Beach House

Stayed April 2026.

Fantastic house and very clean and well presented. Bit of a tight squeeze in the kitchen with 4 adults, but well equiped and had everything we need for the week. Only 'complaint' for all of our group - cupboards in the bedrooms - Not much space to hang clothes or draws, we used the draws in the 3rd bedroom and hung clothes on the bedframe. Bit of a pain but only issue we had overall and will definitely be booking this house in future xx

Great house, in an ideal location.

We've been visiting Beadnell for over 10 years and stayed in various properties and this is definitely one we'd come back to again. House has everything you need for a comfortable stay and is well maintained and clean and tidy. The kitchen is well equipped and the welcome pack was a lovely touch. Appreciated that there were things like foil, kitchen roll and detergent which in some places you have to bring yourself. We stayed in the en-suite bedroom and the bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of storage space for clothes and bags. Although it wasn't really warm enough to sit-out in the garden, which catches the afternoon sun, it is a good size, with good quality furniture and BBQ. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby, with dog friendly areas but the beaches are the best and thankfully still dog-friendly throughout the year. We'll be back again next year.

Amazing from the minute we walked through the door, really enjoyed the Beach House, everything we could possibly want when preparing a meal, clean, tidy and comfortable.

Lovely to receive bubbly, biscuits, tea, coffee, condiments and milk. Love Beadnell and will definitely return. Our 2 goldendoodles loved it too. Thank you

A seaside gem!

We’ve just returned from a great week at Beach House. Location is great, with the beach on your doorstep and the village shop, fish & chip van and village pub not too far away on foot. The house was comfortable and very clean, complete with everything you need from games/dvds/sky tv to cleaning products. We didn’t want for anything. The shed contains everything you need for days at the beach including chairs, pull trolley and buckets & spades. A lovely welcome hamper of milk, biscuits and prosecco was most appreciated by us humans and the dog basket including treats, nibbles and bowls is a great bonus for the fur babies. Clear instructions and a very handy information folder left by the owners in the property containing take away menus and attraction leaflets. Great communication from the owner Denise and we’ve already booked for next year. Thank you again Denise and Alan.

Great place everything we needed was there we will be back again.

Lovely location and well appointed cottage.

Some furniture upstairs is broken and needs fixing or replacing. The main bedroom duvet needs replacing. As mentioned by others, bath sheets would be better than bath towels. That said, I’d definitely stay again.

This was our third time here.

It is a great house and has everything we need. Lots of space and good for the dogs. Fantastic week and we will be back again! Thank you.

My only suggestions for improvement would be bath sheets instead of the small towels, coat hooks- the ones on the stairs are lightweight and low down, maybe some on the back of the toilet door to take wet coats?, equally an outside hose point like next door would be amazing to ensure dogs/ people are as clean as possible before entering (I brought my battery charged washer with me to make sure my dog and my wellies were rinsed thoroughly outside first to minimise sand brought in) but otherwise it was a fantastic place and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.

A fantastic town house style.

We had all the items we needed such as towels, pots and pans etc. We had clear instructions on what was around, a great little information pack sharing local businesses, WiFi codes, sky TV. Just a few minutes walk to the beach. Great that there was board games and family DVD’s available in the house. Showers were fantastic.

What an amazing holiday property,there wasn’t anything that the owners hadn’t thought of,it is just far enough away from the beach etc .

I would like to think that we would come again in summer .i think it’s the nicest holiday property we have been to .Thanks again .

We were blown away to see you even had Rummikub in your games chest ( we always pack our travel version) so we played yours instead and bingo! We shall certainly love to return to Beach House. Hi we had a lovely week in a very clean and comfortable house in a fabulous location.

When we arrived the WiFi wasn’t working we called the number provided and the response was quick and the internet provider was contacted and it was determined an engineer was needed. This was then booked for a day and time a few days later and we had to be in the house at this time for the engineer to be let in. Not having the WiFi wasn’t a huge deal in the end but I’m sure the owners wanted it fixed for the next guests arriving the following week. We made it work and juggled our plans round and it worked out ok. However I do feel that owners of Sykes cottages should be made to have someone local ( if they aren’t themselves ) that can be at a house for maintenance work such as this or for emergencies. Holiday makers shouldn’t be made to stay in for engineers or work men. We have had something similar happen before and weren’t expected to stay in. So all in all a great week but just wanted to express our thoughts on our experience.

This is a good house, no issues of any kind

This is the second time we have stayed here.

It is a great house which is well equipped. Really appreciated the fact that all basic supplies like hand wash, dishwasher tablets, cling film, foil and much more was all provided. Lovely welcome package with prosecco and dogs appreciated the treats! Really enjoyed exploring the area at a different time of year. The house was a great base. Will definitely return!

The property was very dusty ,sticky and tacky .

The tables in the garden full of bird mess doesn't look like it was down at all . There was old dog poo in the garden ,and I already told told you no dog was coming with us . Nowhere for toiletries in the ensuite, needs black out blinds in the front bedrooms. The quilt on the bunk bed was far too heavy . If I knew the house was smack bang in the middle of a housing estate I would never have booked it .telling people to leave the property as found does not mean it doesn't need cleaning . Should always clean it after the last holiday tenants, instead I had to clean down where we would be using . They have left a guest book in there and are asking people if they want to come back just ring the owners directly. That sounds like they want to cut the middleman out . I wouldn't recommend this property at all it's over priced , makes me wonder out by 10 am and can't get in till 4pm ,what cleaning are they doing ? Sorry not enjoyable at all .

Beautiful property in a great location.

Felt immediately comfortable in a cosy home. Also never been to Beadnell, and what a lovely coastal village.

We had a wonderful time at The Beach House Beadnell.

It's in a beautiful area on the Northumberland coast with a beautiful sandy bay that stretches for miles with views of Dunstanburgh castle in the distance. The home had everything that you could want in a holiday cottage, fantastic.

Incredibly quiet considering it’s joined both sides. It was also a nice surprise to have a sea view from the front double bedroom. Thank you for the welcome gift too :)

The owners thought of everything. Lovely location close to the beach and easily accessible to the rest of Northumberland.

The welcome pack was gratefully received and the addition of the beach items in the outdoor store. The house was really well equipped and there was nothing else that we needed. Would definitely return in the future

Lovely, cosy house with plenty of room and a really homely feel.

Kitchen has everything you could ever need, beds are comfy and the little garden was great. Perfect location for a quick walk to the beach, shop and pub and set in a quiet street. Highly recommend and hope to book here again for our next stay in beautiful Beadnell

Had a really good time at Beach House.

The immediate area is beautiful, clean and quiet. There are a couple of really nice restaurants /pubs in the vicinity. Beadnell is well placed to reach all the other tourist attractions in Northumberland and the road links are good. Thanks for a great stay. We plan to return soon.

This house was like a home from home.

The location was great. We had a fabulous week walking and chillin. Elvis my dog had a great holiday too. X

Lovely holiday accommodation.

Well equipped and warm. Great location. Could do with some coat hooks in the hallway and agree about curtains or blackout blinds in the bedrooms. The recent storm damage meant the back fence was missing for some of our stay so the dogs were not allowed out the back but the fence was fixed so all back to an enclosed rear garden again. Thanks for the welcome treats.

We were very lucky with the November weather.

Beadnell is one of our favourite places. Beach House was just what we needed. Compliments to the owners and cleaners: the house was very well equipped and spotlessly clean.

5 mins from beach in quiet area. Bonus was no fireworks on 5/11. Only downside was could do with more towels for a weeks stay.

What a pleasure to stay at The Beach Cottage - it was simply perfect.

Everything I needed was to hand it was like home from home. Loved it. In fact, I will let you into a secret but don't tell everyone ;-) I loved the lighting, specially the ones on the landing and hallway. We nipped through to Dunelma at Cramlington on a rainy morning to see if I could drop on the same ones. Pleased I didn't find them as I actually had the identical ones in my lounge back home. Such good taste. Ideal location for beaches and boat rides. Perfect :-)

Lovely cottage very clean and comfortable It would be nice to have had some hooks in the bedrooms maybe but in no way did this spoil a perfect holiday.

I will definitely try to book again soon.

This cottage was perfect for our family of five, really well equipped, super clean and in a fabulous quiet cul de sac, just 5 minutes walk from the beautiful Beadnell Bay.

Very well equipped.

Comfortable and clean. High standard of fittings. Could do with curtains at bedroom windows as the blinds let light in. Garden not very private overlooked on three sides.

House is so well equipped with kitchenware and cleaning products.

Didn’t want for anything. Beautifully clean and Covid safe.

Lots of kitchen equipment. There are plenty of dog friendly places to eat nearby. The Craster Inn is good but gets crowded. It’s house is a 5 min walk to the beach which is good for exercising dogs.

The property was modern and very clean with everything you needed.

Only 5 minutes walk to the amazing beach. Would definitely go back again.

We had a really great week in this property.

Very clean and a great location. Sky tv and ability to sign into Netflix through that was a nice bonus. The kitchen table is a tad snug for 6 people but we managed fine. I think it was very good value for money looking at the cost of other properties that sleep 6, would definitely recommend.

Location was perfect for access to the beach.

Well placed for exploring the area. Plenty of good walks nearby.If you like castles and long sandy beaches this is for you.

Fantastic home from home.

Brilliant location and lovely area to base ourselves while exploring the surrounding villages and castles.

Superb location and a very comfortable house.

Everything you could think of provided including treats for our pooch. We thoroughly enjoyed our week here.

Very good location in regards to visiting the area and surrounding places.

Nearby beach was ideal for the dogs starting the day off with a good run before exploring the area. Beautiful part of the country, friendly people, Although only a convenience store which was expensive there were plenty of supermarkets around, with Seahouses about 5 minutes away for superb fish and chips,very very white fish so extremely fresh. The cottage suited all out needs very clean ,comfy but only had milk and a small box of maltesers as a welcome pack when more provided in first one we stayed in. I would definitely stay there again if visiting the area I like the use of keysafes as it makes getting into the property when you arrive after a long journey very easy.

The Beach House could have done with a hairdryer - there may have been one but we didnt find it!

Other than that it was excellent and lived up to the online details Sykes Cottages were extremely efficient and helpful when making enquiries and booking- will definitely use again.
