Plus points.

Great location. Quite at night. Safe for children. Access ok unless driving a sports car. Minus points. No welcome pack. Dirty & cracked pottery & corner cupboard very damp & smelly. No spare loo rolls or dishwasher tabs. Which I suspect was why plates & bowls were not clean. No under sheets on childrens beds! Hot water ran out by night. With better checking it could be ok.

Gorgeous house, lovely owner and all located within a couple of minutes of a stunning beach.

The house has everything you could possibly need for a lovely relaxing holiday. The front garden has a great choice of furniture for you to make the most of the sun trap. The back garden is a lovely grassed area with the added benefit of being able to park right out side the house. The unexpected bonus was being able to watch the wild rabbits frolicking. We had a lovely time with our young granddaughter and cannot wait to come back.

The property is beautiful inside and out, with such a short walk to the beach, scenery all round is stunning, and just a short drive to neighbouring villages and towns also, can go out for walks day or night, such a peaceful, quiet area, and the open fire inside the property is the cherry on top of the cake, could ask for more, nice restaurants and takeaways close at hand also.

This is our 3rd time staying at Dune View.

It is a lovely property, well equipped with everything you could need for your holiday. It is well located in the lovely village of Beadnell. We love it up there and will definitely be returning again next year. Heather, the owner is easy to get in touch with and is very helpful.

The location is absolutely perfect for accessing the beach in just a few minutes. Parking outside is great, and the cottage was well equipped. The front garden is a great sun trap and can imagine this is wonderful in the summer months.

Third time here.

Wonderful location in between the beach and harbour. Just me and my wife this time. Plenty of parking and a real sun trap garden at the front with plenty of furniture. Love the open fire. A couple of niggles one of which I've reported to the owner but nothing to spoil our stay. We love Beadnell and the area and will probably return again next year

My only letdown, hence four stars, was that access is to the rear via what at best could be called a farm track.

An unmade, lumpy, grass disguised track that caused bumping of my car on the surface - not good on an EV.everything elseis excellent. A lovely cottage and very well located.

Positives: The holiday property was well equipped and very comfortable.

The sofas and bed were really comfy. The garden was well maintained. Parking was ample. Location was perfect, near the beach, harbour and ebbas neuk. We had a fantastic stay in Dune view and would book to stay here again. Negatives: The wifi was quite slow and the TVs need replacing in the living room and main bedroom as both were not working correctly or working excessively slowly (the remote doesnt fully work for the main tv room/slow the point of frustration and the smart tv aspect in the bedroom doesn't work properly). The kitchen could do with thorough deep clean. We had to wash all the pots we got out the cupboard before use as they were dirty, maybe the previous people had dishwashed them but they weren't properly clean, unsure. The fridge had a build up of a brownish grime on the outside which would be wasily cleaned up. We had very noisy neighbours which was annoying at times but we appreciate there is nothing you can do about that!

Accommodation as described and in a beautiful part of the country. cannot think of any adverse comment that I or the people who stayed can make.

the only downside being the heating which we found cold upstairs. Could be heating controlled by owners meads adjusting for the time of year. Having an open fire is really good cosy

We had a lovely holiday and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dune View.

The house was very comfortable with everything we needed. It is situated in a nice quiet area with no passing traffic. It is also set in a very good location both for the beach and days out to neighboring villages/towns. I cant pick any faults whatsoever and would definitely stay again

Lovely cottage.

Had everything we needed we cooked four times and found what we needed no problem. The shower is amazing so powerful and it’s huge. Beds comfy plenty of storage for clothes. Perfect Wi-Fi. Would definitely stay again.

This was our second time at Dune view.

Its had a new bathroom and now has a lovely walk in shower with another separate toilet with two large heated towel rails which means you dont keep having to use new ones. The location is superb. Minutes from the beach and harbour with fantastic sunrises and sunsets, loads of parking space, large sun deck with a graden at the front. We loved the wildlife, swifts in the eaves and a wood pigeon and chicks in the hedge. Well stocked kitchen , washer and dishwasher, comfy lounge and beds. The lounge has individual radiators and an open fire which we used as the first few nights were a bit chilly. A couple of niggles. Only one door key which could be an issue if it's two families and not enough loo roll for the week. Main bath sheets could be bigger. Im a 38 inch waist and they just fit around me However, these were minor things. We would return here again. Overall a lovely place, we love Beadnell and the area and we would return again.

Very comfortable, well- equipped cottage in a fantastic location for popping over to the beach.

We really appreciated the fantastic shower and comfy beds. A wonderful home to return to after a day walking or exploring castles etc. Would highly recommend to anybody wanting to explore the area- the best holiday accommodation we've stayed in. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

We stayed at Dune View Beadnell at the end of May and found it clean comfortable and very well equipped.

The location was perfect... a very short walk to the beach. We especially liked the decking at the front... my granddaughter enjoyed playing there in safety. Would certainly recommend this holiday home.

This is a lovely property; highly recommended.

Would be good to warn of the pot holes in the road if your sat nav sends you to the front of the property.

The gravelled road is very dicey even in summer .

2nd time staying at Dune View, it's a fabulous property in the lovely seaside village of Beadnell.

The property is well kept, well equipped and a very comfortable place to stay. Beadnell itself is very picturesque and the sandy beach is minutes away from the property and as its a bay it is safe for families with small children. Highly recommended it and the owner Heather is very helpful. We shall be staying at Dune View again for sure.

We had a fantastic holiday in Dune View, Beadnell, the owner had provided everything you could possibly want or need, the house was lovely and clean and the location was superb, I would recommend this property to my friends.

We stayed in this three bed house in April 2023.

It was well maintained, everything we needed and in advance of arriving we had direct contact from the owner to sort out the keys. The location is perfect for the beach and a short walk to the village shop, pubs and restaurants. The open fire was a great feature.

Dune View is a lovely place to stay.

It's very well-equipped and comfortable, and is perfectly placed to explore beautiful Northumberland. We lived being so close to the sea, and cosying up in front of the fire in the evening. Great communication from Heather, who was very friendly and helpful. We would very happily stay again :-D

A tastefully furnished property in an excellent location.

Settees were comfortable, as were the beds, and we appreciated the brand new bathroom and additional toilet. The lounge catches the sun for much of the day. and after a chilly start the electric radiators kept us warm once we got the hang of them. The open fire made the evenings really cosy. It was great to be able to drive right up to the back door. We loved being just a 3 minute stroll from one of the best beaches along the coast, and caught a couple of beautiful sunsets. It is a really good centre for exploring a little further afield, with plenty of longer walks close by. On a wet day we caught a convenient train from Alnmouth to Edinburgh, just an hour away. Thank you Heather for a lovely holiday, and for all your help and advice. .

Comfortable clean and well equipped property new bathroom and separate extra toilet a plus too Within a very short stroll to coast, Beadnell harbour and beach lovely to hear the sea at night.

Fantastic location, so close to Beadnell beach, which is a perfect beach for early morning walks and evening sunsets.

The accommodation is both clean and comfortable and was recently improved with a modern shower room and second toilet, which makes the property definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We've stayed at a number of properties in Beadnell over the past decade but this was by far the best.

Very comfortable house.

In good condition and everything working. Just a few minutes walk from the beach. Enough crockery and cooking stuff for ten people, let alone five. But of course you need lots for a dishwasher. Easy parking at the back. You can park right outside the door.

Dune view was more like home from home than a holiday let.

There was plenty of cutlery and crockery for the dishwasher, we also liked all the pictures around the house which made it homely, also plenty of fuel for the open fire, well done Heather. Hopefully we will return one day.

I think we found a gem!

Beautiful location and the house was only 2 minutes from a beautiful white sandy beach. The house had everything we needed for our holiday and was clean and tidy when we arrived. We will definitely be back to explore more of beautiful Northumberland.

Dune View is a fabulous holiday let.

We had an amazing week at Dune view , it is a lovely cottage , so near to the beach , which is an amazing beach !

The garden is fantastic , the sheltered decked area is fab , and we really enjoyed toasting marshmallows on the open fire , the children had never seen an open fire so really was fun ! Everything just as you would hope for in the cottage , would love to come back soon! The beach , the play park snd the ‘pop up ‘ beach restaurant within 3 mins walk amazing ! Thank you so very much Heather ! We will be back !

We spent a week in dune view and we will def be returning very cosy, the kitchen was a lot smaller than appeared on the pictures but was not a problem there was everything needed it was very clean and the location was absolutly perfect, communication with the owner prior to arriving was great the lovely lady gave us lots of tips on where to eat and one place we loved was the salt water Cafe Overall FANTASTIC

The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped.

It was a little cold towards the end of our holiday but the heating in the cottage kept it nice and cosy. Though the cottage is a bit overlooked by other properties it is well located in the village, being about 2 minutes walk from the beach and the harbour. The beaches here are fabulous and you can walk along them from village to village. In fact, we barely went inland all week as the beach walking was so good! We also visited Lindisfarne (30 minute drive), Bamburgh Castle (walked along beach from Seashouses), Dunsborough castle (walked along beach from Beadnell) and Alnwick (15 min drive). There are two great eating places in Beadnell (Crastor arms and Beadnell Towers). Overall a great holiday

We loved Dune View and we felt very much at home in this comfortable, relaxing atmosphere.

Being so close to the harbour and beach we enjoyed our walks on the sands. How lucky we were with the weather !

We had a wonderful week at Dunne View.

The house is a 'home from home', very comfortable.

This was a brilliant venue for a self catering holiday on the Northumbrian coast.

Situated in the village of Beadnall, it was perfectly located to explore a beautiful stretch of coastline from Blyth to the Scottish borders. The house is one of four properties in a block on The Wamses, very near to the harbour and the beach. The towns of Alnwick and Berwick are close by as is the tranquil Lindisfarne (Holy Island). The latter is only accessible by causeway when the tide is low. The accommodation is very well appointed and has modern furniture and equipment. The owner was very helpful and contacted us as promised forty eight hours before we arrived to give essential information re access etc. Thanks to her for facilitating a wonderful, memorable holiday with my wife and her parents.

We have stayed at Dune View several times now and would recommend it to anyone.

The cottage was really lovely and location great.

Unfortunately the internet was incredibly slow and unreliable but if you have a BT account then you can login to a FON hotspot that is accessible in the property. Other than that the place was great and we'd recommend.

Lovely cottage ideal location the children & I had a great time at the beach which is a few minutes walk away.

We explored the area and visited places of interest such as Cragside, Dunstanburgh Castle & took a boat trip to Holy Island and Farne Islands. We have already booked for the half term break in October. Everything we needed for a super break away.

The open fire was really welcome with the cold weather that we had during our stay but we particularly liked the access to the wonderful Northumbrian coastline,and most days were sunny if cold. Just one small thing - an oven glove would be useful for the benefit of future guests.

have visited the Northumberland coast many times over the years and for location, cleanliness and peace and quiet this was one of the most enjoyable times

The cottage was really nice and in a terrific location .

Whilst the information given beforehand meant we were aware, the one drawback it has is you have to put £1 coins in a meter to generate electricity. In my opinion this is a somewhat out of date way of doing things. We have holidayed in about 20 cottages and caravans in the UK, and never before have we had to feed coins into meters. I should stress though this didn’t spoil the holiday or our time spent in the cottage.

The house is in a great position to the beach and all the other easy to reach places in Northumberland.

The house was big and bright inside with everything needed for a great holiday.

We love Beadnell and booking with Sykes, but Dune View has really exceeded even our expectations.

Located so near to a great beach, the layout of the cottage is really comfortable. The property is very well-equipped and beds really comfy, dining area practical and sofas easy to sit and relax in. We have always had good experiences with Sykes but this property was truly a great find. With two young kids it was important they felt at home, and the enclosed garden and outdoor area was perfect. I am impressed at the simplicity of the process and how easy holidaying with Sykes really is!

This cottage was excellent - very well equipped, clean and comfortable.

A very good base from which to explore the surrounding area. The pictures of the cottage on your website do give the impression that the cottage overlooks the sea - this is not the case although the sea is literally strides away. This is not a complaint and does not detract in any way the experience we had staying here. The cottage was spot on - and we hope to visit again. We had occasion to ring the owner - who again was extremely helpful and pleasant. I would definitely recommend this cottage to friends and family.

Everything was as we had expected it to be.

Accommodation was very good and cleanliness on arrival was excellent. Parking area and being so close to the beach were wonderful. We had a great week and would definitely recommend this property.
