This was a lovely holiday cottage.

Spotless and had everything you needed. Perfect location too and the parking was extremely close.

We had a lovely stay at the paddocks would highly recommend the people in the north easy are very welcoming we shall go back.

Everything you could wish for was there for you

This was a really lovely, clean and comfortable property in a great location.

Perfect for exploring the many castles and coastline in the area. The cottage was well equipped and parking was a bonus.

We found the property excellent, everything we needed was there.

We have booked it again next year. It’s convenient for touring the area.

Ideally placed accomodation for easy access to local beaches and restaurants and a great base to explore the wonderful Northumberland coast

My wife and I spent a wonderful seven nights in February 2026 at 3 The Paddock in Benthall.

Everything is provided to make staying there comfortable and relaxing. We particularly liked that the bungalow had a washer/dryer. This is a two part holiday, our next stay is in The Lake District so, being able to wash clothes saved on carting dirty laundry to our next destination. The heating is excellent. The en-suite wash/shower room is great. The WiFi is fast and reliable. I was a bit concerned about the parking being 100 yards away as listed but, it’s actually only about 45 yards away in a reserved spot for two vehicles. It is a very quiet location but, within easy walking distance of the nearest bar and restaurant. The beaches are very close, only about ten minutes easy walking distance away and are clean and beautiful. We will definitely be returning. Thank you.

Second time in your cottage had a lovely holiday hope to return again

The accommodation was perfect.

It was exceptionally well laid out for one person but I suspect it would be equally suitable for two. The layout of large open plan lounge kitchen and small dining area meant that everything was easily to hand. Large amount of kitchen work surface was excellent. Seating very comfortable. Bed was excellent and ensuite shower worked perfectly. The only downside I experienced was the "difficulty" of resetting the kettle on the base but that was probably just my incompetence!!!

We had an issue at home meaning we had to leave Wednesday so unfortunately cutting our stay short, however our overview of 3 the paddock is: A lovely comfortable and well appointed holiday let, that gives access to some of Northumberland's finest sandy beaches and Castles.

Two small maintenance downsides, the plug in the hand basin would stick down and not release,and the tap to the basin was constantly dripping , wasting water.

A perfect quiet tucked away spot within a minute’s walk of the sea.

Perfect for walks along the beach or just gazing out to see across the rocky outcrops. The property had everything we needed for a relaxing break.

We recently stayed for a week in this beautiful cottage, from walking in was our sort of place.

Open plan living room/kitchen area, with everything you needed, large fridge/freezer, washer/dryer with a cupboard which we used to dry our clothes, as had the boiler in. Lovely bedroom with ample storage with a bathroom off with a large walk in shower area. Very clean indeed and the added bonus was a lovely welcome pack to greet us. The only slight biggie would be, would have liked a little shelf in the shower as no storage for shampoo/soap etc, but the location was great and somedays never moved the car. Ideal for walking Beadnell Beach, to Seahouses and also Bamburgh, also great eateries in walking distance, we will be returning next year.

Good location and nice property. There was a couple of things that need attention, half of the lights in the living area weren't working, there were no trays for the oven and the key safe wasn't working.

Our 2nd visit to 3 The Paddock and just as good as last time.

Extremely well equipped with no skimping on consumables, eg loo roll, dishwasher tablets etc. Spotlessly clean and fantastic location. Lovely welcome pack. We will certainly be back and would highly recommend to friends & family.

We spent our first night cleaning cupboards, pots etc.

Fridge and the Freezer we had to defrost because of a block of ice in the bottom drawer that we couldn’t open at first. Mouldy bath mat didn’t use. Kettle to be cleaned etc. parking restrictions, neighbour making awkward to move our car. Photo misleading, doesn’t show neighbours three cars and jet ski and also buster table looks at corrugated fence that is about 1 metre away. Dust Bins had to drop down steps and then walked off site. Glass had to be dropped off at the local car park. The reviews and aesthetics look great but far from reality from our experience. Will never visit 3 The Paddock again. It took the edge of our holiday. How they can charge £75 fee for people leaving the place in a mess to arrive in a mess is beyond belief. Reviews look great but not our experience. We stay in cottages all the time but never have experienced one like this ever.

A shelf in the shower room would be a great help.

Other than that the cottage was up to the usual good standards of Syles Cottages.

Lovely cottage.

Our third visit. It is so central to the beach and village but peaceful and relaxing as well. Lovely comfortable bed and plenty of living space.

Lovely little bungalow in an excellent location, very near the beach with easy strolls to some excellent cafés and places to eat.

The kitchen was clean and well equipped - better than some places I've stayed. And the bathroom was clean with a great roomy shower. For me the only downside was that the sofa and chair looked great, but I didn't find them particularly comfortable. Nevertheless I would definitely consider staying again.

Second visit to this property, good comfortable accommodation in a fantastic setting, 3min from the sea 5 minutes walk to the beach.

We arrived after a stressful drive due to holiday weekend.

Delighted to find the welcome pack with t bags biscuits and honey.Thanks to the owners we soon were refreshed and delighted with the comfortable and excellent facilities the bungalow provided.Super bedroom with clean and very comfortable bed .living room delightful private and very relaxing and the kitchen and appliances were first class. We had a wonderful week at the Paddock and will definitely return in the future.

We have stayed at 3 The Paddock before and this trip was the same.

First class accommodation, nice and comfortable. The bed was amazing. An excellent venue for the two of us. Can see why it always seems to be booked.

This was our third stay at this lovely cottage.

So easy to walk to the sea which we did quite a few times. Beadnell is a wonderful village to stay in, this cottage is perfect for a couple and has everything you need. We were able to sit outside a couple of times, as the weather was warm and dry for a few days.

This is a lovely little space for 2 people to stay and explore the surrounding area.

The cottage is very well equipped with everything you need for your stay. The area around Beadnell is very pretty with great beaches and houses not to mention Bamburgh Castle.

Holiday very good we will be coming back when we need to have a complete rest peace and quiet in a lovely cottage.

The water tap in the kitchen diner was continually dripping which was annoying.

The property imformation book was way out of date eg.events taking place dated 2019 as a visitor in a new place and area what is essential is up to date facts to fully enjoy our break

Perfect little cottage.

Comfy bed and nice living space well equipped. Two minute walk to the Landing bar and beach. Only complaint the hot water boiler was switched off and we didn't realise until the second morning when the shower was cold. Will stay again no bother.

Lovely, bright and spacious property.

Only thing missing was general cleaning equipment, bleach, tea towels(only 1 gor the week) dish clothes, toilet rolls etc.

A lovely holiday cottage in a quiet area of Beadnell.

Accessible to the beach and lovely walks. The cottage has all requirements for a relaxing break. Easy access to good places to visit, including Holy Island, Bamburgh, Cragside, Craster, Etal & Ford and Alnwick all within easy travel time. Keith & Margaret

This cottage was warm, comfortable and had everything you needed to make a great stay.

The weather was cold and windy so it was wonderful to come back to a warm cosy cottage. The best advantage was able to walk 5 minutes to the beach. Perfect. We will return.

What a fabulous property.

On arriving on quite a cold February day the rooms were all cosy warm and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with crockery, glasses, cooking utensils and pans. Bedroom was spacious and bed very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the shower glorious. All-in-all a wonderful stay.

We stayed 1 week 2nd Feb - 9th Feb 2024 Even though it was cold and windy we had a fabulous warm comfy stay at 3 The Paddock property is a credit to the owners beautiful well maintained clean and has everything you need to make it a home to home stay.

Gorgeous beach and harbour within walking distance also two gorgeous local restaurants The Craster arms and The Landings, accommodation is central for exploring further. Shops and amenities just over a mile away in Seahouses with some more lovely restaurants. Thankyou for a lovely stay and would love to return again someday! PERFECT

A beautiful property with everything you need for two people in a perfect location in this lovely village.

Had a wonderful stay at 3 the paddock, the cottage was warm and welcoming, clean and comfortable, and in a great location for exploring the area , we would certainly book this cottage again!

We have been coming to Beadnell for quite a lot of years now but this is our first stay at this property.

It was excellent, the layout, the facilities, the cleanliness were all first class and the welcome pack was a very nice touch. We would most definitely stay at this property again and again provided we can get in as it is obviously very popular. Well done to Frank and Ella for creating such a fabulous place to stay.

Perfect location for seeing Northumberland. Appreciated the welcome pack. Property was warm and comfortable, even sometimes too warm.

This was a long overdue visit to the east coast, but a real joy - even the weather joined in!

Having driven over from the west coast I didn't need to drive again till the return home. The village is served by a bus - 418 and x18 that goes from Newcastle to Berwick and even though I forgot my bus pass it was easily affordable with a £2 max. per trip or a day trip ticket at £6.70. From the bungalow to the beach was 2 mins over a dune and Beadnell Bay beach, along with many others, is just amazing. The sand is firm and you can walk to the rocks at the far end in about an hour when the tide is fairly well in. The only thing to be wary of is the lack of shops. There is a small shop but, fortunately, I called at Alnick to food shop for the week. I'm sure there were places to eat and drink but I didn't look for them, happy to return to the Paddock where I could relax with my meal. I had a great time and hope you do to

No 3 The paddock in Beadnell I can recommend the bungalow very high standard.

Stunning bungalow very modern and spacious.

Well equipped and in a quiet peaceful location in the heart of the old fishing settlement. Had a wonderful week and never used the car at all. Will be back soon.

Our 3rd stay and so warm and cosy, everything you would need in kitchen area , very modern. The lovely king size bed , a really good nights sleep and good size shower in en-suite.Just minutes from beach and excellent eating places and well stocked village store.A perfect place to relax .

it’s location is excellent not to far to travel to any tourist places. Pub and restaurants in village very good beach is lovely for a refreshing walk not far away. Thought I better mention Key box does not seem to lock I don t know whether you are aware of this. Overall lovely cottage.

We enjoyed our stay at this property very much, it was a high standard and very comfortable.

The only problem we had was being told by the gentleman next door quite curtly that we couldn't leave our car at the property and the parking bay was at the railings outside, he said it was in the book, we couldn't see that, and as my partner walks with a walker it made it more difficult going backwards and forwards to the property. We had a fantastic stay, the paddock was lovely and clean with everything we required and only a few minutes walk to the beautiful beach, we will definitely be back.

3 The Paddock is a beautiful bungalow in a fantastic location.

2 minutes to the beach through the sand dunes or 5 minutes to the fishing harbour, still with the old lime kilns. Beadnell has a feel good factor, that makes leaving hard. The property is high spec, with all mid cons, and extremely comfortable. We will return.
