Little Haven

We had a lovely time at Little Haven.

The house was homely and the enclosed garden for the dogs was good and secure. It was nice to have a welcome pack. The neighbour was lovely too. I would definately book it again. THANK YOU.

We stayed in the cottage fir a week in August with a 6m puppy and two nerodiverse boys.

It was perfect for our needs. The beds were comfy and there was space to move around freely in both rooms. The children loved the surrounding area and the fact their bedroom overlooked the cow field. Where the cows would gather near the fence morning and evening. It was a short drive into Bamburgh. It is walkable and there's a nice path to the village but its quite a hike for little feet. Other nearby beaches were easy to access by road with a short car journey. The cottage had a fire with plenty of fuel provided and we had a good welcome packof everday essentials..it contained dishwasher and washer machine and microwave. Everything worked as well.aa expected. We enjoyed our stay and found it perfect for our needs. The puppy enjoyed having the garden to play in.

This was our second visit to Little Haven and really enjoyed.

The house has everything we needed and find it a really peaceful place to stay. The garden is secure which is great for our dog.

Little Haven is a little gem so glad we chose to come.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage was lovely and surroundings peaceful, just the resident cows each morning & evening. The cottage is equipped with everything you need and extra thoughtful touches with the welcome pack. The information & leaflets rovided were very helpful. Oh and the enclosed garden was perfect for the dogs. We will definitely come back to Little Haven and Bamburgh is a beautiful little village with the impressive castle as a backdrop, the beach was never ovetcrowded.

The welcome tray was just perfect. The cottage had everything we could need. The enclosed garden was just perfect for our dog and sitting having a morning coffee in the garden was so relaxing. We would highly recommend a stay here if you are planning on visiting Bamburgh.

We found the property was in a great location for visiting nearby places of interest so we never had to drive far.

Very quiet and peaceful. Loved seeing the hares! Cottage was well equipped. Good garden for dogs and walks.

This property was a lovely base to explore an amazing area.

Everything you could need was provided. The beds were super comfortable and the garden was perfect for our son and dog. We are hoping to return in the near future. Communication with the owner was always answered promptly and they were super helpful.

Little Haven is a great place to use as a base for this area of Northumberland.

Little Haven is part of a small group of cottages in Burton a few minutes drive from Bamburgh and a five minute drive to the A1 for easy access to other places to visit.

The house it self is lovely, very bright and welcoming. The beds are really comfortable in the spacious bedrooms with peaceful views over the countryside. The house is well equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay. We had contact with the owner the day before we arrived and the morning we left to check everything was okay.

It was so fresh, clean and comfortable. So thankful for the kind and thoughtful welcome gifts! It is in a gorgeous and peaceful countryside area, a few minutes drive and you get to the amazing Bamburgh Castle and beautiful beaches. The secure garden was fab to sit out in, also for our dog. There was not any contact with the owner prior to our arrival, it would have been useful to save the confusion on arrival about where to park during our stay. Highly recommend a stay here, we intend to return very soon. Northumberland is a beautiful place, there is so much to see and here is an amazing place to do it from.

This was our second stay at this cottage, it’s a lovely comfortable place to stay with a nice secure garden for our two collies, it’s in a great place, near to Bamburgh yet just off the beaten path and very quiet, also within an easy drive of so many lovely places.

A lovely thoughtful welcome pack waiting for us was much appreciated. The wood burner was great in the evenings , very cosy. We would definitely recommend the cottage.

We really enjoyed our week at Little Haven, it was so comfortable and well equipped with a great enclosed safe garden for our two dogs.

It was so cosy sitting by the wood burning stove at night too. A really thoughtful welcome pack was waiting for us. We would love to stay again soon, it was in such a convenient place a stones throw from Bamburgh village and so quiet. A real gem

An extremely well-appointed and well-maintained holiday home.

Beautifully located just a short distance from Bamburgh, Seahouses and Beadnell, Little Haven is the perfect place to recharge and relax. Everything you need is provided as well as helpful guides to the local area. We would certainly recommend it.

The cottage is well-equipped, with everything you need for a trip away. All communication with the property owner, Caroline, was excellent, with a much-appreciated welcome pack. The location itself was stunning, with views of Bamburgh Castle and the surrounding countryside; the cottage was extremely peaceful and relaxing. The cottage was perfectly located for exploring the North Northumberland coastline, and we would recommend this accommodation to anyone who wants to visit this outstandingly beautiful area. We would love to come back.

Had a lovely stay at little haven,I got mobility issues so stairs didn't work for me to steep, other than that beautiful in the country great for the dogs lovely big back garden walking distance to the castle.

It was a lovely walk to Bamburgh on the quietest roads. Great for dog walking. The cottage was very well equipped. We would definitely go back. A lovely part of the country.

Very comfortable.

A home away from home. Everything that you need is there. It is in a great location within easy reach of Bambrough and Seahouses and great access to the coast and towns of Northumberland. There are plenty of places to eat out and visit within a short distance and lots of good walks.

Little Haven is just that.

. a little haven. It’s perfectly furnished with everything you could need in a home from home. The bed is so comfortable we had to force ourselves to get up in the mornings. The bedrooms are well furnished, and spacious. The shower is a powerful one which was needed after a day at the beach; so close, only a short drive ( 20 minute walk) away. Now to the garden, delightful to sit out in on warm evenings, or like us early mornings with a coffee and it is a completely safe space for your dog; fenced and gated accordingly. Information regarding the appliances is in a plastic folder should it be needed. All basis covered! There was even a good supply of logs and firefighters (with matches) to start you off. The living room furniture is very comfortable, and the television is a good size (very rare!) not one of those small ones! The icing on the cake for us was the quick response from the owner Caroline, when there was a power cut, who answered the phone after the first ring; and put our minds at rest, keeping us informed for the duration of the power cut. All in all I cannot recommend Little Haven highly enough. We will be back, not only is it easy to get to but if you enjoy watching wildlife it’s the perfect spot.

Lovely cottage well kitted out with everything you need.

Small secure garden is ideal for dog owners and the location is perfect. There were roe deer in the field most nights and views of Bamburgh Castle from the front. The turn in the stairs is pretty tight and an elderly frail person may struggle with that but other than that it’s a lovely cottage

Little Haven was perfectly located and equipped for a lovely stay.

We felt at home straight away. It was a nice surprise to find a secure garden for our dog to explore safely. It was only a few minutes drive or 20 min walk from to Bamburgh that has great pubs, a butchers and Pantry store. The beach is great for long walks overlooked by the castle. Lord Crewe pub was our favourite and the Potted lobster restaurant for seafood lovers. The copper kettle cafe has delicious cakes ! Seahouses is worth visiting where there are regular boats trips to the Farne islands. Barter Books in Alnwick , Cragside (NT) and Floor’s Castle were lovely trips out. The Barn at Beal and Carnaby’s are both lovely for coffee or lunch. We’ve had a lovely time and will definitely be back

We would highly recommend Little Haven, the name says it all.

The property is delightful, spacious yet cosy and we loved it as did our dogs. Bamburgh is close by with the castle, a super butcher and the cakes from The Copper Kettle are delicious. We can also vouch for the seafood platter from The Potted Lobster. Yum! It is easy to venture further afield from the cottage, both walking and driving.Alnwick, Lindisfarne, Craster, Dunstanburgh, Embleton etc. etc.There is so much to see and do in beautiful Northumberland and Little Haven is the perfect base from which to do it.

We had a fantastic week at Little Haven!

We have two large dogs, black lab and golden retriever and this property was absolutely perfect. We've taken them on several holidays previously and this is the first one where the outside space was totally secure and we could sit and relax without worrying where they were. The cottage was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed! Location was also fantastic, the village pub was about a 40min steady walk and the beach about 15min further on, lots of places to walk and sit, we had a great week. We will definitely be returning, thank you!!!

We loved the luxurious bed sheets and super-comfy bed, the lovely bathroom and the roomy, double aspect living area. The location was fantastic for access to Bamburgh and Seahouses. All in all a fantastic stay in a great property, thank you to Caroline who was so helpful and welcoming.

Quiet rural location. Close to all of the local attractions. The Beach at Bamburgh is one of the best in the UK and it was just down the road.

A wonderful cottage and a really comfortable home from home.

It is fresh, bright and beautifully done, we loved it! There is everything you need plus some nice additions including a welcome pack and a map on the wall showing the local beaches and castles. The owners are great and very helpful. Our dog loved mooching in the secure (important for us), well kept garden. It's rural and quiet but only 5 minutes drive from Bamburgh and you can see the castle from the house. I definitely recommend this cottage and we are looking at dates to book it for our Northumberland trip next year!

What a great cottage this is to stay in.

It has a lovely cosy feeling about it and the facilities inside are excellent. On arrival we were greeted with a welcome pack which helped set the tone for an excellent week’s stay. The kitchen appears to be fairly new and has everything you could need if you want to eat in. The bathroom is very nice too as are the bedrooms. Outside there is an enclosed, private garden with a grassed area and a patio/seating part too. The front is a shared courtyard. The location is approximately a 5-minute drive from Bamburgh which makes it an excellent location for the beach, the castle, the restaurants and the ‘must try’ ice-cream! If you prefer to go off the beaten track the cottage is situated on one of the back roads so its perfect for exploring some of rural Northumberland and keeping away from the crowds. We would definitely recommend this cottage for all the reasons above but also for the excellent communication from the owner and the fact that she permits dogs to bring their owners to stay too.
