Tree Corner

Tree Corner is a very spacious extended semi detached property well located in Beadnell.

Beadnell bay beach is a fairly short walk away down a public footpath and the rocky coastal beach heading toward Seahouses is literally at the bottom of the street. I didn’t realise the property was attached when I booked but there were holiday makers in the smaller property adjoining but we didn’t get any noise. The rear of the property is the nicest outside aspect by far. It doesn‘I look like much when you pull up from the street, the shared driveway could really do with a new surface but it seems all the neighbouring houses have been bought up as holiday homes and rentals. The property itself you can tell has had a large extension to create the lounge, kitchen/diner area and it really benefits from that. It has everything you need and can easily accommodate a couple of small families or those with elderly relatives. The downstairs bedroom is a bonus for those who can’t get up stairs as easily. The garden is a good size and the dogs really enjoyed it. Beadnell is a nice, quiet place, there’s not really much to it, but there are some nice places to eat and Seahouses is literally a couple of miles up the coast, which is busier and has everything you need. It’s a good base to get around the area. I’d have given a higher mark but there were a few niggles for me. The property I think is fairly modern and would have been lovely once renovated, but you can tell it’s a rental as it’s getting quite worn and has seen better days. The downstairs and upstairs bathroom sinks don’t hold water, they need new rubbers on the plugs. Although it was generally quite clean, there were noticeable cobwebs in the en-suite and the backsplash behind the hob had been wiped over with a dirty cloth. There were quite a number of bits of dogs mess in the garden, probably from the previous occupants, but it was hard to spot anything as the grass was fairly long. The large bin was over 3/4 full with rubbish. You are asked to leave it out on Tuesday night but I can’t imagine it had been put out for more than a couple of weeks. Toilet paper was left for us but not much and it was very poor quality. The TV takes some time to figure out how to use. The bedding didn’t really fit the beds properly. Lastly, the gates are great for keeping pets in, but a pain every time you need to get cars in and out. Unless you park on the street there’s nowhere else to park though, as there’s no room at the front of the house without causing an issue for neighbours. We enjoyed our stay and noticed there are many happy repeat customers looking at the guest book and I can understand why. Not really sure I would return to Beadnell given how many other nice places there are along that coast, but if I did, having seen how many other lovely holiday homes that are there, I’d probably pick a different one.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tree Corner.

The cottage was clean, light and airy and very well equipped. Not far from the beach, pub and local shop. We would like to come back again.

A very pleasant rental that’s great because it’s so near to two lovely beaches.

The garden is well enclosed so dogs are very safe. Walkable distance to the village that has two excellent hotels that provide food and a great cafe with outdoor seating.

Tree Corner, proved to be an excellent property for two couples to enjoy the Beadnall area.

The kitchen area was very well equipped with good quality crockery and pans. All bedrooms were clean and comfortable. Minor observations were that the general info frame on the wall re WiFi and bin collection were incorrect and several connectors on the rear of the TV were "out" so we did have to reconnect the TV hub and sort the correct method of using the remotes. However we would have no concerns with rebooking this property.

Perfect in every aspect!

Especially good for capacity number of people of different families - i.e. extended family members or friends, with the accommodation having 4 bedroom and 3 bathrooms, which has suited us perfectly over the past 12 years that we've been coming to Tree Corner, as an annual meeting place for our widespread family and friends! It was our first year back this year, after a three year break due to personal circumstances, which made us realise how perfect it is for us, and noted a few mainly aesthetic changes and upgrades/replacements to equipment, etc, and the beautifully done new slabbed/paved patio to the rear, replacing the original decking - much more practical and cleaner looking - showing the owner's care and attention to detail. We're already looking at dates for next year, as has proved in previous years, with the popularity of the place, you need to book early!!

We had a lovely stay at this cottage with our friends and family, and it worked perfectly for a group getaway.

The house was really comfortable, clean and well equipped with everything we needed for the weekend. It was great to find somewhere that was genuinely dog friendly too. Our dog settled in straight away and there was plenty of space nearby for nice walks, which made the stay even more relaxing. The cottage had a really welcoming feel and was a great base for spending time together, whether that was cooking, chatting or just unwinding. It’s always nice when somewhere looks just as good in real life as it does in the photos, and this definitely did. We would happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay with family, friends and their dog.

We stayed here as a family of four adults and two dogs at the end of December into New Year for a week and we cannot fault this house at all.

It is very clean, spacious and the owner has thought of every utensil in the kitchen they could think of ! The beds are so comfy , the bedrooms a great size and lots of bathrooms, and it was so warm which was great as we have had really cold weather. The downstairs shower room we used as storage for our muddy walking boots which was ideal to keep the rest of the house clean. Off road parking for two cars which was ideal. Lovely garden for the dogs to stretch their legs and then a ten minute walk to either Seahouses Beach or Beadnell beach to give them a lovely long walk. The location is perfect. Easy to get to the beaches, supermarket (Morrisons at Anwick approx 8 miles or Co-op at Seahouses approx 1.5 mile) also a little village shop which is well stocked at reasonable prices. There are two pubs -Craster Arms and Beadnell Towers Hotel within 5 mins walk both lovely. Would also recommend the Old Buoy Inn at Seahouses if you fancy a walk and also our favourite The Blink Bonney at Christon Bank (Cash only) . Sadly we were too late to book this house again for the same time next year as it is already booked. So book early !!

Tree Corner is just lovely.

The house was lovely and clean. The bed was so comfy and the garden was great for the dogs. Would have booked again but it’s already booked for our dates next year. Only thing missing for us was a coffee machine but plenty of coffee spots around.

The accommodation was everything it offered.

Comfy bedrooms and excellent showers. Well equipped with a fully enclosed garden for 2 lively collies.

Great holiday cottage.

This property is very well furnished.

The beds were very comfortable with very clean bedding. I have been renting holiday cottages foe some years and can say this one was at the top end of the scale. Very good.

lovely clean house in a quiet corner of a residential estate.

Close to the Craster Arms which is a highly recommended, very dog friendly pub. short walk to the beautiful beadnell bay which is our favourite place in northumberland. the landing...beach bar does excellent breakfast/ brunch/lunch and dinner in lovely surroundings. the house was spacious and well equipped. we had a couple of minor issues...the TV remote downstairs wouldn't turn the TV off so had to unplug and there was no hairdryer which was mildly annoying! we would have liked recycling facilities at the property also. however, none of this detracted from a lovely holiday in a great place. would highly recommend

We had a fantastic holiday and loved this property.

It was spotlessly clean and had lots of room/great facilities. The enclosed garden was perfect for children and very private. We will definitely book again and would highlight recommend. Beadnell is a lovely village and the village shop was handy. The property was only a 5 minute walk from the beach which we loved. 10/10.

We have stayed at Tree Corner a number of times now and we are never disappointed.

House is set in a quiet corner but only 5 mins walk from the beach. House is well maintained and furniture and furnishings of a great standard.

Just returned from another stay in Beadnell.

Beadnell is the perfect base for exploring the Northumberland coastline, has a great beach and some lovely places to eat (we like The Landing and The Craster Arms). This was our first stay at Tree Corner and wouldn't hesitate to stay again. On arrival there had been a mix up with Sykes/ Northumberland Coast & Country Cottages having not sent cleaners, so we arrived after a long journey to find previous occupants dirty laundry, no clean bedding or towels and property not cleaned, however we managed to contact Lorna the owner who couldn't have been more apologetic - right away she arranged for this to be sorted whilst we went out for tea and a walk on the beach and everything was sorted by the time we returned. Northumberland Coast & Country Cottages also came round the following day with a hamper as way of apology. We always maintain that our lasting impression is how an issue is dealt with rather than the issue itself and we couldn't fault either Lorna or NC&CC in this respect. Tree Corner itself is spacious, cosy, well equipped, and has plenty of bathrooms. It is in a great location, has a secure garden which was perfect for our dog and off road parking also a bonus. Thank you for a fabulous stay!

This is a decent house, had a good holiday,

Brilliant from start to finish , home was beautiful, area even more so , everything you need was available, downside one chair was broken outside , but everything else was just bloody brilliant would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting quiet and relaxing this is the place , everything close to hand beach shops pubs and buses if needed , left there so relaxed and wanting to move there

The property was excellent as usual, we had an issue with the main lounge tv.

Contacted the owner and she an engineer out to sort it within hours. So all good promptly actioned. This was our ninth year staying here, so I think that speaks for itself. Just about to book again for next year. The house is spacious comfortable clean well equipped, our 2 dogs love the large secure garden. I would certainly recommend.

Safe and secure garden, with plenty of parking. Ideal for large families and would be great if you have someone who can't get up stairs, having a downstairs bedroom and wet room.

It is such a lovely place to stay, very clean and comfortable. We love the secure garden for our dog and the beach is only a short walk away. Looking forward to our next trip.

Our dogs loved the house especially the fenced in garden. The house was super clean and comfortable and located a short walk from Beadnell Beach and cafe. We have booked it straight away to come again soon..one of the best we have stayed in .

What a delightful house!

Everything you could need (and more!) is provided. We were able to cook a full Christmas dinner with ease and three generations plus two dogs enjoyed our time at Tree Corner. Despite the stormy weather we were able to have a cosy, family break due to the excellent facilities within the property. We had to contact the owner during our stay and Lorna was very quick to respond and resolve the issue. Would highly recommend!

The very spacious property was excellent as always.

Our 8th visit and I’m sure we will be back again next year. The house has everything you could possibly need. A large totally secure garden ideal for our 2 dogs. And less than 5 mins walk to the beach, village shop, 2 pubs and 2 cafes. I would certainly recommend this property to people of all ages. The owner is only a phone call away and very helpful indeed.

This was our second stay.

We find tree corner excellent for a three generation stay: enough accommodation, plenty of bathrooms, a grassy garden for the children ( 6 and 1 1/2) to play in. Beautiful beach and rock pools, shop, pub, cafe, restaurant all within easy walking distance. For perfection… the vacuum cleaner gave off a terrible stink of dog, such as to be unusable. However we found a brush for day to day sand and breakfast cereal cleaning up. The owner would not have been aware. I’m sure that we will be back. We had a great holiday. Tree Corner is a lovely place to stay.

Very well furnished and comfortable. We enjoyed lovely sunny afternoons in the garden which was very safe for our dog. Would definitely recommend.

We’ve stayed at Tree Corner in Beadnell almost every year for the last 10 years.

It really is a home from home for us. This year we noticed the cleaning wasn’t as good as previous years. Lots of dust about, particularly around the toilet and shower areas. However Lorna , the owner is brilliant. She responded very quickly to our complaints and immediately had new shower heads installed and would have sent a cleaner in, but we’d already cleaned behind the loos etc. The beds are very comfy, and the house is well set out for comfort. We noticed new crockery, new lamps in the bedrooms etc which was nice. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will certainly be back.

Incorrect information on bin collection days and no recycling.

Maintenance required on banister, there was a lot of movement. Downstairs toilet door stiff. Mould around shower tray in upstairs bathroom. Blind in downstairs toilet. Would not stay down.

We had an excellent stay at tree corner.

The only fault was the duvet in the master bedroom. When I removed the cover on our leaving day the duvet was really dirty , full of stains. I really do wish I had checked . I would not have slept under that.

Lovely spacious house with plenty of room for six people.

Very clean and tidy and a good secure enclosed area at the back for dogs and/or young children. Very quiet location. Only a few minutes walk from Beadnell Bay beach and a short drive to Seahouses / Bamburgh. Highly recommended.

Tree Corner was a fantastic base for our holiday.

It is very spacious, well-equipped, beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. The enclosed garden was great for our children. The location is also excellent: less than five minutes to the nearest beach (in Beadnell you're spoilt for choice!) and also perfect for exploring all the sights on this lovely coastline. We hope to return!

It is very well furnished and equipped, has a good garden for children to play in and is a few minutes walk from a beautiful sandy beach, a shop and a pub. And it has 3 bathrooms. And nice quiet cycling routes. Perfect for our 3 generation holiday.
