Seahorse Cottage

Overall a great property in a quiet spot.

It was lovely to have the horse field behind the garden which gave a good sense of space. Dunstanburgh Castle can be glimpsed from the main bedroom. The nearby beaches are fantastic. We found the fridge a little difficult to use with the bottom shelf also being the lid of the salad drawer, which reduced the usable space in the fridge. Plus only freezer space is in the top of the fridge. A couple of stools at the breakfast bar would be a helpful addition. We enjoyed the nearby dog friendly Courtyard cafe where there was good service and the prices were sensible.

Great location close to beaches, playground (for the childen), shops, pubs, cafes, and bus stop.

Daisy our Goldie appreciated the garden. Perfectly adequate for 2 adults + 2 children but maybe not for 4 adults. (Can't recall whether it says that on the listing - it probably does). On-drive parking which is very convenient Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The conservatory is great, particularly when its a bit drizzly outside. Kitchen well appointed and furnished. A metal colander for draining pasta may be useful. (Don't like plastic for that job and it's a bit small anyway). A comments book would be helpful to pass on experiences to future guests. We've been coming to Beadnell for 15 years so feel we know the region (and its watering holes quite well!) - but when we were visiting in the early years we found the comments most useful. The property we had rented for 10+ years was not as good as this and the price has risen extraordinarily over the past two years. The cottage this year was priced competitively and was a major factor in our switching. In short, many positives and no negatives to be concerned about.

This is a great holiday home, it has everything you want and is comfortable, clean and easy -it felt welcoming from the moment we walked in, and we really enjoyed our stay here.

There are all the things you need, the bed is comfortable, the shower powerful, the kitchen equipped with all you need and the private garden perfect for us and the dog. Little things like the hose outside the front make it easy to keep everyone sand free before coming in, and the parking on the drive a real bonus. We enjoyed the local area and both pubs in walking distance, and all the dog friendly beaches around were brilliant. We would recommend this to anyone who wanted to stay in the area.

We had a great 2 night stay in Seahorse Cottage, and our dog Ruby enjoyed her stay too.

A short walk to the pubs and also the beach. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. We hope to return.

We liked how close to the beach it was . It had everything we needed in the kitchen , it would have been good to have a parasol outside for some shade. We will definitely be booking up again

Very comfortable living spaces and good size garden for the dog.

Close to the beach, shop, pub and cafe. Lovely unobstructed view at the back. Would recommend and would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay - the location is very convenient for beaches and local cafes/restaurants.

Lovely and quiet, clean and well equipped. We were surprised however not to have a freezer - just a small freezer compartment in a standard sized fridge - we struggled to store our frozen food items - we feel this should be highlighted on the property description to avoid people taking frozen food and potential waste. The back garden is enclosed but it is difficult to close the gate once in the garden as there is no handle or catch on the garden side. It would be useful to have catches on the outer conservatory doors to hold them open when it’s windy, which it often is. The duvet was 13.5 tog - a lighter summer weight one would have been appreciated in the hot weather we are experiencing.

We had a great stay at Seahorse Cottage, house was perfect for our needs, good garden for our dog, very comfortable and nicely furnished.

Property was clean and had a well stocked kitchen. Good location for beach, pubs, restaurants and corner shop. This is our 10th visit to Beadnell so we know the area well and just love coming to Northumberland. Would recommend this house to friends.

Lovely compact modern cottage with secure garden for dog. Open views. On-site parking. Easy 15 minutes walk to beach. Would have rebooked but the £500+ price hike was totally unrealistic.

Garden really handy & safe for the dog. Would love to stay again but just looked at price for same week next year, increase of over 50% on what we've just paid so some serious saving to do.

Had a lovely stay at Seahorse cottage.

The cottage is well equipped and tastefully decorated throughout. It was nice to have an enclosed rear garden for the dog to safely pop in and out. Situated in a quiet residential area close to local pubs and cafes. Would definitely book again.

Nice place clean and comfortable enough room For 2 adults and 2 small dogs garden enclosed but alot smaller than in the picture bed very comfortable kichen very good shower room small but nice just a few things I feel and what is in all other cottages we have stopped in long handled sweeping brush for the laminate flooring hand gel downstairs air freshener and more toilet rolls only small things but not things I would bring with me would reccomend

The house was lovely,clean throughout,comfortable,well thought out kitchen and crockery and utilities.

Bedroom was clean and comfortable. Conservatory clean but a couple of blown windows need attention. Oven in kitchen needs a clean, but overall the property is excellent and we had a nice holiday.

Seahorse in Beadnell was really lovely.

The property was really clean, well equipped with lots of thoughtful touches and well laid out. The garden was great for the dogs, secure with open field behind giving it a much larger feel. The property is located in the center of the village making it easy to get to the beach, village shop and places to eat out. We went to the Craster arms and Salt Water cafe, both were dog friendly and enjoyable, although the Craster arms could get busy in the evening but pre booking a table was easy and straightforward. Overall we would be happy to visit Seahorse again.

This was absolutely perfect for our needs and so peaceful (partially because both neighbouring houses were vacant).

Only thing I would suggest is to advise what is available up front as we had a great package downstairs in terms of dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid and tea and coffee which was a lovely touch however, we didn’t bring hand-wash and this was needed. Instructions say to put the bin out on Friday but really needed to say Thursday evening as we missed the collection due to the refuse collectors arriving at 7.20am. As an additional touch, it would be nice to have recommendations for beaches, places to visit, places to eat in the local area. Also, would be good to have a blind on the window on the main door for extra privacy. We wanted to plug a Nintendo Switch in to the TV but couldn’t because of the TV being close to the the wall. Otherwise, perfect!

Fantastic location near to the beach as listed.

Our dogs loved their morning walks on the beach. The enclosed garden was great for our dogs first thing in the morning and it was lovely to hear the sea when standing out with them. We visited both pubs in Beadnell Village and enjoyed both visits. We also visited the village shop which sold lovely cakes and scones. The house had everything we needed and we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Nice warm comfortable cottage, recently refitted with everything we needed.

Ideal for two adults and two dogs (nice secure garden to rear). We would recommend the cottage and will be happy to return.

Lovely house right by the beach and local pub and village shop.

We went in November which was very cold and quiet, many of the houses are rented out for tourists. I'd recommend taking blankets if you go in the winter as I found the house didn't get toasty (we are mad that we take our holidays in the winter), but there are plenty of radiators and a comfy bed. Our dog loved the big garden and loved the beach nearby, it's great for your dog!

Spotless and well equipped. Archie the Bullmastiff loved the garden , and watching the horse over the wall. Plenty of local walking and (poo) bins . Craster Arms and The Landing in the village, dog friendly and serves food.

Seahorse is a lovely cottage and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

The accommodation is well thought out well provisioned, even to having bowls available for our little dog. Beadnell is a beautiful area, very dog friendly and in a good position for exploring further afield.

Lovely comfy cottage in a nice quiet area.

It was very near to a beach for taking the dog. Good base for sightseeing. Well equipped kitchen. The only thing I would have liked to have seen would have been a toilet brush in the bathroom and maybe a blade to wipe down the shower after being used.

The lawned garden overlooking an open field with two horses was a great place to relax.

Seahorse Cottage was a lovely home from home, with absolutely everything needed for a very pleasant comfortable stay.

Lovely furnishings and a very well equipped kitchen. The garden was great for the dog, totally enclosed and well kept, looking onto a field with horses in it. We enjoyed our stay at Seahorse Cottage and would certainly return again and recommend it to others looking to stay in Beadnell.

The property was very clean, furniture and fittings were new and comfortable and all necessary equipment was provided.

In addition, the property was located close to the village shop, which provided essentials, and a short distance by car to the fantastic Beadnell Bay. I and my Wocker Cocker, Darcy, had a great week exploring the local facilities in the glorious sunshine. However, I must mention the complete absence of any local information provided by the owner relating to essential details, ie., nearest Vets, GP, local facilities, waste disposal and bin collections, etc., and a book for customer comments. Nevertheless, as stated above, we had a great holiday and will be back!

A well presented cosy cottage with everything you need for a relaxing break near coast and country.

The property is well equipped, spotlessly clean, with good quality furnishings. Was ideal size for two adults and small dog! Garden well maintained with comfortable garden furniture to sit out and relax. Within walking distance to beach, shop and pubs, and only a short drive to seahouses and Bamburgh. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely clean house, we had a fantastic stay.

The secure garden was great for the dog, it was also nice to have the doors to the conservatory open and sit out. The garden hose was very handy for washing the salt off the dog after a swim! The street was very peaceful and the house is only a short walk from huge sandy beaches, pubs, cafes and a small village shop (which has everything you need for a short stay). Takeaway pizza from the sea front was delicious! Couldn’t fault it, I would love to stay again.
