2A The Anchorage

Lovely location , we had visited before and already booked for our next stay.

Its a lovely clean property and has everything you would need for your stay. Just a couple of small points, the decking outside could do with a refresh as the paint is peeling.. We found the smart tv difficult to navigate , we have one at home and its a lot easier, luckily my daughter and her partener joined us on the monday ,so they managed to sort it

Our 4th visit to The Anchorage - 2nd this year.

It never disappoints. Its location and facilities makes it home from home and a happy place we always feel sad to leave. It’s clean, well maintained and practical especially with a dog near the smaller beach of the 2 at Beadnell. We’ve already booked again for next year.

This was our 4th visit to this property and standards have not slipped, We are booked up again for Dec and June 27, My only Critique (not a complaint) is that it is starting to look very tired on the outside but inside and location are great.

The accommodation is first class This is the second time I have stayed here and wouldn’t hesitate to book again or to recommend to people It’s the little extras Liquid soaps,dishwasher/washing powder tablets Cling film.

Foil kitchen roll etc. things that you usually have to go out and buy Well thought out

The Anchorage was everything we hoped it would be, and more!

It was super cosy, very clean and comfortable, and very well-equipped. The walk to the beach across the road was a real treat, despite the chilly wind :) The beds were very comfy and warm, and the shower was amazing! Having a Smart TV was a real treat, especially on a rainy afternoon. We had a fab stay and will definitely be back, highly recommend x

Lovely property in a perfect location.

My husband and I stayed with our dog for 3 nights and found it ideal. Great for exploring the local area. Beautiful beach for walks The only issue we had with the property was that the bathroom sink didn’t hold water ( no seal on the plug) Would definitely return

Excellent place to stay.

Fantastically clean with all amenities you would need. Near to many local walks, pubs and places of interest. Only negative (which owners cannot control) is some guests upstairs can be noisy. Great accommodation.

Accommodation was lovely, nice & warm when we arrived with a nice welcome pack of tea & biscuits.

Kitchen was well equipped had everything we needed as we cooked every night. For those items that have been forgotten there is a shop across the road that is open every day until 4pm! Very useful patio doors with access to the garden for the dogs at night. Keep dogs on lead if likely to jump over the small wall. Beach access is directly across the road for lovely morning walks, for Beadnell Bay beach this is still within walking distance, probably about 1/2mile but well worth it as all sand, no rocks. Perfect for ball throwing for the dogs. A perfect location and would definitely stay again.

2a the Anchorage had everything to meet our needs very well equipped spotlessly clean and comfortable.

our son has mobility issues it had everything we could wish for.location was ideal for us to get about .we had a lovely holiday in excellent accommodation with beautiful surrounding places to visit

I would definitely recommend this property, it was clean and comfortable.

It was close to local amenities, and the sea it was just perfect very relaxing it was also central to other places up and down the coast, I would definitely book again .

Another very enjoyable stay at The Anchorage.

It’s a perfect location in Beadnell for beach, excellent pubs/eateries and wonderful shop. The apartment in ground floor so not great for beach views but ideal with a dog and access to the small enclosed grassed area. The facilities are great with everything required - the vacuum needs attention, especially as you may need to hoover up sand during your stay, it’s really hard to know if sand was there when we arrived or we brought it in with us. It’s a wonderful relaxing place to stay, so much so we’ve booked again for next year

On arrival the property was very clean, it is situated right on the Sea front opposite an access path to the beach.

Facilities were very good. Parking was excellent right in front of the apartment door. The back door opens on to a small garden with a quite low wall, so if talking a dog be careful as it might escape! All in all a lovely apartment in a great location. Close to all amenities, and most of all the beach.

The. pillows on the bed were uncomfortable and the TV was hard to navigate. If our daugter had not been with us for a couple of days i doubt we would have had a TV to watch apart from NETFLIX. Apart from that we were very happy with the accomodation and have already booked for next year.

More than one loo roll would have been appreciated.

Had to buy more. Voile curtains in the bedroom would have been an asset. A proper coffee machine.!! Everything else was good quality. Beautiful glassware. Ideally situated for all the beaches. Would love to return. Than you.

Great location & really beautiful accommodation Good facilities & in lovely condition.

Difficult to assess as the property was lovely, very clean and well positioned for walking eating out etc.

However, not being able to access the property until 4 pm was frustrating. The major problem was the noise from the let above. Being woken at 5am every morning as they took the dog out was very annoying. Therefore i would never book another holiday property where we did not have control of what was above. Such a shame as it spoilt what would have been a lovely break.

Absolutely gorgeous property.

One of the best I’ve stayed in for location. Would definitely return. Everything you could need , and central to the village and beaches with access to a lovely shop, which has recently been taken over and really well stocked. A fish and chip van just across the green and near to the bus stop to get to all the other amazing beaches along the coast. We took our dogs and the owners had made it very dog friendly. Highly recommend.

Just perfect, Came in December and loved it so much we came back, Have also already booked this place for next year, Clean and has everything there you would need, great location just across the road from a beach,

The property is well maintained and in an excellent position.

we liked the open plan living area with the all round decor giving a bright and airy feel loved the shower ,tv,Wi-Fi in fact everything about the anchorage.we would definitely recommend and book again

Modern apartment with up to date facilities in an excellent location.

The garden is perfect for a small dog with French door access for ease. Comfortable amenities with a great kitchen for cooking. Lovely renovated bathroom . It was nice to have Sky Stream available (we spent nights in with our baby). I would recommend putting a blackout blind in the main bedroom as the sun rises directly into it and we were all awake at 05:15 each morning. We were disappointed at the cleaning standard on arrival, mostly with the floor in the living area. It still had sand and hair from a previous dog. Then I noticed lots of cobwebs next to the bedside table when looking for the lamp switch, like that area has not been hoovered and dusted in a long time. I would recommend the property to friends and family, despite the minor cleanliness issues and look forward to booking to stay there again.

Excellent accommodation.

Great kitchen and facilities. Lots of parking space out front. Overall everything was perfect for our weekend in Beadnell.

We’ve stayed in numerous holiday cottages and apartments this rates with the best. It was immaculate and had everything one could wish for. The welcome pack was useful as well as the cleaning pack. The fresh flowers were a lovely touch. Thank you for a relaxing few days. Hi Jen

After a bit of a problem when we arrived Northumbria Cottages quickly sorted it, the staff were very helpful both at the premises and the office.

A lesson for all businesses.

Excellent clean apartment, very comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen - lovely bathroom witha great shower and a great location near to the beach.

Would stay here again but - not sure if upstairs is a holiday let or not, for 2 nights it sounded like the kitchen was being refurbished at 1:00 in the morning! Otherwise cannot fault this wonderful place.

We have stayed in quite a few rental cottages and apartments and this one is definitely one of the best.

On arrival it was lovely and warm inside. Spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated and furnished, with a small welcome pack and lots of cleaning stuff for the kitchen. The shower was great, but the bath was too small (I’m 6’2”). Not a complaint just an observation. Overall a really enjoyable stay in a lovely apartment. Highly recommended.

Warm and cosy place with everything that we needed and a stones throw to the beach which was perfect.

The beds were very comfortable and it was lovely to have a welcome pack with tea and coffee for when we arrived.

Lovely flat in a great location, fully recommended.

There were one or two minor maintenance jobs- loose drawer front, table lamp not working, with no obvious means of reporting this so it could be rectified for the next tenant. A minor issue which had very little impact on our stay.

We were absolutely astonished at how good the accommodation was.

The entire cottage/apartment was presented to a very high standard and we were delighted. We fell in love with Beadnell and we will return in the future, our compliments to the owners.

One of the best self catering accommodations we have ever had.

Clean, comfy, everything we needed and we could (just about) see the sea. Jess springer loved that the beach was on the doorstep and so did we. Didn’t want to leave, would VERY highly recommend this apartment. Thank you for a wonderful and needed holiday.

Really enjoyed our stay, property well equipped and comfortable.

Bed in double room amazing; we slept really well. Like others have mentioned, the bathroom would benefit from a hook on the door and shelves/trays in the shower to keep shampoo etc. instead of having to constantly bend down to pick things up. I brought my own shower mat but agree one should be available along with a grab rail. Plug in night lights great. Will definitely recommend and visit again. Thank you.

We had a wonderful time.

The property is in an ideal position for exploring Northumberland. It is well appointed, clean and stylish. The shower base could be slippery for those infirm, however we got round this by putting a towel on the floor of the shower. Also there was nowhere to hang clothes, dressing gown etc while using the bathroom. Small niggles but easily overcome. Once again, we really enjoyed our stay at 2A The Anchorage.

Lovely stay great position only issue was nowhere to hang anything in bathroom and shower tray was very slippy would benefit from some grab handles as older guest's we felt very unsafe getting in and out of shower

Nice ,clean ,tidy flat.

Could do with a few more things in the kitchen.no egg cups or a teapot,some people still do like loose tea not bags,and there wasnt many things that could have been used in the microwave, other than that all was ok, just small things to cater for a range of people. We enjoyed our little break and would recommend this property.
