“A lovely cottage with patio area and smallish grassed area up a few steps.”
The cottage was very comfortable and clean and nicely furnished. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery & cookware and appliances, even a small coffee machine (the type with pods). We did find the two clumsy and awkwardly placed swinging arm lamps either side of the sofa a nuisance and apart from a few general maintenance issues we were not disappointed and enjoyed our stay. The beach is just across the road and down a short footpath and Bamburgh and Seahouses were just a short drive away.
In the spirit of constructive feedback the maintenance issues as follows: - The grass needed cutting and garden furniture needed a bit of tlc, inside, cobwebs from the beams, ivy obscuring one of the skylights (knocks against the glass when windy), missing door threshold into the lounge and damaged door threshold in the hall nearest the shower room, rust stains from a slight or previous leak on one of the hallway skylights, also we had to scrape back the stone clippings in the bin store to get the bin in and out and to be able to close the door properly and as you expect guests to put the bins out for collection it might be an idea to update your information booklet. (We looked up the correct day on the council website). Lastly, as mentioned in other reviews, we were disappointed there were no logs for the wood burner, it appears to be BYO!
These were minor issues, the cottage and location are great!
