“This is a lovely cottage.”
It was very clean and attractively furnished. Outside, the seating area in the garden was a real sun trap, and despite being above the height of the house, it was sheltered from the cool April winds, so that we sat outside most late afternoons after a day of walking or sightseeing.
The location is very good for sightseeing. You can walk down a lane almost opposite the driveway entrance and it takes you straight down to the beach and to the English Coastal path, so excellent for walks. (Note that you can't let dogs off to run around in Budle Bay, due to protection of wildlife.) There are several pubs and restaurants in Bamburgh and small supermarkets in Seahouses, about 10minutes drive away.
All in all, Coral Cottage is a perfect base for a week on the Northumberland coast.
