    “Swale cottage is modern and very comfortable.”

    There is everything you could wish for, like being home from home. Secure garden, which is great for the pooches in your life. Lots of dog friendly places to visit and also the local pub is dog friendly and does lovely meals. Easy to get to the coast really enjoyed our stay. Thank you also for the welcome hamper.

The village is also home to a good selection of amenities including a shop, two pubs to choose from and a café where you can enjoy a delicious lunch before exploring the beauty of the Northumberland Heritage Coastline, with plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling, with plenty of scenic splendour to soak up along the way, stretching over 40 miles from Amble to the Scottish border just past Berwick upon Tweed, there's so much natural beauty to explore at any time of the year. This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.
