The cottage was very nice even though we had some issues with the heating which David the owner helped with and resolved it between us.
There was two issues both of which were location related, the main issue was the very close proximity of the northeast main train line which is very busy and very noisy, until past 11pm and woke us all up far too early in the morning. The other issue was that it was close to an industrial estate with very large grain silo’s.

As I have already stated the cottage was lovely but just a shame about the two issues above. As far as I can see these issues should have been highlighted by Sykes before we booked this cottage
Hi Simon, Sorry to hear about your issues.
So that it is not misunderstood by potential future customers, the grain silos are a fair distance away and are not viewable from the cottage. All the cottages are surrounded by open countryside.
With regards to the railway line, the cottages are advertised as station cottages.
My advice for future customers is to use Google maps to establish whether these issues are
problematic.
