“Beautiful beach house in a great location, perfect for a family get together.”

The property was beautifully clean. Lovely welcome touches provided by the owner, which included a hamper as we were Christmas guests. That was a good indication of the owners commitment to their guests enjoying their stay. No hesitation in recommending the property to anyone looking for a holiday retreat.

“Ideal beach house in excellent location , high standard of furnishings and cleanliness , would book again.”

However there were issues: Major - the heating wasn’t working on arrival , and to bathe 2 children we needed to boil kettles. We reported the problem shortly after arrival , the heating was repaired on Saturday at 11am. Minor - on arrival we noted that the curtain rail in the main bedroom needed fixing , as well as the shower head in the main bathroom.

“We had our first stay at the Beach House 12th-19th May 2023.”

I say first, because we would love to return. The house is spacious, light filled and with its open plan layout designed for modern living. With every comfort catered for, it is the perfect place to kick back and relax in. We know the area well and it is ideally situated for beach walks and activities or alternatively trips into the Northumberland hills. There are just the right amount of cafe and dining options in Beadnell for when cooking on holiday is just too much work without it being overly crowded and Seahouses is a very short drive away to cater for most whims and needs.

Seahouses 2.6 miles. The Beach House in Beadnell, Northumberland, is a beautifully decorated and sophisticated home that is ideal for a family holiday, boasting an amazing location near the beach. The home is beautifully decorated, and the high ceilings and big windows which help to provide a light and spacious setting. The sitting area is the perfect place to congregate and enjoy spending time with one another, completed with a feature vaulted ceiling set up in front of a feature fireplace and picture windows presenting lovely vistas. The contemporary kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed to prepare great food throughout your stay. When it's time to serve up, take a seat at the dining table where you can spend many hours drinking, dining, and interacting with family and friends. If the weather is nice, open the patio doors and step out onto the deck, or if you're feeling more energetic, grab your tennis racquet and use the nearby tennis courts. Three beautifully furnished bedrooms are available for guests to choose from when it's time for bed: a ground-floor double, a king-size room, and a family room. You're at the ideal location in the morning because Beadnell Beach is close by and has miles of sandy beaches that are just waiting to be explored. Take a scenic drive to destinations like Bamburgh Castle, Hadrian's Wall, Northumberland Country Zoo, Dunstanburgh Castle, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, or hop in the car and drive to Seahouses, Bamburgh, Warkworth, and Alnmouth. You can also take a boat trip to the Farne Islands to see unusual birds and even seals. The Beach House is a chic summer home in Northumberland that would be ideal for a family getaway.

BEADNELL

Seahouses 1.5 miles; Bamburgh 5 miles.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland's Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs, two cafes serving food, and a new beach bar and seafood restaurant. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away. Golf, fishing and riding are also available locally.
