    “I don't want to write too long as it will make it sound bad, when actually this is the best place we've stayed at so far in our ELEVEN visits to these areas.”

    The size of property is great, parking is great and garden is amazing (our dog needed supervising any time she went out as the fences are short and she's a big girl) but she absolutely loved the garden, everywhere else we've stayed had a tiny courtyard at most. The beds were very very comfy, all facilities we needed were there and it was decorated very nice and it was very clean overall. We did 7 nights but then extended for an extra 3 the day before we were meant to leave. This is definitely ...

This is definitely the one I'd be most likely to return to, it really was a lovely stay There are things I would do if I owned it, but it's all personal preference, besides having a motion sensor light outside by key safe, and having double glazing and central heating. I'd still come back again without doubt.

The property

Bilton Farm Cottage No1 is a comfortable traditional stone built former farm cottage set in the tiny hamlet of Bilton, only 2 miles from Alnmouth and its lovely beaches.

The cottage is an ideal base for the holidaymaker wishing to tour the coast and explore some of the many walks along old railway lines and farmland. GROUND FLOOR Living/dining room large with electric fire and TV/DVD.

Kitchen with electric cooker, fridge, microwave and washing machine. Bathroom with shower, WC and basin. FIRST FLOOR Steep Stairs Bedroom 1 with double bed and single bed. Bedroom 2 with child size bunk beds. OTHER FACILITIES Enclosed lawn garden to the front.

Night storage heaters.

All electricity and bed linen included in rent.

Parking to the rear.

Steep staircases.

ALNMOUTH

Alnwick 4 miles.

Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday. The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore which afford stunning views of the North Sea. A short drive will bring you to Alnwick with its famous historic castle, The Alnwick Garden housing the Poison Garden which runs guided tours through dangerous botanicals and a variety of pubs and restaurants. Alnmouth is well situated for exploring Northumberland.
