“Despite the owners e mail to my complaint I would like to say that there was a dirty glass, dirty cutlery and a dirty pan, I wish I had taken photos but I had washed them up before I thought of it.”
This is a very small property and the owner is not open to receive any criticism. I would not recommend this property , after 10 weeks staying in different places this is by far the worst and very expensive for the accommodation. All the owners of other properties have been lovely , this owner seems very aggressive and not open to criticism.
Thank you for your feedback. As I have not had any direct contact with you, only via a third party email, I can assure you that we welcome all feedback as we aim to give our guests a pleasant and enjoyable stay. I am sorry that your experience was not up to your expectations and wish that you had contacted me directly during your stay to settle any resolvable issues. I can also assure you that I personally clean and put a lot of pride and effort into this newly restored cottage and regret that I can't share the comments in the handwritten guest book which I feel reflect this.
In regards to the pricing, I'd like to mention that the cottage company is responsible for rates and, unfortunately, the wk of your stay was the school half term wk, when all the cottages are more expensive.

About the location
WARKWORTH
Alnwick 5 miles; Alnmouth 3 miles; Amble 1 mile.
Lying in the loop of the River Coquet on the Heritage Coast, Warkworth is a picturesque village, dominated by the dramatic ruins of its 12th century castle. The history of the village and the castle are intertwined with the Percy Family who took over the castle in 1332. The Percys’ other home is nearby Alnwick Castle, most recently associated with Harry Potter as the film location of Hogwarts School. The main street is lined with Georgian and early Victorian houses and there is an exceptional range of galleries, antiques shops, a village shop/Post Office, pubs, restaurants and gift shops to suit all tastes. Warkworth has its own stretch of sandy beach and a 9 hole pay and play golf course. Also within easy touring distance are Hadrian’s Wall, Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island, the Farne Islands, several wonderful beaches and Alnwick Garden with its remarkable water cascade and Tree House Restaurant.
