideally placed for days out and walks. We would definitely recommend it and would love to go back!

Probably the best equipped cottage I've ever stayed in!
Very warm and cosy. Superb fire with massive wood supply. Plenty of games to keep kids (and adults) amused. Very dog-friendly with lovely enclosed garden (provided that your dog is not a fence-jumper). Really good shower. Well positioned for the village where there are good eating options and an easy walk to the beach. Would happily return in the future

The cottage was lovely and exceeded our expectations.
We felt so at home here.My son said it was the best UK holiday he'd had and loved his bedroom (he's 15).Lots of lovely touches and we would definitely return.Suchj a beautiful location.We visited lots of other places Alnwick,Amble,Seahouses which we're all great days out but if staying again we would return here.Great for the local beach.We took quite a bit of food with us as we didn't want to be shopping whilst we were there.

Great cottage in an ideal spot.
Close to beach, pubs and cafés. The cottage was so well equipped with everything you could need and more and spotlessly clean. We loved the heated pod in the garden, great for cool evenings and enjoying the garden in the rain! Our dogs loved the garden with lots of nooks and crannies to explore. We'll be recommending to our family and friends.

The property is in exceptional condition.
On arrival you just know everything is clean. Carolyn(owner) is very patient and kind if you have any queries and that is so reassuring. The pod in the garden is such a great idea and the garden itself is lovely. The situation in the village means it’s an easy walk to castle, shops and pubs. Thank you Carolyn for a lovely stay

Perfect location for a short stay in Northumberland.
Bamburgh is delightful and Coast Cottage puts you right in the heart of it. Perfect base for my participation in the Bamburgh 100km cycle sportive. The pod in the garden a great place to be outside but sheltered.
Very comfortable, well equipped cottage and garden.
Lovely personal touches which made us (and our dog!) feel very welcome. The garden is delightful and ideal for an active dog who needs an enclosed garden. We had a very cold North wind all week and really enjoyed the shelter of the garden pod. We have holidayed in Bamburgh 5 times and this is by far the best place we have stayed, both in terms of location and standard of accommodation. Will definitely be back

The cottage was everything as listed and more.
It was clean, warm and well stocked with everything we needed for our trip. We were made to feel very welcome, including our two dogs. Ideal location for the village and the beach.
So please you enjoyed your visit to Bamburgh it a dog paradise for sure they would return home happy. X

Coast cottage was the perfect find, cracking location just off the main strip in Bamburgh. A cosy cottage providing everything you need with comfort throughout. The garden was enjoyed by our dog who could stretch his legs every morning before we headed to explore the beaches. would definitely stay again.

Coast Cottage is a delightful place with all the home comforts you could want or need.
The owner David and his partner were extremely helpful and also very thoughtful. When we arrived we found a bottle of Prosecco waiting along also with , scones, jams , fresh coffee and also biscuits, milk, bread and butter in s little gift hamper. This was a lovely generous welcome to a perfect peaceful weekend. The cottage has absolutely everything you need for a relaxing stay and a lovely log burner . It's warm, clean and very and cosy. Lots of fresh towels are provided and the bed was very comfortable. The rooms are beautiful upstairs and there is also a freestanding bath and shower. The host David called on Friday evening after we were settled to welcome us and he gave us lots of suggestions for places to visit and/or to go to eat out. The garden is very nice indeed and our dogs enjoyed running round the pod which would be lovely to sit in with a glass of wine on a summer's evening . There is a heater in it and lights so useable anytime of the year. We woke up to bunnies hopping round the garden on Saturday morning. What a lovely sight. Coast Cottage is nicely tucked away in a very quiet and peaceful part of Bamburgh and just a short stroll away from the shoos and The Castle and the gorgeous Bamburgh beach. I would highly recommend. We had a perfect time.

The best equipped holiday home in which we have stayed.
Everything you might think you need - and then some. The bed was so comfortable, a great recliner sofa for watching TV, Alexa upstairs - and down, plenty hooks for hanging things - which, in most places are conspicuous by their absence. To top it all, the welcome basket was superb, thank you.

The cottage was the best I have ever used.
It contained everything you could ever want and more. Lovely comfy beds. 3 TV's and even 2 Elexas. Well equipped kitchen with every appliance and crockery. The owners left a lovely welcome basket with cake and fresh bread and in the fridge a bottle of milk and Prosecco. The location was perfect. Close to all the pubs and restaurants and a nice stroll to the gorgeous Bamburgh beach and castle. I would highly recommend this property. I don't have one negative

The attention to detail was gorgeous a real home from home. The bed was so comfy and the garden was just perfect our dog loved it. The location of the cottage truly couldn't have been better. Lovely welcome basket was the added touch which made this a truly perfect holiday for us. Thank you

! Coast cottage is a stunning property. The cleanliness on arrival was perfect, & couldn't be faulted at all, the welcome hamper was by far the best we've had in any holiday let, thank you. Both Beds were so comfortable. The owner has fabulous taste in interior design & a lot of thought had gone into the property. The cottage has everything you need, a perfect home from home. A courtesy call from the owners partner a day after we arrived to check everything was fine was a lovely touch we thought. The garden is perfect, a lovely area, with beautiful plants. The pod is a perfect addition for those with children, lots of games to keep them occupied . We weren't aware that the access through the rear gate along to the other properties was shared via Coast Cottage, it wasn't that much of a problem though & the postie was so polite & would shout if he needed through. The gardener unfortunately didn't & we were alerted by our dogs that he was there, so our apologies to him, our dogs are really friendly. We haven't stayed in a holiday let with CCTV & this property has it at the front & back, a tad instrusive for us unfortunately, but that's just our personal opinion & it does advise you on the property description that it's there. Parking wasn't an issue, we were respectful of residents properties at all times & we managed to always get 2 cars in the street. A short 5 minute walk takes you to the village. Thank you so much for a lovely week in your beautiful cottage. For future clients....you won't be disappointed booking Coast Cottage... like us.....you wont want to leave!
