“We loved our stay at Donni cottage and its location in Beadnell Bay.”

The ideal dog owners holiday location! The cottage was spacious and comfortable and immaculately clean on arrival. Two large bedrooms one with an en-suite bathroom was again ideal for us. The kitchen was bright and spacious with everything we needed. Easy access to the beach, pubs, and 2 cafes. Getting a coffee from the landings after the first dog walk on the beach- sometimes breakfast too, was a highlight. We also had a few evening meals there which were perfect and the staff and general ambiance was so dog friendly too! I would not hesitate to return or recommend this cottage to friends.

“This was our party of four's second stay at Donni Hall Cottage, and it certainly won't be our last!”

The cottage was as comfortable and as stylish as we remembered, with so many thoughtful touches and extras. The welcome hamper is such a lovely touch! Totally dog friendly and secure, this is a big plus for us and even our dog seemed delighted to be back! Thank you Susan and Norman for providing such a lovely holiday home. “We had a fantastic time at Donni cottage.”

A real home and gem of an accommodation . The interior is stunning and the property is fully equipped with everything you could ever need. Location is outstanding, right next to local pub and excellent restaurant. Lovely walk to the beach through the wonderful village of Beadnell. This would be a five star review other than the sofa in the property are uncomfortable when watching the tv. This would be no problem in the summer but due to the dark nights and time spent in the property it does cause a problem. Overall a wonderful stay at the property.

“Beautiful cottage in a lovely location.”

Was warm and cozy and very clean, with a lovely welcome package which was much appreciated. Good enclosed garden for the dogs and despite being next to a pub it was very quiet. I didn’t find the sofas very comfy, but that’s very much a personal view as I prefer a higher back. I would give it 5 star in everything but the bathrooms, they are getting a little bit jaded around the edges and we didn’t seem to be able to use both at the same time, could do with a bit of tlc to bring them up to the beautiful standard of the rest of the cottage. You have 4 eateries within a 2 minute walk from the cottage, all of which were very nice and all dog friendly, and a 10 minute easy flat walk gets you to the glorious Beadnell Bay with yet another lovely dog friendly cafe.

“We thorougly enjoyed our stay.”

Cottage was spotless and bed really comfy. Slight negatives only 1 tea towel I bought some as we washed cups (as only 4) and glasses instead of using dishwasher and the outside table and chairs need some tlc. We will definity stay again. Ps loved the hamper

“Four of us enjoyed a lovely short break at Donni Cottage.”

The cottage has everything you need for a short, or long stay, and is perfect for pets, having it's own fully enclosed garden. The owners were there when we arrived and were very welcoming. Really handy for The Craster Arms (literally next door - NO noise or 'smells' issues) and Beadnell Towers, a one minute walk away. Both serve really lovely food and are dog friendly. Also really handy for local cafes, restaurants etc and a leisurely 10 minutes walk to the beach. Would highly recommend Donni Cottage and will definitely be back. Thank you Susan and Norman for a lovely stay!

The cottage is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Very comfortable and cozy! The property is in a prime location for exploring the wonderful Northumberland coastline and countryside, and is adjacent to the Craster Arms, a superb pub which serves great food: we’d recommend their Sunday lunches! There’s also the Beadnell Towers Hotel close by which also serves excellent food. Susan and Norman were very helpful and we’d like to thank them for the lovely welcome pack and for responding so promptly to a couple of our questions.

“Absolutely lovely property.”

Has 2 wonderful gardens which allowed us to make the most of the weather and were perfect for our 2 dogs. Really good location next to the Craster Arms which does nice food and brilliant ice cream sundaes!! The kitchen is well equipped and beds comfortable. There’s parking for 2 cars and plenty of storage space in the bedrooms. The location is great - either to pop over the road for a drink or dinner, or to go off exploring in the local area. Despite being next door, there’s no noise from the pub. We had a brilliant week at the cottage!

A beautiful, spacious and very well equipped cottage. Appreciated the secure parking and garden for our dog. Brilliant location only 15 minute walk to the bay with a great dog-friendly pub next door for dinner and a few options for lunch/ coffees. Great communication with owners who are contactable if required but who otherwise let you enjoy your stay. Would certainly book again.

Very clean with a lovely welcome basket. The only negative is the beds were a little uncomfortable, so would benefit from a mattress toppers. Not really a negative but the toaster kept tripping the fuse because it must be faulty. But we had a lovely stay. It’s ideally located in a beautiful part of Northumberland. We will definitely visit again.

“This is a beautiful cottage in the centre of a small village.”

It's been refurbished to a high standard and is modern but retaining lovely original features. It's very homely and on the doorstep to the pubs and coffee shops and the amazing beach. Beadnell is very central for exploring Northumberland and is within easy access of Alnwick, Berwick and Bamburgh. There are lots of places to visit and it was the perfect spot to get around from. I've got no hesitation in recommending Donni Hall Cottage and would love to return again at some point.

BEADNELL

Seahouses 1.5 miles; Bamburgh 5 miles.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.
