A perfectly formed gem!

Coquet cottage is ideally situated by the river in Warkworth with parking and walks just outside the door. It is very cleverly designed, making the best use of space, very comfortable & well equipped. I hope this visit won’t be my last.

Absolutely fabulous have booked again for next year

Excellent stay once again, perfect for our needs and great cottage by the river Coquet and easy access to everything that Warkworth has to offer with leisure pass to Amble Leisure Centre an added bonus.

The accommodation was very nice and had everything we needed.

The shower was amazing and water hot.

A beautiful property well prepared and very comfortable.

Exactly as described and in a fantastic location to stay or explore the area. Totally recommend for a stay and we will be staying again in tge future.

A beautiful and comfortable cottage next to the winding river and with parking.

A 2 minute walk to the shop for morning papers and to a tasty coffee. Great views from both bedroom windows. A well planned kitchen with a super efficient dishwasher. The spiral staircase made carrying luggage upstairs difficult for me but I managed. I would have liked hooks for my coats by the door and maybe a shoe rack. I loved my week in Coquet Cottage.

It’s our favourite little piece of heaven we spend every Christmas here perfect as always and thank you for the lovely hamper.

Sadly we had to leave early as there was a family emergency. Hopefully we will be back next year. Perfect location for lovely walks on the beach very cosy cottage with all you need

This cottage is perfectly located in Warkworth, close to all local amenities with good car parking options.

If you enjoy walking or you have dogs you will find many walking opportunities from the cottage without the need for a car journey. The local beach is approximately a 20-25 minute stroll away, Warkworth beach is a good size and has a car park with toilet facilities. The cottage is well appointed, well decorated, well maintained and very clean and tidy. The river Coquet is only 50 metres from the cottage, we saw seals in the river on multiple occasions, a very unexpected and amazing sighting!

Our second stay at this cottage .

Perfect location , very warm and cosy , very well maintained . One room downstairs which has been really cleverly designed . So quiet at night . Only tiny niggle is rather slow WiFi but I am comparing to super fast full fibre at home . Wouldn’t stop me booking this cottage again . Also worth noting is free gym membership which we used and unlimited supply of wood for the fire which is v unusual with cottage rentals but makes life that bit easier . Thank you David for another great stay .

Having booked the cottage for a week for my son’s wedding we were so impressed with the whole experience.

The cottage was amazing . Very comfortable and had been cleaned thoroughly. We loved the log fire and had lovely cosy nights by the fire after some beautiful walks. The cottage is well situated in Warkworth, close to all the lovely restaurants and shops. We can’t thank your company enough for making a special occasion even more special. Another very comfortable week in this lovely cottage.

Perfect spot by the river and so convenient for walking and exploring Northumberland. David is a most considerate host, taking time to contact all his guests.

This bijou cottage is in a great location, with a lovely position beside the river.

There were lots of lovely walks along the river and we walked to the beach every day with our dogs. The cottage was very clean and beautifully presented. It had a great shower but the bed was a bit too firm for our liking. The kitchen area was well equipped.

Couldn't have been more convenient for exploring the town .

Parking was the best being free and almost outside the door.

Absolutely stunning cottage you feel at home as soon as you walk through the door, very stylish and in the most perfect location right by the river.

David is the perfect host and has thought of everything you might need to make your stay perfect even a bottle of wine and biscuits. The kitchen facilities are great there’s everything you might need, very comfortable furniture and a lovely log burner for a cold evening. The bed was very comfortable and lovely soft towels and it was immaculately clean so much attention to detail. Our third time in this wonderful cottage and is always our go to place in Warkworth wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Great little holiday cottage by the river.

.peaceful walks , watching the wildlife go by...a cosy and clean cottage with a dymamite power shower , needed after a long walk...the spiral staircase is a novelty but only for those with good mobility. Highly recommend a visit to Warkworth beach which is a 15min walk away..and a bonus is that you can see Warkworth castle from the back bedroom window! Thanks for all the information provided by a phonecall from the property owner on the first day..and the lovely bottle of red wine ...

My only feedback would be to provide more bin bags/ toilet rolls/dishwasher tablets for the week, otherwise it was great

Really great location for the village and river walks.

We drove about 5 minutes to Warkworth beach. Great spot for touring around and even though Warkworth was busy some days we managed to find a spot to park. The owner was great, letting us know the property was ready and places to eat etc. Would definitely recommend.

A fantastic little cottage, in a great location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Coquet cottage.

The cottage was clean and well equipped and was in an excellent position close to the river and Warkworth village. David the owner was so thoughtful; he contacted us on our journey and informed us the cottage was ready for our arrival earlier than the time stated and gave us instructions on how to access the property. He also advised us on some of the best places to eat in the village. Overall, he has been the most helpful owner we have ever encountered in the many cottages we have hired over the years, thank you. I would not hesitate in recommending this cottage.

True to the description, a beautiful property in a beautiful quiet location by the river and Warkworth is a delight. Very well presented and cared for cottage, well designed, making use of a limited space, and spotlessly clean. The owner rang to tell us it was ready earlier than 4.00pm, so that was very much appreciated as well. We are already looking at dates to book again next year!

A lovely stay, perfect location for exploring beautiful Northumberland.

A cared for cottage, nice and clean and quiet. Friendly owner phoned to say our cottage was ready earlier than stated. We walked over 50 miles this week, bliss! Lots of wildlife this time of year along the river, perfect for a top up evening walk!

Ideal for a couple or small family. Great location by the riverside with ample free parking Everything you need for a comfortable stay and even a brand new mattress in the double bedroom

Great property for 2 people or + 2children.

Great use of limited space. Great location next to the river and easy if got a small dog too as we did. Mattress could be better as not too comfortable. Plenty of crockery, cutlery too.

On entering the property all looked good.

Then I had to start cleaning the place mats, as they were very sticky and there was something left on two of the larger ones. The light switches needed a good clean and there were lots of pet hairs on the cushions. I know it is a pet friendly cottage but this could have been addressed. Apart from those few niggles it was very warm and quiet. Just lacking a good coffee maker. The mattress on the double bed was very uncomfortable so had to use one of the singles as a topper and use a pillow to get comfortable. If you want piece and quiet with a lovely riverside setting then this cottage is for you.

It was another fantastic week for me at the cottage.

I really cannot recommend it more highly. It is luxurious comfortable clean and is equipped with everything you could possibly need. The setting is amazing with the beautiful river bank right on the doorstep and Warkworth is a delightful village.

Fabulous cottage in a lovely location.

Very well equipped and furnished to an excellent standard. You can tell that care has been taken refurbishing the cottage. It's comfortable and homely. An excellent base for exploring the area. We had really good weather and enjoyed lots of beach walks with our dogs. Would recommend Bertrams in Warkworth for everything from coffee and cake to evening meals. Will definitely be back to Warkworth and this cottage.

Fantastic location on the banks of the river Coquet.

Really appreciated the call from David the owner before we arrived with hints and tips, and of course the lovely welcome pack and wine. The cottage was spotlessly clean and offered quality fittings and furniture. The log fire made it extra cost after long days outside. Unlike many others, the logs are provided for the whole stay and not just a couple of sticks to start you off! Everything was perfect and even the spiral stairs were well made and didn’t rock as you went on them like some I have experienced. We left feeling like we had been at a spa as we were so rested and refreshed. We will definitely return.

My third stay at Coquet Cottage and reading through the Visitors Book I realise I’m still a novice!

Northumberland out of season can’t be beaten and this such a lovely place to stay - comfortable, cosy, well equipped and in a great location, both within Warkworth itself and for exploring countryside and coast.

This cottage is our little piece of heaven we have loved it since we first came to stay there many years ago with our 2 dogs we love walking on a different beach every day.

We spend Christmas there it’s so cosy warm with everything you need and the owner always supplies a beautiful Christmas hamper here’s to next year

The owner treats his cottage, as you would a classic car with love and care and important it is perfect for your stay.

The cottage was well-equipped and cosy, and in a wonderful position right by the Coquet river.

This is one of the very best cottages that I have ever been to.

It's luxurious warm well equipped and the location is fantastic. David the owner couldn't have been more helpful or generous. Even though the weather wasn't brilliant I had a fantastic week. I would wholeheartedly recommend it!

We had a lovely stay at the cottage, it's location is fantastic, the kitchen is very well equipped everything we needed was there.

On the days you don't want to cook there is a very good cafe around the corner that we would definitely recommend. The cottage is cosy and spotless!! We would definitely book again.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage, and all the amenities were great, but only slight issue was that we couldn’t find a cafetière!

Such a lovely, welcoming place to return to on winter days. Warm, cosy and comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring the Northumbrian coast. The owner is particularly helpful and goes out of his way to make visitors to the cottage feel welcome.

I arrived tad exhausted from work walked into the charming cottage and immediately felt relaxed and welcome.

Beautiful furnishings and amenities all to a very high standard. A lovely welcome gift (thank you!) David (host) was lovely and sent a welcome message. My dog(Joy) had a super time exploring the local walks, pubs and beaches. As always Northumberland made us welcome.

I would definitely recommend this holiday cottage in a fantastic location the cottage is very lovely and cosy has all the amenities you need and unlike some other properties we have stayed in did not have to pay extra for the wood for the log burner that was really nice.

The bed's were really comfortable and the view's from the bedroom's are just beautiful. The local shops and pubs are very friendly and the food at the masons pub is second to none absolutely lovely. And if you don't mind short drives the places to visit around this area are just stunning. I really enjoyed my stay with my dad are hoping to visit again next year. Once again a big thank you to the owner was a really big help on arriving at the property just loved it.

Great week away in Warkworth, the cottage is stunning, the owner was extremely helpful and attentive.

Loved the setting right next to the river where we watched a young heron fishing for food every day. Warkworth is a beautiful town, welcoming pub and a cake show with AMAZING cake and love the fact that the cafe on Bridge Street is Dog Friendly. Places to recommend, Craster, Dunstanburgh Castle, Newbiggin by the Sea, Bamburgh Castle (especially if you watched Last Kingdom on Netflix), Amble. The Northumberland Coast Line is spectacular, we loved your beaches. The only thing we didnt quite enjoy was the weather ha ha and this certainly wasnt down the property owner. Thank you for a lovely week I have already recommended your cottage.

Location of cottage to virtually everything you'll need is has exceptional to everything you'll need in the cottage. It's so well designed, tastefully decorated and well thought out. The property is in a super location and is extremely well presented. Whoever books this property will not in any way be disappointed.

Very cosy, comfortable , warm cottage . Kitchen very well equipped . Great shower. The cottage is in a perfect , quiet location right next to the river . We ate well in the Masons Arms and Bertram’s and this trip also tried the Harbour Inn in Amble which we would highly recommend . We practically had Warkworth beach to ourselves most mornings . Perfect weather rounded off a great 2 week break in beautiful Northumberland . We would most certainly stay again in David’s cottage .

The owner was extremely helpful and called us before our stay to welcome us and provided lots of useful information over where to go and where to eat. The cottage was beautifully clean and warm and a lovely hamper of food & drink and even a personal card wishing us a Happy New Year welcomed us arrival. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to 2023.

This is a lovely cosy home from home for us we love everything about this cottage and return year after year the owner is always there to help if needed the bed is so comfortable so guaranteed a good nights sleep we love the wood burning stove.

We loved staying in Coquet Cottage.

Fantastic location as dog owners, with walking from the door along the river path to the castle and a huge dog-friendly beach also within walking distance. Parking very convenient as well. The cottage was extremely well-presented and well-appointed, with every detail thought of. We thoroughly enjoyed our swim, courtesy of the leisure club membership in nearby Amble, which is included. We were sorry to leave but hope to be back. This is an exceptional cottage.
