White Rock Cottage

The kitchen could do with looking at, the fridge is out of position.

Could do with some new oven trays. Also needs a decent whisk not the minute one that is there. The bed was very uncomfortable. On the plus side the location was perfect, fantastic veiws over the sea and coast.

Le cottage est très joli, assez spacieux, très bien agencé et très bien équipé.

Superbe vue mer. Seul bémol, l'immeuble voisin et son parking sont très près mais ce n'est pas vraiment gênant. Par ailleurs l'endroit est très agréable, assez sauvage et pas trop fréquenté avec une très belle plage à 2 minutes à pied.

Another lovely stay at White Rock.

Comfortable and welcoming accommodation along with fabulous views from the outside seating area, makes this property extra special.

Extremely nice property, very comfortable but I’m going to be very picky and say it needs some hangers in the bathroom the kitchen fridge needs fixing as do the blinds in the bedroom and the curtains in the living room, very small things to fix but I thought I would bring your attention to them.

To finish I would just like to say we had a very nice stay at the property it’s position is in a great place by the sea and we hope to return in the future.

It's situation, comfort and facilities all make for the perfect stay whatever the time of year.

This was our first time staying at White Rock cottage.

It was warm and comfortable and clean, the bed was very comfy with sea views from our window. The sitting room was comfy and warm with excellent sea views, so good we have booked it again next year. The welcome voucher was a very good idea and spent easily in the local shop.

Another wonderful stay in White Rock Cottage Beadnell everything was lovely, with level parking on the doorstep, fantastic sea views and very cosy interior, would loved to have booked for 2027 but the weeks we wanted are already booked.

We had a lovely holiday and the views from the cottage are wonderful.

However the complementary wine in the fridge had previously been opened and was half drunk, probably by a previous occupant. Obviously a housekeeping oversight but a bit of a disappointment. Nevertheless we have booked again for next year.

I have booked this property in the past and found the property clean and well maintained.

This visit we found the general house keeping was a bit lacking, also oven and extractor fan above hob in kitchen need a good cleaning in the toilet the ceiling was covered in mould also some mould on tiles inside shower this could be due to noisy inefficient extractor fan the toilet seat is an accident waiting to happen and needs changed .I under stand it is end of season but this is no excuse for poor maintenance.

White Rock Cottage is lovely, everything about it is excellent and the views are amazing, we can now see how it was hard to find a free week to book it.

The cottage and surroundings are beautiful and very peaceful.

We did have problems with the toilet seat but after a call to the owner this was dealt with. The wash basin in the bathroom did not hold the water so you had to keep topping it up to wash and shave. Not very impressed with the heating system. Lots of people walking past and around and looking in.

Perfect for two people Immaculately clean Spacious warm and very quiet cottage. Lovely sea views over to farne island and perfectly placed for walks and too nearby bays. Nice welcome treats on arrival. Really clear instructions on arrival.

White Rock Cottage is a wonderful, comfortable cottage in a fantastic location.

We love it. I’m loathe to praise it too much because it is already difficult to book but we have managed to book for next year, which will be our fourth visit. Thank you to Mr and Mrs Davidson.

Excellent for two folk, in a good location with good view.

However, on arriving we considered the photographs did not do the property justice - it was a lot better than it looked.

The fridge door, which is known about, spoils an otherwise lovely kitchen and the only other fault was a loose toilet seat.

Everything else was okay. The unexpected welcome pack was much appreciated. The cottage location and views are excellent and overall my wife and I have nothing but praise for it.

The property is in need of a deep clean The water knocking through the pipes in the night needs looking into , it had already been mentioned in the visitor book .

The patio and front doors need maintenance and adjustment Could have done with a cooling fan in the property

We had another fabulous week at White Rock (and booked our 6th trip while we were there!). The location is just wonderful, and we were blessed with the most fabulous weather, and high tides too! The cottage is lovely inside, and has everything you need. Thanks so much for aniyher perfect holiday.

Lovely, comfortable cottage in a prime location.

Who needs a tv when the view is as stunning as that! Immaculately decorated and clean with everything you need, also a general store not too far away and great fish and chips. A short stroll to the beach and pub for a great meal out for that special occasion. Fantastic holiday!

What a cottage!

we have stayed in many cottages, this must be one of the very best, parking on the level directly outside the front door meant offloading and loading was very easy. The weather was extremely cold but the cottage was so warm and cosy, the facilities were excellent, the chairs and bed very comfortable, Everything was in excellent condition and worked well. The large flat screen smart TV was excellent as was the WiFi. The views from the windows and patio doors is amazing, the location is very peaceful and convenient. This is why we have booked for 2026

White Rock is a perfect cottage in a perfect location.

Everything about the cottage is done to a high standard with a stunning unobstructed view out to the Farne Islands. We live in Northumberland and visit Beadnell on a regular basis but to stay in White Rock makes a place we love extra special. Next year will be our 7th stay in the cottage. Kevin &Jill xx

A lovely cottage in the most fabulous location, with a view to die for! A couple of highlights this year for us were the walk to Long Nanny to see the nesting Terns, and the walk from Craster to Dunstanburgh Castle. Thanks for another wonderful week.

We approached this visit to White Rock Cottage with a certain amount of trepidation as the cottage had received in March a non too positive review by one person, although we were reassured by Sykes every thing would be OK.

As we arrived in Beadnell and drove towards the cottage we could not believe its outstanding position. Once inside all our worries dissipated , everywhere looked clean and nicely furnished with great views of the sea, rocks and in the distance the Farne Island. Anybody interested in walking or photography of birds the place is ideal as around the cottage we saw many people with cameras, spotter scopes , walking gear and one day we even saw scuba and divers with air bottles going in the sea. There was a nice easy walk to Beadnell harbour, Seahouses, Bamburgh and Holy Island were all in easy reach by car, plus if you wanted to visit the Farne Islands you only had to drive to Seahouses to catch a boat. The kitchen was well equipped with modern equipment and many utensils, the bedroom adequate and the bathroom one would say compact but very modern. Returning to the March review by one person, we actually saw in the Visitor’s Book his comments and they were completely opposite to the Sykes review and they agreed how we felt about White Rock Cottage that we had wished we had discovered it sooner as we sat on the furniture looking out of the windows to watch the sea crashing on the rocks and giving us a relaxing time. If there was a minor negative , that week we had a coldish wind which limited the time we sat out, if we had been able to spend more time sitting out on the patio that would have made White Rock Cottage even more advantageous for a visit.

This was our third holiday in White Rock cottage.

The location is fantastic with wonderful sea views. The cottage is clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. We would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit this very scenic part of Northumberland. We also hope to return for future holidays.

We ; my wife and I enjoyed a perfect weeks stay at the White Rock Cottage exceeding all our hopes and expectations - which were high .

The views from the cottage are spectacular, particularly in the early evening when the sun is sinking from the sky. Inside the cottage is warm ,cosy and comfortable - I think some-one employs a great deal of care and attention to ensure that this property is maintained at such a high standard Congratulations to the owners of the property- we intend to stay again

Excellent location, couldn’t be bettered.

Comfortable bed with with excellent pillows and duvet and well laundered bed linen and towels. The home was provided with excellent heating. These were the positives. The negatives were in our case the following. It is extremely tired and in need of attention. The most important issue for us was the black mould growing on the window frame in the bedroom..Also traces coming on the shower .This was a problem for myself as I am asthmatic. The Curtains are in dire need of cleaning as they are extremely dusty. These two issues were impactful, The surface cleaning needs improving. Unfortunately the owners need to consult with cleaners to rectify these issues ASAP. Deep cleaning of carpets required. It is a prime property and needs attention to detail. For these reasons we give low marks. Sadly, as maybe the owners are not aware of the deep c,earning required.

White Rock cottage is situated in a lovely location with beautiful views.

It's very comfortable however, the settee can get a little uncomfy after awhile. The shower and hot water supply are very good. The kitchen would benefit from some oven gloves too. Overall, we enjoyed a great stay and holiday in Northumberland which has alot to offer. The cottage is clean but feel it is in need of a deep clean; vinyl & tiled floors need washing, back of bathroom basin was dirty and sides of setee requires a hoover.

White Rock Cottage was a gem.

The cottage itself was very comfortable, the heating amazing, particularly as we didn't have to change anything at all, and the views were beyond our wildest dreams. It was magic. We will definitely return.

The view from the French doors out to sea is a pure tonic. The facilities within the cottage are perfect, it's a beautifully clean home, well maintained and a perfect size for couples looking for a romantic getaway. Many thanks to Frank and Ella for the gifts and milk, very nice touch. The only downside is we had to leave to come home!

The situation was perfect looking out to sea to the Farne Islands and lighthouses and at low tide watching the birds feeding. We booked for next year while we were there!

While Rock is situated only a few metres from the coastline with unobstructed views out to sea, great for chilling out on the patio area. With being only a two minute walk from the spectacular Beadnell Bay,( one of Northumberland's many awesome beaches) for us White Rock is a perfect cottage in a perfect location. Our 5th visit is already booked, maybe that says everything about White Rock.

This was, without doubt, the best cottage we have stayed in!

Everything was spotless, comfortable and short of nothing we needed! We never tired of watching the tide roll in and out (well, someone has to !) A really relaxing holiday and we will definitely be going back..... our only concern is when! A popular property so well booked up!

Wonderful location!

Loved watching the seabirds, waves and lighthouse at night from the lounge windows. Very comfortable, clean and kichen was well equipped whether you wanted to eat in or out. Beautiful coastline and so much to do in the area. Met the very friendly owner, who had provided us with a very useful welcome gift. Thank you. We stayed two weeks and would still return to the area. We will have happy memories of this holiday.

The cottage was perfect.

Very clean and comfortable. The sea views were spectacular from the living room and really added to the wow factor of the property. The village has a small shop, two hotel/restaurants and a cafe which is also open some evenings. We ate at the Craster Arms twice and the food was lovely. It is a beautiful walk along the coast to Seahouses, which has many restaurants and takeaways and does boat trips to the Farne islands. Craster is a short drive away and definitely worth a visit, as is holy island (check the tide times for driving over the causeway) We have already re-booked as we enjoyed it so much and can highly recommend this cottage.

On my return it was just as good. It is very comfortable and warm with the underfloor heating . Ella and Frank have thought of everything to very high standard.And views of the sea!

We have just returned from an amazing week at White Rock - so much so that we have just booked another week there!

The location is incredible, the view is mesmerising and so relaxing. We spotted curlews, red shanks, oystercatchers, herons and terns all from the patio! The cottage itself is perfect, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. There was a fab welcome pack waiting for us on arrival - much appreciated! Beadnell is a lovely location, and White Rock is the perfect place to enjoy everything that the area has to offer. Thankyou Sykes and the owners of White Rock - we had a wonderful weeks holiday and look forward to our visit next year.

We had a fantastic holiday at Whiterock Cottage.

Views were to die for, opening the bedroom curtains in a morning and the first thing you see is the sea - fabulous. The cottage was spotlessly clean and Covid safe. The beach was less than 5 minute walk away, and local shop and village pub approx. 10 minute walk. Lots of lovely walks to do in the area and some pretty places to visit. Would recommend to family and friends.

We've stayed in many cottages but this has been the best for a number of reasons especially the cleanliness, the standard of everything provided and the welcome pack, plus the location of the cottage is just great; when you open the blinds in the morning to look out at the sea just yards away.

The best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in, the location makes it even better, we wanted to book up again but were disappointed that there is no availability until november, all in all it was fantastic thank you.

It is a very well presented cottage, lovely position and great views.

lovely cottage in a fabulous spot, warm and comfortable, a few little niggles but nothing serious, bigger bathsheets would be nice, shower head a bit loose and toilet seat, small plates were very small as were bowls,but like I say only niggles, generally was fabulous and would love to go again

White Rock Cottage is a beautiful little cottage, very well equipped with anything you would need for an enjoyable stay right on the Northumberland coast.

Great views and the location was perfect. The cottage was imaculate with all the mod cons you could wish for.

Everything provided in the kitchen for self catering . Peaceful sleeping in comfortable bed. Very clean and tidy. Within minutes walking on wonderful Beadnell Bay Beach which stretches for miles. Facing West for amazing sunsets.

The cottage is positioned in an ideal for a holiday, easy to park and close to the sea, giving different interest through views while in the cottage at all times.

Local bird life and movements at sea are on hand day and night changing with the tides. The location of the cottage is both compelling and limiting, ie it is 12-14 miles to the A1 which allows real movement up and down Northumberland, which is a wonderful county. Enjoyed the holiday, particularly the evening walks, along the road to Ebbs Nook, the harbour and then along the beach towards the bird sanctuary. Thank you.

Level walking to and on beach. Close to lots of places to visit.

A beautiful area of the country and a brilliant place if you own a dog as you seem to be able to take them on all the beaches.

The cottage is small, but plenty big enough for two. Spotlessly clean and well presented. Strange that there was no colander for food preparation in the kitchen! Although the area was very busy, the cottage was very quiet. Beadnell seems to be fairly central for visiting most of the areas attractions. An added bonus, apart from Seahouses, we didn't have to pay parking anywhere!!!

Attention to detail was second to none,a bottle of milk in the fridge.a bag of goodies containing xmas shortbread jam,honey,cheese etc.Even a xmas card!The view from the cottage was stunning,and if you like peace and quiet from a frenetic lifestyle at home this is the place for you.I was very emotional leaving such a fab cottage and lovely part of the world .The Craster Arms gave us a great xmas dinner too.Within walking distance from the cottage.

Wonderful sea views , well furnished , well equipped, and so cosy and warm. Set in a lovely location and near the beach it is a superb cottage.

Fantastic cottage - the only criticism I could find is that the heating could do with going up a notch.

You can’t turn the thermostat up, and it was a bit nesh all week. Perfect in location and facilities within the cottage, but chilly.

It's very close to the harbour, and close enough to the village, where there is a lovely pub and and café/bistro. Wonderful view of the sea - could see the waves rolling in when it was high tide. Very comfortable furniture, and all utensils, crockery and pans you could need in the kitchen. Very modern. One suggestion - need to update the visitor folder in the drawer. Some out of date information in there. Also, might be useful (but not essential) to include tide times for Beadnell & Holy Island?

The cottage was lovely and the setting was wonderful so close to the sea and the patio area got the sun in the morning and late afternoon, so we were able to sit out and enjoy our breakfast in the sunshine and sit out with a drink in the evening.

The scenery along the Northumbrian coast is spectacular from Lindisfarne, to the Farne Island and the abundance of wildlife, to Craster and Dunstanburgh Castle. So much to see and do, an amazing week!!

Although we had a nice stay ,we went when the so called beast from the east appeared.

We tried to come home early on the Thursday but got caught in a snow drift and had to be rescued by the fire service and tractors. We went back to the cottage where we phoned the owner who told us the next weeks visitors had cancelled. We left on the Saturday, though it was still a very fraught journey. Quite an adventure.

White Rock Cottage in Beadnell is a real GEM.

It has every amenity imaginable for ease and comfort, right down to the heated towel rack in the shower. It is situated so near the sea that the sound of the ocean lulled me to sleep each night. Dear friends who live in Beadnell arranged for me to stay there recently, There is no better recommendation for accommodations than someone who is familiar with the area. Absolutely fantastic!

White Rock Cottage provided everything you could possibly require in a self catering cottage.

Lovely bathroom. Great kitchen (had to read the instruction booklet to operate the wonderful induction hob). The view from the lounge is wonderful. Can't recommend it highly enough.

White Rock Cottage is, without doubt, in the best setting in which we have ever stayed.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and all fittings and equipment were high quality. We have no hesitation in recommending the cottage to others or in returning ourselves in the future. Free wifi was an unexpected bonus which perhaps should be mentioned in the listing.
