Bruno's Bothy

This is an outstanding cottage.

This was our second stay and we love it. It is great for the dogs - having a secure back garden. It is superbly equipped and very comfortable. The location is perfect for access to everywhere from Berwick to Alnwick.

This cottage is a fantastic location to explore locally.

Easy parking, surprisingly quiet considering the road is close, property was clean and had all the basics you would expect, apart from no hand soap in bathroom or kitchen and supplying just one dishwasher tablet is mean. My only gripe is that the listing states fully equipped kitchen which I assumed meant there was a washing machine. There wasn’t annoyingly as we had been travelling for 10 days prior to the stop at Bothy’s and really needed to wash some clothes. Did actually mention this to the owner who coincidentally had popped by to mow the lawn. He seemed surprised and apologised that this wasn’t made clear in the listing. I think this should be made clear especially if travelling with children or when you have beach towels etc to wash. Also mean not to allow access to put the heating on as despite it being June it was very cold when we were there but it was too much of a faff to go to the effort of lighting a fire then all the faff of cleaning it all before leaving. Apart from these couple of gripes a great little basic cottage.

Overall a lovely cottage which was in an ideal location for visiting up and down the coast.

Our only little issue was you really have to slam the door to shut it or it pops open

Cottage was excellent, everything we needed was provided.

We had a wonderful stay at Bruno’s Bothy.

A lovely warm welcome from the host with a fire set up and ready to light after a long journey. Well equipped cottage with everything we required. Very comfortable bed. Wonderful location in an absolutely stunning part of the country. Beautiful coastal and inland walking on the doorstep. Great secure garden for the dog. Great communication throughout from host and lots of lovely recommendations given. Would happily return for a repeat visit. Thank you !!!

Bruno’s Bothy is an exceptionally cosy, comfortable, well equipped cottage, ideally located for Bamburgh, Lindisfarne, Alnwick, Alnmouth, Ford and Etal.

It’s a great base for lots of walking and very dog friendly with a lovely secure garden. We had very cold weather during our stay and Scott kindly contacted us on our way up to give us clear instructions on how to sort the heating out. Scott was also very helpful before our visit giving us the contact for a delivery of logs that lasted us the week. It was our first time in Northumbria and we loved the unspoilt beauty of the area. It was very comforting knowing we could return to a log fire and hot bath in such a cosy cottage after a days walking. Thank you Scott for all your help in making our holiday such a restful, enjoyable stay. We would highly recommend Bruno’s Bothy.

We stayed with our 2 dogs at the Bothy in early November.

Its a great location for explring Northumberland and close to many beach walks. The property was very nicely presented and was exactly as per the pics and discription and was spot on. Nothing negative to add. I would highly recommend the property and location as both are excellent. All the best.

Everything that we hoped for ,a very enjoyable week

This was our third visit and the perfect place to stay when visiting the sites of Northumberland as a nice central location for coast and countryside.

The accommodation has everything you need and the beds are comfy. We take our three dogs and the garden is a safe place to let them out with no fear of them escaping. The area is very quiet and just outside the village which is perfect. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

We had a marvellous holiday at Bruno’s Bothy!

The house was a great base for exploring the immaculate beaches at Bamburgh, Seahouses and Lindisfarne as well as days out to Holy Island and Alnwick castle. We loved stargazing at night with epic skies from the house. Living area very comfortable, kitchen with excellent cooker, and bath and beds good. Tesla supercharger 5 mins drive and Co-op supermarket also very close in Belford. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely week in Bruno’s Bothy It’s a beautiful cottage with everything that you need to have a great holiday

We really enjoyed our stay at Bruno's Bothy, any little problem we had the owner came & sorted the problem out immediately.

Would certainly return, it's a beautiful part of the U.K.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bruno’s Bothy .

We also hired Kits Cottage which is next door , which worked out brilliantly. The cottage is really well equipped and spacious. We especially loved the roll topped bath . It is ideally placed to explore Northumbria and even cross the Scottish border which we did via the Union Chain Bridge which is a destination in its own right . Bruno’s is ideal for dogs with the enclosed garden . We would thoroughly recommend this property .

We have just returned from a wonderful week at the Bothy.

The location meant we had the whole of Northumbria’s coastline in easy reach with Budle’s coastal path a real hi-light. The cottage has absolutely everything we needed including a wonderful bath after a long days walk. It was really cosy, warm and homely with a well equipped kitchen. Scott, the owner, was great with some great tips for food and walks. Dog loved it too, the garden is escape proof! Perfect cottage.

We had a lovely time at Bruno’s Bothy.

The host was helpful and responsive and the home was exactly as described and perfect for a family break.

We had a super stay in your lovely cottage.

It’s in a great location to explore Northumberland. The beach is only a 10-15 drive away. Secure garden for our dogs, ample parking and we were very comfortable. We look forward to returning in the future

Loved the location, the bothy was amazing.

Everything that we wanted. Shame the pub wasn't closer!!

We really liked the cottage and enjoyed our stay.

The information sent out in advance and the communication from the owner was very clear and helpful and enhanced our stay. The location and the cottage were both great, it met all of our requirements. We would definitely recommend and would look to stay there again.

Lovely cosy cottage.

Beautiful rustic interior with comfortable furniture and beds. Great location for exploring the Northumberland coast. We had a truly lovely holiday thanks to the owners who have thought of everything.

We have just stayed at Brunos Bothy for 7 days.

Well situated to nearby Bamburgh, Alnmouth and Alnwick. The two bedroom accommodation was dog friendly, which allowed our party of four adults to bring our two dogs. A small private garden with furniture at the rear, It was clean and comfortable, All necessary kitchen equipment provided. With ample parking at the rear. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Good clear instructions & information prior to arrival .

Easy & convenient parking . Very comfortable & clean cottage . Lovely interior, good location for exploring the area .

Bruno's Bothy was lovely, nice area and lots to do.

We got a large wood order early on to keep the fire going and the cottage super warm, details supplied by owner and well worth it. We got great tips from the owner about where to visit. The cottage is nicely presented and good for dogs too. Lovely stay, thank you

This was a wonderful stay and a beautiful property

Beautiful property and location, we enjoyed the stay very much and would visit again.

I would suggest that the cleaning needs to be checked on as in general it was decent , however lots of cobwebs that could have been removed and dog hairs in the bath.

We had a truly lovely week at Bruno’s Bothy - very comfortable and cosy and everything you could possibly need was there.

The cottage is well located for all the beaches and villages of the Heritage Coast, and Belford (a few minutes drive away) has a great Co-Op and a fab fish & chippy! Highly recommended.
