“First impressions do count and to be welcomed with the utility room acting as a temporary store room for the hoover, highchair, stair gate, clothes airer mop/ bucket and the tumble drier perched on the worktop blocking the window set the general tone for this property.”

The twin bedroom lacked wardrobe space which was not ideal for a full complement of adults saying in the property. Whilst I understand both the owners and agents need to make a profit on their investment and services it was disappointing that not even a dish cloth was provided and the glassware/ cutlery sets were far from matching. The property whilst in a great location, is tired and requires investment in furnishing and repair - with bathroom shower tray being a very slow drain and the ensuite heated towel rail not working together with a broken blind in the living area. Balcony furniture compared to all the neighbours on this development is of poor quality and reflects ultimately on the tardiness of the property.

Thank you for your feedback. While we appreciate that every guest is entitled to their opinion, we do not agree with several of the points raised. The utiliy room is intended as a practical space and houses equipment that supports the operation of the property for all guests. The twin bedroom is accurately represented in the listing and the storage provided is in keeping with the room's size. We do not advertise a full inventory of consumable cleaning items, and the crockery and cutlery are functional and more than sufficient for the property's occupancy , regardless of whether every piece is identical. Both the interior and exterior of the property were professionally decorated during April and May this year. The property is regularly maintained and inspected - and there were no significant issues such as the blind, shower drain, or towel rail. These would have been addressed promptly had they been brought to our attention during your visit. As for the balcony furniture it is supplied for durabilty and suitability rather than to match neighbouring properties. We believe this review presents an unfairly negative impression of a property that continues to receive many satisfied guests and accuratey reflects what is advertised. The property is neither tired nor tardy. Property Owner

About the location

BEADNELL

Seahouses 1.5 miles; Bamburgh 5 miles.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.

Note: Subject to availability, guests are able to use on-site tennis courts
