Robin Cottage

Robins nest is a lovely cottage exceptionally clean and everything you could possibly want for a stay.

The owners were very welcoming. It's convenient to A1 to get you places. Would definitely recommend.

We found our Cottage perfect, it had everything we needed even super fast wi fi the owner was lovely and very helpfull.

We found it so easy to get to all the places in Northumberland that we wanted to visit would highly recommend the cottages.

Lovely cosy cottage in the grounds of a riding stables.

Good directions to find it, friendly welcome from the hostess and nice extra touches (tea, coffee, biscuits, wine!). The helpful hints booklet was very useful, giving information on appliances in the cottage as well as the local area. Lovely safe and comfortable place for me to stay with my dog.

Lovely cottage in a peaceful area,had everything you could possibly need in it and handy for great days out to lots of places.

Its a cosy cottage. It is not suitable for anybody that`s over 5ft 8in tall do to the low beams upstairs. But other wise its ideal for touring Northumberland. M Roe

The cottage was as expected and advertised - small but comfortable, with amenities as advertised.

A lovely location and friendly folks. We would thoroughly recommend it, as well as Northumberland in general. Robin Cottage is lovely and in a very rural setting which suited us. Morpeth is just minutes away. It's a lovely town - Very dog friendly. The beautiful Carlisle Park has a river running through with stepping stones crossing it which our dog absolutely loved! We walked there most mornings before heading into town for breakfast - lots of places to eat and drink. As you might have guessed, we loved our week up here!

It was our second stay at the cottage we find it a very comfortable.

As a older couple we find the stairs a bit steep but otherwise its very good.

Would be helpful if there was a sign on the road outside the main gate showing Holiday Cottages.

Can’t fault cottages 5 star.parking excellent. Will be back. Thank you so much for our brilliant weeks break.

Very enjoyable experience once again

We had a lovely stay at Robin Cottage and would love to come back sometime.

A very warm welcome, friendly atmosphere and quiet relaxing setting whilst being close enough to major road networks. The cottage was cosy, stylish and modern, and bed very comfortable.

My stay was very relaxing.

It was ideal for what I needed. Everyone I spoke to was very genuine and friendly. Wonderful ambience. And thank you for the arrival treats, much appreciated after a long drive. I was being lazy and didn’t cook but everything was available if I’d wanted to. Really appreciated the space and ability to give the dogs comfort walks so close to the accommodation. And the availability of a hoover to clean up before leaving. The ONLY thing that could have improved the property for me and my specific circumstances would have been a safety gate at the bottom of the stairs to make sure the dogs couldn’t go upstairs….BUT that’s just me wanting an easy life and having dogs who ‘forget’ the rules!!

The cottage was very pretty, comfortable and clean butthe description says "shared gardens in 26 acre grounds" which lead us to believe there would be plenty of opportunity to excercise our dog however there was only access to the shared garden and dogs had to be kept on a lead !

so why mention the 26 acres?

Very snug and comfortable with everything I needed. Jane was very welcoming and helpful. Perfect location to access Hadrian's Wall and the Coast and Castles. Would stay there again. Best suited for 1 person and bedroom has a sloping ceiling.

We loved our Christmas break, I think.

our dog loved it even more. It.was ideal to take her straight out for a walk I'm the fields. The cottage was small but cozy and really well equipped kitchen which we made the most of. It's a perfect quite location with every thing we needed a short drive away.

Very pleased with Robin Cottage.

The location was perfect for us with close proximity to the A1 and Morpeth but away from all.the traffic etc.The cottage was spotless and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We had our German Shepherd dog with us and took plenty of sheets etc as well as her bed to ensure no mess after her walks. Lovely walks all around the location with lots of wildlife. Saw deer close up as well as lots of other wikdlife.Would highly recommend for a dog friendly stay.Owners Jane and Paul along with all other people atvtge Riding Centre very friendly and helpful

Jane was very welcoming, and the biscuits and wine were a lovely touch.

The cottage is lovely, bijou and cosy, and ideally situated for visiting different parts of Northumberland with ease. The departure instructions were straightforward and clear, which is more than can be said for many properties these days with huge lists of tasks to complete. My only suggestion is to make departure time 11:00am, since arrival time is quite late but that didn't impact our enjoyment of the setting and the cottage.

Although the cottage was very clean, the equipment was good and we enjoyed our stay, the following should be considered for future clients.

The mattress on the bed was very uncomfortable with springs sticking up. Although we could walk the dog we could not let her out without being with her on a lead.

I would like to say how much I enjoyed my stay at Robin Cottage, both me and my partner loved it the cottage was immaculate can’t fault it even left some biscuits and coffe and tea sachets we were met with a lovely welcome and couldn’t recommend this place enough , will definitely Holiday with Sykes again next year

Very cosy and comfortable cottage set in lovely and extremely quiet surroundings.

Absolutely perfect for a relaxing and stress free getaway. Everything you need is provided, the cottage was very clean on arrival and the beams in the living room, bathroom and bedroom were very quirky but please mind your head upstairs. We will definitely be back!

We had a lovely stay in Robin cottage.

Great base for visiting places. Advice to put padding on beam in bedroom. Cottage very comfortable and situated not far from A1. Morpeth has plenty of shops including Morrison’s and Lidl. Nice walk along river at Morpeth. When going out don’t forget to take parking disc out with you. Would highly recommend one of these cottages.

We loved the holiday - it would have been good to have some information in the cottage about the area such as nearest beach, supermarket, pub / restaurant recommendations , suggested days out etc The owners were helpful but not always around so a booklet would have been useful.

Set in a quiet location and adjacent to a riding stables, the cottage is ideally placed to discover Northumberland.

It is cosy for two people, with well-equipped kitchen and comfortable bed and sofa. Just be careful of the low beams in the bedroom.

Great location about a mile from a1 but secluded and very quiet.

Truly a dog friendly place keep dog on a lead though as there's horses in the riding school adjacent cottages. Nice bit of garden for the dog. Cottage are lovely and are well equipped. Great location if you decide to go to Alnwick or holy island which is only 45 mins away. Would book again without hesitation.

The Robin Cottage is well thought out compact but very comfortable accommodation, in a lovely setting and convenient for exploring Northumbria.

Jane and Paul were very welcoming and helpful in giving us information on places to visit. There are two excellent plant nurseries nearby. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again..

Lovely little cottage, perfectly situated to visit surrounding attractions.

Owners made us feel very welcome and friendly. I've read in previous feedback that there was a problem with the shower, however a brand new shower has been fitted and worked perfectly well, lovely and clean with a beautiful garden. Would recommend if you want a relaxing time. Will definitely make a return visit

Absolutely loved this little cottage, perfect for our needs.

The owners are really lovely people and very helpful. The only thing we would say is that the shower needs attention as it is very tempermental but everything else was absolutely spot on. Would definitely recommend.

Robin cottage set in lovely area, central location for visiting lovely Northumberland.

Just right for us. Very comfortable. So much to see and do. Fantastic wildlife and cultural sites. Not too far from the best beaches I've ever seen. Dunes full of wildflowers at this time of year but in the winter months, time to see rare migrating birds.Visited Alnwick gardens and took a boat trip round the islands to see the seals and sea birds. Great local food and lovely friendly people. And if it rains, there's always Barter Books in Alnwick which is an amazing place! Jane and Geoff, Lancashire

Comfortable for two people and our Springer Spaniel .

If tall ,low beams to consider. Little room if you have company calling. Location nice countryside area. Morpeth good little town for provisions. Good location for visiting many many interesting places in Northumberland and Durham. Enjoy as we did.

Location of cottage is very nice and very accessible.

The welcome pack excited our expectations, Including treats for pets. Hosts couldn't be any more helpful, including parking pass for local town.

This was a clean, cosy and comfortable home ideally located for a few days exploring the area.

Just arrived back from a lovely relaxing week away.

Lovely beaches around the coast and our springer spaniel settled in very well. Particularly enjoyed the beach at amble and bamburgh. The black and grey pub in nearby Morpeth is a must and the joiners Arms in nearby Newton by the sea is lovely for food. We thoroughly enjoyed thrunton Woods despite getting caught in the rain. The owners Jane and Paul made us feel very welcome and were very helpful with anything we needed and even recommended a nearby walk with the dog to thrunton Woods which was fantastic despite getting caught in the rain. Overall we would definitely recommend these cottages to anyone of our friends and family and the cottage has all amenities you need. We will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you again for an amazing stay.

The cottage was comfortable for two and in a good position to visit the attractions of Northumberland.

Having a 6 month old puppy with us it was great to be dog friendly.

But it was also a very relaxed place altogether. Our hosts were very friendly and we really felt welcomed.

The location and cottage exceeded all expectations.
