Turnstone
Description
Turnstone is a delightful bungalow resting in the seaside town of Beadnell. With close by amenities and attractions, this property is an ideal base for friends or older families looking for a base in Northumberland.
Park off-road and be welcomed into a single-storey abode, discovering a contemporary kitchen/diner with tasteful furniture housing a good selection of amenities to encourage you to cook up a storm, which can be enjoyed at the dining table.
Settle into the stylish sitting room, curling up on one of the plush sofas with a good book, or enjoy a movie marathon as the woodburning stove warms your feet.
When sleep calls, freshen up in the bathroom with either a soak in the tub or a refreshing shower, before cosying up in one of two bedrooms, choosing between a king-size with handy en-suite, and a twin.
When the sun is shining, head out to one of the two patio spaces to dine alfresco, toasting to your getaway with a glass of your favourite beverage.
Beadnell is a charming seaside town offering a selection of eateries, pubs, and a local beach. Nestled within the Northumberland Coast National Landscape, there are many lovely coastal walks.
Try out a game or two at one of the close by golf courses or learn more about local history at Dunstanburgh Castle and Warkworth Castle. Bamburgh is close by, offering quaint independent stores, as well as an impressive castle, and beyond this you will find the fascinating Holy Island, boasting the well-known Lindisfarne Castle and Lindisfarne Priory, and here there are also many walks, a museum, and Gertrude Jekyll Gardens.
Alnwick offers many eateries, museums, and the impressive Alnwick Castle, used to film Hogwarts in Harry Potter, and guests can also explore the stunning scenery of the Northumberland National Park.
There is simply so much to be explored with a stay at Turnstone.

What guests are saying
This is our second stay at Turnstone and it felt like coming home.
Everything is just what we want: comfy bed, spotlessly clean, great living space and everything we need in the kitchen. Beadnell is our favourite place to holiday and being such a short walk to the beach but also near the bus route and excellent pubs and cafes is perfect. We had already booked for next October before this holiday and we can't wait to return. Our only negative is we'd like to book other stays off peak at Turnstone but it costs the same for 4 or 5 nights as it does for a week. Not sure if this is a Sykes thing or individual property choice.
Fabulous garden, a real suntrap.
Everything you could want or need in a holiday home, plus lots of little extras. Would definitely recommend it for a relaxing break, but within easy reach of a very well stocked shop, superb cafe next to it & good transport links.
Lovely place clean comfortable all amenities a place like home from home Nr beach and nice walks all round a lovely place to stay and would book it again
