Manor House

Thank you both for another week in your beautiful cottages, having stayed in both of them l can honestly say we all had a wonderful stay, everything we needed was there, and comfortable.

Having our grandson with us was great he was well catered for and he loved the baby toys. The views were amazing and so peaceful, the location was ideal, Northumberland is such a lovely place. Hope we can return soon, thanking you once again.

It's sometimes the little things that matter on a holiday like this.

Kitchen knive/s a variety for different uses. The kitchen cupboard with herbs and spices. The bathrooms with shampoo and body wash. The games for the children (and the adults!) The little decorative objet d'art, homely. I could go on but....I think you get the picture. This owner cares about her property, her customers and their enjoyment, what more do you need in this area of magnifcent countryside, rurality at its best!

Manor House was perfect for us, plenty of room for ten people, clean, very comfortable, very well equipped and close enough to the lovely beaches for our days out.

Manor house was superb accommodation, clean and incredibly comfortable with beautiful views from the balcony of Warkworth Castle and the sea.

Everything you could need was provided and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Plenty of indoor and outside space for the whole family to relax and enjoy the wonderful ambiance of this property. I would highly recommend.

We had a lovely weekend at Manor House and the property was first class.

Angie and Frank, the owners, met us on arrival to show us around. Details like milk in the fridge, teabags, organic coffee for the cafetière, biscuits from Alnwick’s Barter Books, a super range of toys for the children and the superking beds make Manor House special. Coffee on the patio each morning looking across the fields to the coast and Warkworth Castle made for a most enjoyable start to the day. Parking for several cars, easy access to Warkworth and the A1 made for easy sightseeing along this beautiful stretch of coastline and inland. We will be back!

We had an amazing time at Manor House for my 60th with 3 generations .

It was perfect and we so loved the outdoor space It was so clean and loved with plenty of kitchen equipment for entertaining . The owner went above and beyond for us . Would definately recommend to anyone and really hope to visit again ❤️

Had a fabulous weekend at Manor House with family to celebrate my mum’s 85th birthday.

The property is situated in an idyllic location, where you feel like you’re in the countryside and can enjoy the peace and quiet and the nature (loved all the birds singing), but you are also really close to Warkworth and within a short driving distance of all the neighbouring villages. Manor House itself is fabulous, immaculately clean and feels like a home from home, with all amenities catered for, and was ideal for our group of 9. We were lucky with gorgeous weather the weekend we were there and the outside space is a joy to sit in. Wouldn’t hesitate to return, was a fabulous weekend.

Manor House is a lovely well maintained house, set in beautiful and peaceful surroundings.

We had a wonderful five night stay at Manor House.

Angie was a warm and welcoming host. The house is really lovely, great layout, and so well kitted out - great to have a holiday home with such extensive kitchen equipment and utensils! The beds are exceptionally comfy and there are high cleanliness standards throughout. There’s a lovely garden which our kids loved playing in. Warkworth itself is a beautiful little town - the beach is gorgeous and it’s so accessible for places like Amble and Alnmouth. Would highly recommend Manor House!

Very well equipped, immaculately presented - could not find fault! Congratulations to the owners for an outstanding house and the warm welcome was much appreciated. One slight negative was the requirement to lodge a housekeeping deposit by way of bank transfer 7 days prior - surely this could be handled by a credit card deposit that could be used if necessary. Also the return of the deposit should be made on departure, and not held for a further 7 days as the money does not belong to the hosts.

This is a delightful place to stay ,more like someone’s home than a bare cottage.

Facilities are excellent and has everything you need for a great stay.nine of us had a memorable stay . It’s positions great only a short drive from lots of wonderful places and beaches .Warkworth is a gem. The owners are very easy to communicate with and did everything to make our stay so good. If we ever return to Northumberland I would have no hesitation staying here again.

This is a delightful holiday home.

Every comfort has been thought about by the owners. The facilities are good and sparklingly clean. All the equipment you could possibly need is available in the kitchen, with the added bonus of 2 dishwashers! Outside there are many seating areas and a grass lawn for children to play on. There is lots to do in the area, but you have to be prepared to drive.

We had a wonderful stay at Manor House with our children and grandchildren who had traveled from Australia and Canada to celebrate our Emerald Wedding Anniversary.

Manor House was perfect for the 9 of us and it was one of the best houses we have stayed in. It was ideally situated for castles and beaches and the house itself was very spacious and immaculate. Angie was very helpful and her communication was excellent. We would love to stay there again in the future.

Angie welcomed us, which was nice, and explained everything clearly.

The bedrooms were very nicely furnished and the main living area was a huge space for coming together as a family. The kitchen was well equipped and the provision of toys was a godsend for the three young children we had in the party. Complaints? None. The bathroom situation was made crystal clear on the website, so the lack of a third shower was a small sacrifice for such a lovely house.

We had a wonderful holiday at Manor House.

It has to be the cleanest most well equipped holiday home we have ever stayed in with the most comfortable beds! The views are stunning and we loved watching the Hares in the field opposite. The owner of the property, Angie is lovely nothing is too much trouble and she made us feel really welcome. Northumberland is beautiful, we had some great days out at Warkworth castle, Alnwick and Bamburgh castle, walks on stunning beaches and a fabulous day in Seahouses. We also went to Northumberland zoo and had a fabulous day there. Would definitely recommend a stay at Manor House.

Our family from age 2 to 72 had a wonderful stay at the Manot House.

The place was immaculate and spacious.It had everything we needed.The 2 year old enjoyed playing with the toys,the dining table could accommodate us all easily and the luxury kitchen had lots of space and dishes etc.The best was the outside space .A large decking with comfy seating for all and stunning views of the sea,castle and island yet set in quiet countryside. Other places to sit with tables and chairs in lovely garden and a lawn for the children to play football. About a mile to Warkworth's beautiful beach and the village is lovely.Special thanks to the owner who met us and explained house to us and gave advice about shops,activities etc.Also easy to contact if we needed anything,though we didn't. Highly recommend this beautiful place. Lovely place to visit was Cragside and Alnwick castle and the young families visited and enjoyed Whitehouse Farm,Norththumberland Zoo and Belsey Hall.

A lovely bungalow, very well appointed and spacious enough to accommodate our large family group of 3 generations - 2 years to 70+.

An ideal base for exploring the beautiful coastline and historic sites of Northumberland. Delightfully quiet setting, with beautiful views towards Warkworth Castle and the coast beyond. We enjoyed watching the deer and hares that visited the field infront of the house and listening to, and watching the birds. The owner was very helpful, both before an during our stay and most welcoming on the day we arrived, as she showed us around. We had a lovely week, despite some wet weather, and can certainly recommend Manor House .

We had a fantastic time at Manor House.

We stayed with our children and their families (10 of us in total - including 4 children under 4 years). The location was wonderfully tranquil and while a couple of miles outside Warkworth, was an ideal location for exploring Northumberland. Angie was an exceptional host who went out of her was to meet us on arrival and turn-up to say goodbye ... as well as checking-in that everything was OK on a couple of occasions. I would certainly recommend Manor House to any large families wishing to spend time together in wonderful accommodation while visiting a stunning part of the country. We certainly hope to return ... Lovely house, very clean and had everything we needed for our stay with parents and children.

We loved sitting on the decked area listening to the birds in the mornings and being able to see the sea and lighthouse in the distance. Owners were very helpful and responsive to any communication. Warkworth centre is very pretty with a stone bridge and river running through it, we can recommend Bertrams cafe and visiting the castle. Northumberland is captivating and we hope to return in the near future.

The perfect house for a 3 generation family holiday.

Everything was spotlessly clean and well maintained inside and out. Angie was most attentive and welcoming. The Northumberland area had so much to offer for every member of the family. We would thoroughly recommend.

Property is extremely spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean.

There is everything you could possibly need to use in the kitchen, by far the best I’ve stayed at and we rent large house often for family breaks. We were a party aged 4 month to 70 years old and we were all fully catered for, even down to toys indoor and outdoor, happy kids result in relaxing stay for all. Gardens round the house very well kept. Manor House is in a beautiful part of the country with amazing beaches and bays close at hand. Finally Angie and Frank the owners were so helpful, and contactable at all times just incase we needed any help or assistance throughout our stay. Thanks again we will definitely be having a return visit.

It’s skilfully arranged, large open plan setting is very comfortable and well equipped. The wood burner gives the main area a warm and cosy feeling. A very comfortable stay in a quiet area but with good access to some lovely parts of Northumberland.

The friendly and helpful owner provided excellent information before our visit and on arrival. The house is well equipped and has lovely outside seating areas. Windows in the open plan area overlook fields to Warkworth Castle and the sea beyond. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful place to stay!

The owners Angie & Frank are so welcoming and helpful. Nothing had not been thought of or provided to maximise the enjoyment of our stay. The cottage is set in such peaceful surroundings and beautifully decorated inside. After a 5 hr drive we were welcomed by Angie who showed us around the cottage, the welcome pack is really useful. Her personal touches of the welcome basket complete with cold milk in the fridge and a loaf of fresh bread really made for a warm welcome to Northumberland and the start of our holiday. Sitting out on the patio watching the birds coming and going while eating breakfast was a great way to start the day and enjoying watching the bats feed around us of an evening was so lovely. The cottage is clean, modern with comfortable rooms & beds. There is WiFi at the cottage and so the kids & teenagers were all kept happy. The cottage has a lovely kitchen to cook up lovely family meals and we used the brick BBQ outside one evening. The garden is beautiful as well. If you're looking for somewhere to use as a base to explore the local Northumberland area then I absolutely cannot recommend staying at Manor House enough! Nothing is too much trouble and any query or question we had was responded to by Angie quickly in a friendly manner. Manor House is a real gem in the crown of cottages!

We had a wonderful week here, set near to the most amazing beaches (and a load of castles!

) for a big family get together. The accommodation was excellent, with so much useful equipment provided, even down to a great selection of children's toys and games thanks to our thoughtful hosts who also gave us excellent local tips. It was extremely comfortable, and practical too! We loved the outside seating all around the property so we could follow the sun, but the large high decked area with magnificent views to Coquet Island and so many seating options was a winner!

A fabulous cottage with beautiful views.

Everything you need is there from cocktail shakers and glasses to slow cookers. A real home from home. The lounge space is amazing so everyone can be together in one area for cooking, eating and relaxing. Lovely outdoor space as well and there was even a garden out the back that we weren’t aware of. Walked into nearest village about 45 minutes but lots of other lovely places a short drive away. Would definitely return to this cottage and recommend it to others.

Fantastic open plan living area which was great for cooking in the well equipped kitchen whist still socialising with the other guests. Owners greeted us on arrival to explain everything, which was good, and they were very accommodating when we awoke to a flat tyre on leaving day!

We really appreciated the stunning location with views of sea, lighthouse and Castle.

It was great to have plenty of room in the property to move around, to sit together as a family but also to have one's own space when required. Lovely to have more than one outdoor space where we could all sit together.

Manor House is a beautiful, spacious and well equipped bungalow (although there are steps up to the front door) with lovely views.

You can see Warkworth Castle, Coquet Island and the sea across the fields. Angie was there to welcome us and was really kind and helpful before, during and after our stay. She and Frank have made Manor House a delightful place to stay and had left a welcome basket with wine and snacks etc., even though the website had warned that these touches might be missing this year due to covid-19.There was actually nothing missing, except perhaps a few more teaspoons! :-) We would highly recommend Manor House.

We loved the house, how clean and attractive they it was.

It was very suitable for our family get together for my 60th Birthday celebrations. Our baby grandson was with us too and we all had an amazing time .

Manor House had everything we needed and more. We were welcomed warmly by the owner on the day of arrival and she was so helpful and accommodating, showing us around the house, telling us where to go for amazing days out, where the hidden gems were (eg. The ice cream parlour ), great beaches etc. We were also provided with a lovely welcome package of wine, chocolates, bread, milk and other goodies which just adds to the whole experience of higher end accommodation. The outside space was great too, with luxury wicker seating with cushions provided overlooking fields and you could see right out to sea.The bbq area was great too. Unfortunately, the week we stayed wasn’t the best weather wise, we had torrential rain for the first couple of days, but because the house is so nicely laid out, we enjoyed watching dvds, playing board games (that were provided), and spending a few lazy days in. There are a few nice beaches just a short drive away and Warkworth castle is worth a visit too. Great house in a lovely location, perfect for large families. Can’t wait to visit again.

This lovely property was the perfect setting for our family holiday.

From Manor House we were able to make a memorable visit to Lindisfarne; a perfect day filled with thousands of butterflies, wildlife (including a stoat) and Gertrude Jekyll's wonderful garden. It is also well placed for all of the castles and wild beaches on the Northumberland coast.

there were 6 of us on a cycling holiday the property was ideal as it is a very interesting area with plenty to see and do the owner allowed us to use the large garage to store our bikes. the property also has a number of outside seating areas which would be great if the weather was fine unfortunately it rained 5 days out the 7 we were there.

Manor House was absolutely stunning, all of us absolutely loved our stay there.

Angie had thought about everything and the quality of everything from the comfiness of the beds to the pillows and the facilities in the kitchen, everything was spot on. Sitting on the decking outside with a cup of tea and looking across the countryside with Warkworth Castle and the sea in the distance was an absolute treat. On arrival it was clean, tidy and very welcoming, Angie's communication in the run up was fantastic and we all felt very welcome and informed as to how to get there and what facilities would be available. We all agreed that we would 100% come back so 8 very happy guests!

Highly recommended, family of 3 generations lived the place - everything you need is there, great location , view across to the castle and island are great.

My wife commented how nice it would be in the summer, sat on the decking with a beer relaxing and enjoying the views. Superb communications with the owner. Close to a very good Parkrun :-) Next time we stay in the area would definitely rebook.

Manor house is a perfect place for relaxing family vacation.

It is situated roughly about 10 min drive from town. The views from this house is amazing. Angie & Frank both are very friendly and helpful. The information pack has all the necessary information and small details are well taken care of (like games for children and amazon fire sticks are provided.) All in all it was an excellent vacation and thanks to sykes and Owners for this.

Everything in the house was perfect! And the view! Fields, and the Sea beyond, absolutely stunning. So peaceful. Owner brilliant. Thoroughly recommend this house.
