This stone-built cottage dating from 1915 is situated next to the owners home, tucked away into a honeypot location; a little oasis of calm and tranquility. Well-suited for a small family or even couples wanting to get away-from-it-all, Teviot Cottage has been carefully perfected with a true sense of style, and summery colours to uplift the interior wholeheartedly.
Contemporary and inviting, the owners have spared no expense, from the Velux windows that welcome in an abundance of light, to the handmade bunk room, this retreat is a lovely place to stay.
Continue through the property to the sleek sitting room with its pretty accessories and coordinated colour scheme - your own haven to unwind any time of day. Wander across to the modern kitchen which is elevated by low lighting oozing from door size windows that can be opened two ways. There is also a walk-in shower room designed to that of a luxury hotel standard, comprising an all-white suite. The two bedrooms are laced in pastel colours, the first is presented as a king-size whilst the second bunk room includes an architect-designed cabin style, with a horizontal bed above. In the mornings you can make the most of the small private paved front garden with its flower borders, mature apple and magnolia trees, ideal for a warm cup of tea before the day begins. Alternatively catch the last of the evening sunshine on the patio area at the rear of the cottage. Corbridge is one of the most fashionable locations in the North of England. It’s a vibrant, historic village centred on the Market square and St. Andrews Saxon church.The village has a selection of unique independent shops, renowned pubs, cafes and restaurants as well as lovely walks by the river. The village is situated in the Tyne Valley, just 20 miles to the West of Newcastle and 3 miles to the East of the Market Town of Hexham. It is the perfect base to explore Hadrian’s Wall as well as everything that Newcastle upon Tyne has to offer. Hadrian’s Wall and Housesteads Fort are nearby, whilst the market town of Hexham is well worth a visit, with its narrow streets, selection of shops and fascinating abbey boasting 15th century paintings and a fine Saxon crypt. The Border Country, Northumbrian coast, Kielder Forest with cycling and watersports, Beamish Open Air Museum and Durham Cathedral are all within easy distance. This is a beautiful retreat not to be missed.

Second stay at the cottage.
Comfortable and convenient for travelling around Northumberland. Friendly locals and excellent local facilities.
We agree with previous reviews- best ever welcome pack, great location, very quiet and peaceful, Co-op and other shops nearby.
Cottage looks old-fashioned from outside but all modern inside. Very well-equipped and plentiful consumables (washing -up liquid, cooking oil) included. It’s only about half a mile from railway station. There are bus stops outside the Inn for services to Hexham and Newcastle. From Hexham the AD122 Hadrian’s Wall bus goes to all the key sites along the Wall. You can walk from one site to another along the Wall Path. Good walks from cottage such as riverside then woodland walk to Hexham. So no need to take a car (we didn’t).
Very nice cottage, well equipped with everything you could need.
Best welcome pack we have had for a long time, so thank you very much. Perfect position for shops, pubs and busses. We never had any trouble parking near the cottage.( With permit included). For a quirky pint you must visit The Pele Tower and The Black Bull for good priced Food.
Just back from a week at Teviot Cottage.
The hosts Emma & Darren are very nice and very helpful. Teviot Cottage is located centrally in Corbridge, close to shops,pubs restaurants etc. Parking is on the road, but the hosts supplied a Parking visa. We would recommend this location and if we return will try to book again. The Hosts supplied a nice welcome pack.
This is a lovely quiet cottage owned by a lovely couple.
It is snug and ideal for a couple. The towns excellant independant shops are only a few minutes walk away. The only slight negative is that its so tucked away that you cannot park outside but its part of its charm.
Whist just a stones throw from the centre of Corbridge and roads Teviot Cottage really does make you think you are in the middle of nowhere, all you can hear is birdsong.
The cottage is as per the listing and had everything we needed for a week of relaxation and exploration. A good selection of items on a welcome tray including ground coffee and teabags. The king-sized bed is comfortable and the shower is excellent. The owners are next door, available if you need them but not obtrusive. Parking is on the road, but you can get closer to load unload. A parking permit is part of the booking. Just if you come back on a busy weekend you may need to park further away and get closer later. The centre of Corbridge is just round the corner, a short distance to the Roman Town and station. My one grumble the bedroom window only has Venetian type blinds at the window, these do not stop light so at this time of year the bedroom is light from 5am, need to consider a blackout blind or curtains.
Lovely little cottage.
Ideal for a couple. It is centrally situated for all the amenities of the beautiful village of Corbridge. Shops, restaurants and pubs are all minutes away. There is no parking outside the cottage, but the parking areas on the nearby road always seem to have spaces. The walks in and around the village are beautiful and numerous. We were here last year and visited most of the Roman sites. This time we mainly explored the immediate environs.
Our second visit and it was as lovely as the first.

Very convenient for the town and easy access to many local tourist attractions.
We enjoyed a very pleasant stay at Teviot Corbridge is a very good base for the area, including for those like us who do not drive.
And Teviot is well-placed within Corbridge. close to pubs/restaurants/cafes/shops and bus stops, yet in a peaceful spot. We walked up from the station, which doesn’t take long, and found the place easily enough. The cottage is comfortable and well-equipped all round (with the possible exception of the TV which is a little small for the distance to the seating; on the other hand my glasses are not designed for such a distance and, unfortunately, neither are my eyes!) It has a good shower and the double-bed (the only one we used) was very comfortable. Also the cottage was generally warm, though we found the dining area a little chilly of an evening and there is a strong draft from the front door keyhole. We really enjoyed watching the bird-life and, despite the dreary weather, we had very enjoyable visits to the Roman Town, Hexham, Haltwhistle and Carlisle on a long, but very scenic bus journey where we even saw some sun! We were very grateful for the lovely welcome gift…we so particularly enjoyed the ginger snaps that we are going to have to source our own supply! We would be entirely content to stay again. PS: If you stay here, we especially recommend the Casa Rosso restaurant..the food was wonderful and the friendly, welcoming and efficient service even more so.
Fantastic cottage tucked away so a little hard to find but that makes it perfectly peaceful.

Tevoit Cottage was just perfect.
Has everything you need for a week's stay. Very close to town, lots of pubs and places to eat and transport links where great if you didn't want to use your car everyday.
We enjoyed a wonderful stay and would come again x the cottage was cosy and warm, with treats to greet you, just the ticket thank you so much for a great stay.
Corbridge was everything we'd hoped for and more, quaint, lots of lovely independent shops,where I was able to get all my Christmas shopping done, nice pubs and cafes x everyone was so welcoming x thanks again x

Excellent cottage for a relaxing week away!
Easy walking distance to Corbridge centre. Everything as described on website! Can get car to within 80 paces of cottage to unload and then park on road using parking permit supplied, no problem. Plenty of great coffee shops in Corbridge. Even had a cheap day trip to Newcastle 40 mins on the train!!

A lovely cottage very peaceful and very well equipped everything we needed.
Excellent location for everything in the town including some very good pubs and restaurants and a bus stop very close by ideal for days out. Very handy for visiting the numerous Roman settlements.
Our second visit to Teviot Cottage as we so liked the both the cottage and Corbridge as a base for exploring this part of Northumberland.
Cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. The town, river and Station are just a moments stroll away.

Our second stay at this beauiful cottage in a glorious area.
The owners were very generous with their welcome pack and all home comforts we could need. Cottage is only a short walk from amenities, including the railway station, (just across the river), making a car free trip into Newcastle very easy. (We would highly recommend the Blackfriars restaurant in Newcastle). The cottage is a short drive from local attractions such as Chesters Roman Fort, Wallington (NT), etc. We also enjoyed an evening visit to Kielder Observatory - a longer drive but well worth the trip. Thank you to Darren and Emma. We hope to visit again.

Gorgeous cottage and friendly people (especially Juno) that meant that we were able to fully relax.
Parking was never an issue and the short walk to the property wasn’t at all problematic (and amply warned about) and in fact made the cottage all the more secret and secluded and special! Tastefully decorated and comfortable, with everything you could need - however, the dining table was very wobbly and could do with a tighten. Lots of different spaces, inside and out, meant it was the perfect place to unwind and recharge!

We had a lovely stay at Teviot, a beautiful cottage in a quiet location but close yo the town which was very convenient.

* If travelling with large suitcases, be prepared to take them a long way.
* The full size windows in the kitchen/diner have no covering (blind, curtain, etc) so your neighbour(owner) is visible when they are out. Result - absolutely no privacy. The need to understand the ‘peculiarities’ of how their new rear doors open; the need to reset the green button on the boiler, etc; and the absolutely filthy oven all added to a disappointing stay.

Lovely well looked after cottage in a central but very quiet location.
Had everything we needed (the welcome hamper was a particularly nice touch). Corbridge is a great place to stay with lots of options for food and we were always able to find a parking spot close to the cottage.
Absolutely lovely place to stay, central to Corbridge but secluded.
Our only problem was that it was difficult to find - the instructions were not clear and referred to a business, J. Forster Antiques, that appears no longer to exist. (We had to ask someone living nearby in the end). Worth hunting out though, lovely cottage, clean, comfortable and a thoughtful welcome pack. We thoroughly recommend this as a place to stay.
This is the third time I’ve stayed at the cottage and it is still my favourite.
I love everything about it. Comfortable, clean, stylish, pretty, excellent location, friendly and helpful owners. Would highly recommend.
Perfect cottage with idyllic garden.
Very central and Corbridge is a gem. It is on street parking but a visitor disc is provided and we had no trouble finding a space.

We loved the cottage.
Very well equipped, comfortable and great touches/decor making it a wonderful place to stay. The location is perfect. It is quiet, peaceful yet only yards from the village. Gorgeous garden adding to the appeal of the cottage. It’s a two minute walk to a bus stop with regular buses going to Newcastle and Hexham. Corbridge is a great place to visit. It has plenty of restaurants, pubs, cafes as well as clothes shops, a book shop and a really good deli. It’s a short walk to the bridge over the Tyne. Great cottage in a great location. The hosts were very friendly, lovely welcome pack. They have put a lot of thought into making staying at Teviot cottage a very positive experience. We have already recommended the cottage to friends and if it’s available will also return.
The property was gorgeous - bright, cheerful, arty - the welcome pack was delicious and much appreciated and the owners were very helpful, even returning a few personal items (ahem) we'd left behind.
Pity not to see the garden in bloom, but we'd definitely return, even on a cold, wet February.

This was by far the best equipped cottage we have ever stayed in, no expense was spared on the facilities, very friendly and helpful owner.
The only downside for us being " mature" was you can't park near to the cottage, for us it was difficult to get our luggage down the narrow footpath, that's only because of our health problems, apart from that couldn't fault it.
A lovely cottage in the heart of Corbridge.
Clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Walking from the front door to the shops, river and station is a delight. There is a visitor parking permit for nearby on street parking.
This was our second stay at Teviot Cottage and we had another great week exploring Hadrian's Wall.

We had a lovely time at the cottage.
It was just what we needed after a hectic year at home! The cottage had all that we needed for a relaxed stay and Darren the host was on hand as when we needed to contact him. The location is great with most local attractions within a 30 minute drive. We loved the decor of the cottage and would love to come again for another visit.
We've always wanted to visit Corbridge & we couldn't believe our luck finding this gorgeous cottage.
It was the best equipped cottage we've ever stayed at, no expense was spared with the quality of the fixtures and fittings & the welcome pack was very thoughtful (yey, Ringtons ginger biscuits included, my favourite!!) Check out the Vicars Pele Tower, open Thursday to Sunday, it's now a fabulous bar, (not sure the vicar would approve

This was our 2nd time at Teviot cottage and we had another lovely holiday.
The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed visiting different places both on the coast and inland. It was so nice to come back to Corbridge and the cottage each day. We tried various restaurants, all lovely. Darren was on hand if needed and gave us tips on places to eat and visit
The cottage was as advertised.
It was sparkling clean, and very comfortable. We were lucky with the weather, and got to spend some quiet time in the garden in the sunshine, accompanied by Juno the cat, who was not adverse to a comfy and sunny lap! Darren and Emma were lovely and very helpful. We could not have hoped for a better home away from home. Corbridge is an excellent base for discovering Hadrian's wall and Northumberland.
Lovely cottage in a great locality to walk into Corbridge with its restaurants and public houses.
Also lots of places not far away to visit from there including National Trust properties. Would highly recommend.

Fab artwork and photography on walls. Great base from which to explore Northumberland. Corbridge is lovely and it’s so good to have the independent shops handy - loved the greengrocers and Grants.
We had such a lovely week at Teviot Cottage, it is so pretty and in such a great location, tucked away off the main road but so close to everything.
The train station is only a 10 minute walk away and there are so many lovely restaurants and pubs on the doorstep. Grants bakery, whilst pricey, is very good! The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed and more. The spacious bathroom and powerful shower were great. The gorgeous gardens were lovely to look out at from the mullioned windows at the front and the door-length windows at the back. The highlight for us was the lovely owners next door, we thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone. And our daughter’s highlight was the fun bunk bed, she was so excited about it before she even got there! Thank you for making our holiday so special.

A beautiful oasis, so peaceful and relaxing.
When you arrive at the gate, you are surrounded by a beautiful garden. The cottage is wonderful, very charming modern property. Everything had been done to a high standard, beautiful. Made you feel at home straight away. Darren & Emma the hosts are marvellous, on hand if you need anything. Left us a beautiful welcome tray, lots of lovely items and we really appreciated it. They also leave a resident parking permit, that came in very handy. We stayed for the week, wish we’d stayed longer. We travelled all over, it was so easy to get around and see some beautiful places. The property is in the centre of Corbridge, so walking distance to the local shops, pub & Restaurants. Will certainly go again.

Everything you could need from a holiday cottage, the owners have thought of everything. Amazing welcome pack, superb shower with loads of hot water, well equipped kitchen, could not fault it. Parking is on the road (about 1 minute walk) but a parking permit is provided and no problems getting a space but you can pull up slightly nearer to unload and load your car. Corbridge is lovely-beautiful village with plenty of pubs / restaurants / shops / cafes and is handily on the bus / train route for easy access to Newcastle and Hexham. A “Champions League” rating from us and on our “approved list of places to return to”
A great base for walking Hadrian's Wall.
Light, airy, comfortable, tastefully decorated, well equipped. Top location near the centre of the delightful village of Corbridge yet also very quiet and peaceful. Darren was friendly and helpful. A lovely place to relax after a long day walking with plentiful hot water. highly recommended.

The cottage is lovely.
Its well equipped and the bed was comfy. The bethroom and kitchen are part of a modern rear extension and have been well furnished. The cottage is also unexpectedly peaceful considering it stand just a few minutes walk from the centre of the village and we woke up each morning with the birds singing around us. We were looking for some where to relax and it fitted the bill beautifully.

The decor and furnishings are tasteful and of the highest quality. The cottage exudes comfort the moment you enter the front door.
Cottage absolutely stunning with a fantastic welcome pack.
Spotlessly clean with a great shower & all fittings of a very high standard. Corbridge is a wonderful place to stay, friendly people, lovely independent shops, pubs & restaurants & all this minutes from the cottage. We had a wonderful time exploring the Roman Ruins & going on long walks by the river.
Cosy, relaxing and quiet, with everything provided, and attractive decor and furnishings.
We had a really pleasant stay. P.s. But you might want to be aware that the pesky tap is still dripping even after plumber’s attention.

Teviot Cottage was a real Gem.
It had everything you would need and was very cosy . So would definitely recommend this cottage for a holiday. Darren was very helpful,recommending different eating places ( which there was plenty to choose from). Also a lovely Welcome pack which was much appreciated.

The cottage was in a great location in a beautiful village. The cottage was spotlessly clean, well decorated and enhanced with lovely locally sourced pieces. We had everything we needed and more! We've stayed in quite a few Sykes properties over the years and this was voted the best by our 12 year old, we agreed! Thanks for a lovely relaxing stay and the very thoughtful welcome gifts. Sykes- maybe just add to the house info that you need to park on the main road, it wasn't a problem but helpful to know when you arrive.

The cottage was absolutely perfect.
You have obviously put a lot of effort into each room - the choice and standard of furniture and fittings is exemplary. We really appreciated the provisions you supplied for us. The location meant that there was little or no noise. Access to the town centre and its amenities was easy. It was a great location to explore theTyne Valley. Being in the middle of the three cottages meant we had views over the three front gardens and we also really enjoyed the back terrace. You are both considerate and friendly hosts.

Parking was easy thanks to the permit left by the owners. The cottage gardens are beautiful and well looked after. We would definitely recommend and visit again.

I really enjoyed this cottage and my step-sister joined me for part of the week.
We thought the cottage was very well renovated and had plenty of information on local attractions, included maps and had a nice bookshelf of interesting books. The garden was lovely and we could sit out and be private amongst the greenery. Parking was manageable for two cars, we had to juggle a bit but we soon got the hang of it. Corbridge is a wonderful village with some lovely shops and a deli with a cafe upstairs.

Excellent holiday cottage for a week in Northumberland.
The cottage is well-equipped and very comfortable. The only slight downside was the slow broadband but that was a small problem because we were out and about each day. The hosts were friendly. Corbridge is a lovely town with good restaurants and independent shops and is near major, interesting historical sights like Vindolanda and Hexham Abbey and not too far from Beamish Museum.
It was a delight to stay in such a beautiful cottage.

The cottage has everything needed & is of a high standard throughout.
2 mins walk from The Angel (recommended) & the centre of the village. Great for a short break or longer stay. Lovely garden to the front & a wee patio at the rear. We had a very nice welcome pack on arrival & it's clear that Emma & Darren have put a lot of care into the cottage. Highly recommended for a break.
On arrival at the cottage we felt instantly at home.
The place was spotless and everything we needed was provided to make it a comfortable stay. From the outside it looks like a character cottage but inside has been modernised with plenty of thought gone into making it a relaxing holiday home with lots of extras provided. We thoroughly enjoyed our week there and would not hesitate to return. We were also provided with a welcome basket which was much appreciated. Thank you to Darren and Emma, we hope to return to your lovely cottage.

We are two friends who meet up 3 or 4 times a year.
This was our 2nd visit to Teviot cottage and we booked it last minute after a very busy start to the year. The moment we stepped through the door we relaxed, Darren and Emma have created a beautifully calm and stylish home with absolutely everything you need for a getaway. Corbridge itself is a wonderful village with lots to do and easy access to the Northumbrian countryside. This won’t be our last visit.

This property from the outside is absolutely beautiful, looking full of "cottagey character" but the inside is extremely modern, bright and exceptionally clean.
An amazing little welcome tray, and extra little touches such as throws to keeo you warm on the chilly evenings. The kitchen is more than well equipped and the shower is amazing. Nice little bit of outdoor space back and front and we never had a problem finding a parking space, using the permit left for our use. The owners live right next door and are extremely helpful if you need any help at all.

Nice thought for essentials and goodies left for our arrival. The cottage is in a very quiet area but only minutes from the village. Very good pub food locally. Would definitely recommend.

Corbridge is a postcard-perfect place with everything you need (bakery, shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs). Would recommend it for families with younger children.

This is a wonderful property, beautifully clean with quality furniture and fittings, all in a lovely garden setting. Parking on Main Street was never a problem with the supplied permit. Emma and Darren were helpful hosts, on hand if required. We can’t recommend Teviot Cottage highly enough - we’ll be back!

A lovely cottage in a lovely town.
We would not normally book anywhere that didn’t have private parking, but this turned out better that expected. There was always a space on the street and we felt happy leaving it there, with the parking permit supplied by the owner. The plus side to the parking was that the cottage was very quiet with no passing cars, hidden away, surrounded by beautiful gardens. The cottage was very comfortable with one of the best showers we’ve had in a holiday let & the owners welcome treats an added bonus.
Having just stayed at Teviot cottage for a weeks holiday I have to say it's one of the loveliest places we have ever stayed in.
Although it is situated in the heart of the village it feels so tranquil and peaceful.It offers gorgeous ,modern and immaculate decor but at the same time feels so homely and cosey .We honestly Loved every minute of our stay. The owners , Emma and Darren are very helpful and friendly.They Definately made us feel welcome! Corbridge itself is a lovely friendly place.There are plenty of places to eat and drink right on the doorstep of the cottage .During our stay We ate out at the black bull, dyvels and the wheatchief and we would reccommend them all. Take away Fish and chips fron the angel fish were absolutely to die for too.Definately worth a visit!

Beautiful cottage in quiet village enclave, very clean and well supplied with anything “home dining” Loads of local information about things to do, places to go.
The centre of the village is a 5 minute stroll. Gorgeous!
This cottage really deserves its “excellent” rating.
It is located just off the village’s main street and is accessible by a car-free path. Car parking is readily available on street and a visitor’s parking permit is provided. All the fixtures and fittings are high quality and all the things you need for an enjoyable stay are provided. Corbridge is a delightful village with plenty of eating and drinking places and a good base to visit the Roman remains in the area.
The Cottage is superb - incredibly comfortable, brilliantly equipped and spotlessly clean throughout.
Communication from the owner was also spot-on during our stay. The only 'negative' in respect to Teviot Cottage is the distance it and speak parking, especially upon arrival and departure (ie unloading and loading). However, this is made clear in the property details and a permit is provided to allow on-screen parking within the Town....so "it is what it is" , and is more than compensated for by the fantastic village centre location.

Great area for walking and easy travel into Newcastle by train. Cottage was comfortable and well equipped and parking no issue with permit provided.

At Christmas, we had the most fabulous stay at The Teviot Cottage.
The cottage looked festive and there was a thoughtful welcome hamper on arrival. Darren and Emma were amazing hosts, who were very responsive and if we needed anything at all, they were there to help. The cottage is finished to an extremely high quality that you will be pleased with and feel at home immediately. Me and my family couldn’t recommend staying here enough! I wouldn’t hesitate to book again and we will be back!

This is our second stay at Teviot Cottage and again it was absolutely perfect.
We had a very late arrival and the owners made the cottage warm and welcoming for us. The cottage has everything we needed for our stay. The beds are so comfortable and our little boy loves the super cool cabin bed. It's tucked away in a gorgeous spot with a lovely cottage garden and a short walk from river walks, lovely shops and cafes and restaurants in Corbridge. We'll be back!

When we read the reviews before we booked our holiday we expected Teviot Cottage to be very good but we found it truly exceptional and beyond our expectations.
The quality of all the equipment, fittings and furniture were everything anybody would want. We enjoyed the location, so quiet yet in the centre of Corbridge, just a short walk to the whole of the town. The owners, Emma and Darren live next door and were very helpful. Thank you. Carole and Ray.
The accommodation is and old stone building in a quiet lane in the heart of Corbridge.
Outside is a traditional country cottage but inside it is packed full of contemporary and Nordic style. Absolutely stunning, comfortable and spotlessly clean. It was a perfect retreat for us after a stressfully 18 months
Teviot Cottage is delightful- a peaceful base just steps away from the equally delightful Corbridge!
There are endless opportunities for walking and easy access to Hadrian’s Wall. We hope to return soon unless Sykes continue to inflate their prices.

Lovely kitchen and bathroom, and some amazing bunk beds for the children. The cottage is very well-positioned and there is some outside space at the front and back. The owners live next door and were both charming and accommodating. There was a heatwave when we were there and they even went out and bought us a fan! Corbridge is a great town. There is a lovely bakers, and we had great meals at the Black Bull pub and the Il Picollo Italian restaurant. Both recommended. Loved it.

Teviot Cottage is located in a quiet, access by foot only street, yet minutes walk away from Corebridge centre and stunning walks, including Corebridge Roman Site. The cottage is well appointed and you know the owners care when you are welcomed with a little note, freshly baked bread, milk, wine, chocolate & shortbreads. We hope to be back soon as the perfect location for walking, visiting Hadrian's Wall. Excellent transport links by train & bus to Newcastle & Hexham.
The cottage exactly matched its photos and most of the description but it didn't mention that the back patio area was shared with the adjoining cottage.
It wasn't a problem for us as the weather wasn't favourable enough to sit outside but if it had been, we wouldn't have used it for lack of privacy. However, there is a lovely front garden if should you want to sit out. I would have liked a bath after a long day out but knew the cottage only had a shower. None of the above is a complaint but just our own personal preferences. The cottage was comfortable and cosy and fulfilled our expectations with all the necessary amenities. It was spotlessly clean too. There is no parking on site which is a little inconvenient but not a deal breaker as its not too far away to bring luggage. When walking to the accommodation for the first time it would be helpful to have the name of the cottage on the gate as we walked past it twice. Lastly, the owners very kindly provided us with milk, bread, wine, chocolate and biscuits. That was a very nice touch and appreciated. Corbridge has some nice shops and it's a good base to visit Hadrian's Wall, the Roman army museum, Durham cathdral and Hexham (a few miles away) has a nice Riverside walk. Overall, a very nice place to stay and enjoy.
We felt we got on very well with the thoughtful owners, who were in no way intrusive and would have left us alone, had we so wished.
The cottage was well equipped and the extras went beyond our previous extensive experience. Corbridge is a delight itself even under partial lockdown and is a good jumping-off point. Great.

This is a beautifully appointed cottage in the heart of the thriving town of Corbridge.
The cottage was exceptionally clean and contained everything required for a very comfortable staycation. The only thing we missed during our autumn stay was a wood burner in the sitting room, that would have made the cottage truly perfect. That said, the heating is very efficient, so we were never chilly. The bunk bed room is quite small so only really suitable for two younger children to move about in, but that is a tip for future guests, it had no impact on our stay. The cottage is a 5 minute walk from all of Corbridge’s cafes, pubs, shops and historical sites, so the car can be left alone. A parking pass is provided but the parking is on street, so on arrival and departure day it’s a bit of a job ferrying bags from the street to the cottage up a narrow path. Lots to see and do nearby and a lovely quiet cottage to return to at the end of a day’s sightseeing.
THE COTTAGE WAS ALL WE COULD HAVE HOPED FOR AND WE WILL CERTAINLY STYAY THERE AGAIN
The cottage was in an excellent location with access to local shops.
Transport facilities were very good making it easy to get to various places of interest. There was several local restaurants offering a choice of food. There was also several lovely walks.
Wonderful hosts, lovely welcome pack and the best accommodation we have stayed at and we have been doing this for 35 years!
Teviot cottage is exceptional.
It was very clean and has all the luxuries you could wish for.
Teviot Cottage was a delightful place to stay for two weeks with such pretty gardens and very handy for local shops, but being tucked away as it is it is very peaceful.
There are many places to visit and sites to see with good road links and the local railway to either Carlisle or Newcastle. We would happily stay there again.
We were given very good directions to find the cottage by text which was great.
When we arrived at the cottage there was a pint of milk, chocolate, biscuits and wine which was a very lovely surprise. The cottage was very clean and very nicely furnished. Even when we left the owners couldn't have been nicer. We left my daughter's blanket behind and were told that it would be posted to us. All in all a great experience considering the type of year that 2020 has been to date. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our week exploring Northumberland and the village of Corbridge. The cottage was clean, comfortable and had lots of little extras that made it a home from home and we appreciated the goodies too! We’d love to go back.

Our last minute requests for a travel cot were warmly accommodated and the welcome pack was a lovely treat on arrival. The cottage is a stone’s throw from lots of lovely shops and cafes - the perfect base for a holiday!

We have stayed in Corbridge and Northumberland before with Sykes cottages and are always happy with the booking experience.
However, we were especially pleased with the quality of Teviot cottage. 2 minutes walk into the town itself, the cottage was obviously recently refurbished to a high standard being clean, warm and well equipped. The standard of furniture was modern and comfortable and the cottage retained much of its character whilst being brought up to date. The open plan dinning kitchen with sofa area was wonderful, especially as a family with a young child as we could all be together while preparing meals. The owners provided a lovely welcome tray with local bread, local chocolate and biscuits as well as a bottle of wine and milk in the fridge. We had a young child and brought our own travel cot but one is provided and the built in bunks in the 2nd bedroom will be great when our little one is older. We will definitely want to visit again - Corbridge is a great base for the Tyne valley, Hadrians Wall country and Kielder Forest as well as Newcastle itself. Can't recommend highly enough!

The cottage is amazing: Provided with a typical traditional exterior, the interior is absolutly modern and stylish.
In particular the roof windows above the walk-in shower and above the dining table provide a lot of light from above. The kitchen is fully equipped with dish-washer and washing maschine including a dryer. Not to forget the kind wellcome package with milk, wine and bread for a perfect start. Definitly one of the best cottages we ever booked!

The owners provided a 'visitor's parking permit' so on street parking was no problem. The cottage is in the centre of Corbridge and tucked away so is quiet and still in easy reach of all the amenities. Corbridge is a beautiful village with a selection of pubs and cafes, a general grocery shop, butcher, veg shop and bakery. I would certainly recommend this cottage to family and friends.

Cottage was very contemporary inside but traditional outside.
Some nice touches made it very pleasant such as welcome pack including locally baked sourdough bread, very very tasty. We made straight for the local bakers each day for more. Quality of the furnishings was very high and walk in shower a great asset after long day on Hadrian wall. Would recommend it to other couples.
Our family of four stayed at Teviot Cottage over Easter whilst visiting relatives.
We LOVED the cottage. It is beautifully designed with a well tended garden. We felt relaxed and at home straight away. We especially liked the comfortable pillows and beds, particularly in the kids’ room. Emma and Darren were the perfect hosts - kind, friendly and very accommodating. Highly highly recommended.

From the well-equipped kitchen to the range of reading materials, the style and attention to detail are impeccable. Spotlessly clean and stylishly furnished, I felt incredibly relaxed and warmly welcome from the minute I arrived. Corbridge is a beautiful village with a fabulous range of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants and my week here flew by. So much to do and see in this area, I could have stayed on for another week and still not have tired of it. Thank you so much, I had a super holiday and would re-visit in a flash!

Darren the owner is a genuinely nice chap who was able to recommend some excellent places to eat and visit . The cottage was extremely clean and comfortable. Corbridge has excellent facilities - brilliant pubs and curry house . Chip shop was excellent too. Well placed for visiting the coast and local attractions. All in all highly recommended.
