We loved it so much that we’ve booked again for next year and a longer stay too

Great size home, plenty of space for 6 people, much bigger than photos suggest.

Parking permit good for going out in local area. Charges apply to use pool etc so did not go. Kitchen well designed, great for family meals, beds very comfortable. Great location, quiet but still able to walk everywhere. Only negative, dusty in some areas and bathrooms clean but suggest need deep clean however appreciate difficult mid season. Lovely welcome pack and coffees and tea provided. Sofa and cushions smelt slightly of dog when we arrived, however is a dog friendly home. We had a fantastic week and would book again.

Great accommodation with ample parking.

Great care had been taken to provide everything you could possibly want to enjoy our stay. children to fur babies we all had a great holiday. Visited lots of lovely beaches and villages close by as such a central location. Would definitely return.

We had a fantastic stay at Muscle Shoals cottage in Seahouses!

The location is absolutely perfect - just a short, easy walk to the harbour, local shops, and some great spots for fish and chips. The cottage itself was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. We especially appreciated the enclosed garden. It felt like a real home away from home, and we’d love to return. Highly recommended!

First time in a cottage (usually caravans) would definitely book again great location and very spacious for my grown up family and our 15yr westie it felt like home

Excellent property throughout.

Lay out well thought out and one of the best equipped properties we have ever stayed in. It felt like a lived in property and not a holiday let. Could not fault it.

From booking with Northumbria Cottages to our stay at the fabulous Muscle Shoals it has been a top class experience.

The house was even better than the pictures, it was so peaceful and relaxing and very private and just a minute walk to the harbour. It had many amenities, it’s clearly been well thought about regarding customer comfort and we loved the quirkiness in its decor along with a modern look. We loved Terence. Very dog friendly and was very safe for my granddog Alfie the beagle. One of the best properties I have stayed in, we will be definitely be making this a regular stay. Great accommodation situated in the centre of Seahouses but in a quiet area.

Property has everything you need as well as being very clean with parking. Another great stay here.

Absolutely perfect accommodation.

Fantastic location and immaculate throughout. The cottage is like a tardis and is beautifully presented with cool, modern artwork and quirky features (we particularly loved the coasters and the key holder and, of course, Terrence!). We wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

We loved our stay here!

Muscle Shoals is a gorgeous, spacious holiday home and we loved being able to walk to the village centre, beaches and swimming pool, as well as driving out for a day trip to Alnwick. Would definitely look to stay here again.

Everything was straightforward and easy.

Muscle Shoals is conveniently located in the heart of Seahouses.

Close to the harbour pubs and supermarkets. Yet pleasantly quiet We had a slight hiccup at the beginning which was dealt with efficiently. The beds are comfortable. Cleanliness excellent. All in all a enjoyable stay. We have rebooked for next year.

On arriving the heating and hot water were not working.

This resulted in the house being very cold until The next day when the guy arrived to fix it. We also Had no hot water until after mid day on our second day. This was not ideal as we wanted to go out early.

Loved our stay felt like home from home, had everything we needed and more for the 2nd year running, we will most definitely be back.

Fabulous house, we all loved it, including our 2 cockapoos.

A beautiful location, Muscle Shoals was very clean and incredibly well equipped with plenty of equipment.

Everything was fabulous and we would love to visit again sometime soon as we had such a great time. Thought the visitor book was brilliant with the section on recommendations as we used a number of them. Would highly recommend.

Perfect house in a private and quiet location, we loved it and would certainty recommend.

My only comment would be better window coverings/blackout blinds for the bedrooms would be nice.

The property was in a perfect location.

It was very well equipped with everything you might want. The area was quiet and it was a short stroll to the harbour and the shops. Ruth in the office was very efficient when we asked for help with the lock on the conservatory door.

Everything was as it looked in the photos.

Well equipped , clean, roomy and very warm. More central to shops,pubs,harbour etc. than I was expecting. No problem with parking , both in the allocated spot or outside the front of the house. We had such a good time and would all visit again, including the dog!

Brilliant cottage, deceptively bigger than it appears.

Very clean with good artwork on the walls. It is very local to the shops and the beach with a fully enclosed safe garden for our dogs. The parking permit for our 2nd car was only used to park in the seahouses car park a couple of times but was useful when we were out and about in the other car parks it could be used in. My only negative comment is the settee and cuddle chair are very low down and more or less impossible for some of our party to sit in as we just couldn't get off them without a pull up. But there are 4 comfortable chairs in the conservatory that we ended up using. Would definitely return if settee replaced. Very cosy cottage.

Great quiet location.

Welcome pack very nice. Fully equipped and stocked kitchen and spare towels/bedding etc. Both entrance doors need adjusting and some internal doors a little oil to stop them squeaking. We really enjoyed our stay for the week and hopefully will be back again. Would recommend this property 100%.

Cosy and warm.

Surprisingly spacious and tastefully designed. Easy arrival and departure. The location was perfect, in the middle of the town and close to the harbour. We had a great week here with our brown family. Fabulous food in the local pubs and restaurants, great wind blown walks along the beach and plenty of local villages and towns to visit. Wonderful:)

Beautiful house and perfect walking distance to the harbour and shops, we have stayed in a few places in Bamburgh and Seahouses and this has been our favourite it is so cosy and homely after a long day at the beach!

Found the washing machine and dryer super handy and also the coffee machine. Will definitely stay again.

Great stay everything you needed and close to the beach

The house was just as we had hoped, for a family holiday and ideally placed for access into the town.

It was very well maintained and comfy. The games were perfect for family fun in the evenings and on rainy days. The parking facility needs to be made a little clearer, as one car can fit in the drive behind the house, with the 2nd parking space in the middle of 2 others alongside the house more suitable to a smaller car rather than larger SUV. The parking which was available some days in front of the house was fine, and we did use the carpark in town overnight too twice. The garden area is perfect and safe for our little dog too. We would definitely like to return again soon.

Only criticism would be that a bit more cleaning in certain areas is required otherwise perfect

The conservatory door was hard to lock.

Apart from that, the house was very comfortable, spacious and nicely decorated. Good beds and bed linen. The garden furniture was lovely. Parking at the back of the property was a little difficult but we could’ve used the spot at the front.

Great place to stay, very spacious and very well equipped.

Only negatives we had was it wasn’t the cleanest we have stayed in. The hoover that was there didn’t work. We were also asked how we would like the bed set up in the double room, we asked for 2 singles but on arrival it was set up as a double, however none of this would stop us from staying there again. Overall, an enjoyable holiday.

As a party of six adults and two small dogs we were overall impressed with Muscle Shoals.

Very spacious and well equipped holiday house. Unfortunately microwave was not working over our stay and as I understand was to be fixed on day of our departure. Comfortable beds with lovely fresh linen and fluffy towels supplied. Nice patio area with comfortable furniture. Cosy conservatory with seating if too chilly to be outside. Muscle Shoals very central for shops and pubs close by. We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future.

The property was amazing.

We loved the house and there were different areas for family to play board games, sit and read or eat. We were a three generation family enjoying a lovely Easter break. We took advantage of the swimming pool access and took our seven year old granddaughter swimming twice when it was a wet day.

We had a wonderful stay at Muscle Shoals.

It was very cosy and comfortable. The bedding and towels were high quality. The location was fab as just a short stroll to the beach and the pub and the area was quiet. The house had great facilities and was well equipped. The conservatory got lots of sunshine in the afternoon which was lovely and it was great to have a designated parking space too. We will definitely be back!

Location in Seahouses is perfect! Easy access to the beautiful beaches, shops and restaurants. House exceeded expectations. Loved that we could be in the harbour in minutes, pop out to buy fresh fish or walk along to the Black Swan pub, a few metres from the doorstep!

This was our first stay at muscle shoals and it won’t be our last , the property is done to a high standard , beds was very comfortable which is a bonus , very well laid out and it had everything needed for a family holiday , very spacious cosy and warm as it was December , beautiful home One recommendation is to have a 4 slice toaster for the bigger family

Perfect place for a family group holiday, every thing thought of, catered for and provided.

Decor was quirky but so fabulous and such attention to detail. Comfy beds, lovely bedding. What’s not to love in this wonderful holiday cottage.

Absolutely beautiful cottage.

This cottage couldn't have given us anymore than the owners have provided, we have just come back from Muscle Sholes from a week away with friends, the fishing harbour is literally a 2 minute walk away from the front door, lots of local pubs and shops to explore. This is a great location for the beach which stretches for miles and is only a 10 minute walk away. Anyone that chooses to stay here will not be disappointed we certainly weren't

We found the property to be as we hoped for and the gifts left were lovely.

The location is superb with easy walking distance to Restaurants, Town, Harbour and beach walks. The kitchen/dining area is brilliant, but the seating for relaxing in the lounge was a bit of a struggle for 4 adults and 2 children. It is only a minor issue as there are enough seats but not positioned well if you want to watch TV in the evening. (for anyone thinking just move the seats, it is not possible due to design} Everything else was brilliant and the amount of crockery was unbelievable,,,,in a good way (lots of it) We would like to thank the owners as it does appear that they have thought out well what is required for their guests. We had a lovely week. Thank You

Another fab stay at muscle shoals, they had literally thought of everything you might need.

Beautiful house in a beautiful location. Will defo be back. Only issues we had were the upstairs toilet seat was broken and kept coming off and also the king Suze bed had not been made into a twin as requested. All in all a lovely weekend away!

The house was beautiful and comfortable and had all the facilities.

We did find that the loo seat was broken on arrival and the microwave stopped working , these were reported but unfortunately no one came to fix them whilst we were there. Lovely area to explore and we have booked again for next year .

A wonderful cottage, perfectly situated in the older part of Seahouses which means it is close enough to the facilities - two minutes stroll to the harbour - and far enough away to be completely peaceful.

The cottage itself is beautifully kitted out to a very high standard. The garden is a glorious little suntrap. I honestly can't fault any of it one bit. The highest recommendation I can give is that we will be rebooking as we loved it so much

We stayed in the cottage for a week, it’s vary spacious and modern with comfortable beds and a secure back garden which our dog loved.

The location is brilliant within walking distance of the harbour and shops. Lots of nice walks to do locally. The kitchen has everything you need but lacks utensils for dishing out a meal, loved the utility room! Very nice welcome pack on arrival too. We visited; Bamburgh Castle, National trust Craigside house, Holy Island with Billyshields boat trips and Alnwick gardens. Watching the sunset from the harbour is lovely too.

Could do with manuals on how facilities work, eg microwave as it didn't appear to be working correctly.

Also we felt the water was very hot and it could be turned down slightly.

Lovely stay but would suggest lighter weight duvets for the summer months.

Also tap over basin in main bathroom needs attention. Reported issue with patio doors so I’m sure that will be addressed.

This is a really lovely property and felt like the pictures didn't do it justice.

We were a family of 4 with 2 sets of grandparents and it worked really well for us and we never felt like we were on top of each other. It's in a great location and can easily walk into the town centre.

What a beautiful cottage, spotlessly clean with lovely comfortable furnishings.

Very spacious and a great garden for the dogs too. Really well equipped, the owners have thought of everything. In a very central location but very quiet and peaceful at the same time. The boot room is great for storing shoes and bags and great that it has access from the street so you can offload everything without traipsing through the rest of the house first, couldn’t fault any aspect of it, a very lucky find, thank you.

Really clean and modern.

We had the best week at Muscle Shoals.

A lovely, warm and comfortable property with interesting decor details. Ideally placed for visiting e.g. Bamburgh, Beadnell, Low Newton-by-the-Sea, Alnwick, Craster (crab sandwiches!) and Holy Island. We recommend just around the corner The Black Swan for food, cocktails and atmosphere. 5-10 mins away for the Co-op and for takeaways -Indian Brasserie and Seahouses Chinese takeaway. Also ideally placed for the seafront 5 mins away. At night, walk along the front by the caravan park for some amazing views of the stars, simply breath taking. We certainly recommend this property and would stay again.

One of the loveliest properties we’ve ever stayed in.

Good facilities and very comfortable beds. Plenty of room to spend time together or separately if wanting quiet time to read etc. Very close to both amenities in Seahouses and beautiful walks along the glorious beaches. Will definitely come again.

We absolutely loved our stay here, the cottage had everything we required for a short family break. It is beautifully decorated and very well thought out to create a cosy and relaxing stay. Great garden area which was fab for the dogs and will be great in the summer months. We definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful cottage.

Every thing you would need for a self catering break. The owners have definitely given a lot of thought into the decoration and comfort to make a very welcoming cottage. Very clean with everything we needed for our stay. Great location in seahouses. Great place to stay with the dog, having a utility to make sure he was clean before going in the house was a bonus. Would definately stay again.
