    “We had a delightful stay in a beautifully appointed house.”

    The standards of furnishings are high and there are plenty of bowls, pans etc which so often are lacking. The only slight niggle is the heating. The owner has decided when the radiators should come on and that doesn’t always suit. The weather was cold and we had a small baby so we needed warmth at different times to the programmed radiators. One shouldn’t really have to feel cold when on holiday and initially we did. I’m afraid I did alter some of the heating programmes contra to ...

With glorious uninterrupted views over the fields to the coast and the Farne Islands, there are fabulous walks located on your doorstep. Ideal also for cyclists with its secure storage shed. South View is perfectly positioned in Elford, a hamlet on the outskirts of Bamburgh, with the Heritage Coast approx. a mile and a half away. Perfect for families or groups of friends looking for outstanding, bright, airy, spacious accommodation, encompassing Karndean flooring, sophisticated lighting, tasteful artwork, lovely linens and soft furnishings. A fully equipped well designed kitchen allows cooks to prepare a feast in a desirable open plan layout including dining area and vaulted lounge with even more Wow factor views. A large alcove fireplace with wood burning stove welcomes you into the second lounge with plump comfy sofas and chairs. A bustling, pretty fishing village with an attractive harbour, situated on the beautiful Northumbrian coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Seahouses offers a variety of shops and a good selection of inns, pubs and eating places. Nearby are miles and miles of splendid sandy beaches and the opportunity to visit the bird sanctuary or seal colony on the famous Farne Islands with boat trips running daily from Seahouses, is not to be missed. There are numerous castles and great houses to explore, such as the magnificent castles at Bamburgh, Cragside, and Alnwick (home of the Duke of Northumberland), to mention just a few. Golf, fishing and riding are also available locally.
