Glebe Cottage is a delightful detached cottage situated in the grounds of the Glebe in the village of Bamburgh. The well equipped accommodation has the convenience of being all on ground floor level and French doors lead from the master bedroom onto a secluded patio and garden where the stunning views towards the castle can be admired.

I think the property was rather over-priced.
The location was great but the provision of kitchen implements was only just adequate and there was no welcome pack of essentials (milk , eggs, biscuits etc) as these items were not easy yo find in the village. There was also no comments book available in which to leave our thoughts on the property. In decades of staying in self-catering accommodation we have never stayed in a property with neither a welcome pack nor a comments book.
Glebe Cottage was delightful.
Completely peaceful, tucked away but only a short walk to the village and beach. It had a few idiosyncrasies such as the erratic hot water in the kitchen, the vintage television and the lack of any mobile signal, but in all other respects it suited us very well. Being all on one level was an advantage for those with dodgy knees! Eric the owner was very helpful on arrival. We would certainly go back and recommend it to others.
The property was clean.
The heating was a bit hit and miss and we found the beds uncomfortable. The enclosed garden was perfect for exercising our dog. The location was good with a view of Bamburgh Castle from the bedroom and close to amenities.
