A lovely and well equipped cottage.

Set in an excellent location for exploring the surrounding areas. The welcome pack is a lovely gesture and very much appreciated. Looking forward to returning next year.

Cottage was comfortable and clean, with all the facilities I wanted.

Have been many times to Rose Cottage it’s always very clean , we really love it and have already booked for 2027 .

Our present dog can’t be let off the lead so it’s great that there is a secure dog field 5 mins away . Also love walking in Thrunton Woods again close by . Cragside allow dogs in the gardens and Alnwick gardens allow dogs one day a week The cottage has everything you need and a super king size bed which is really comfortable.

Lovely cottage and perfect for a couple and their doggy family.

Great location for visiting Chillingham, Alnwick, Bamburgh and Cragside, which are all amazing. Alnwick very close and had everything we needed. The cottage is in a busy crossroads but you couldn't tell, and the views from all the windows and doors are lovely. We had a lovely week and would happily stay there again.

Really lovely little cottage.

Great location a short drive to lots of lovely locations, nearest pub and shop 4 miles away. The cottage had everything we needed, really comfortable super king bed and great bath/ shower. Good selection of dvds for a rainy day, The only thing missing was an outdoor tap to wash the dog . We would definitely book again.

Loved this cosy cottage.

It had everything that we needed and was very clean. Very quiet beautiful views - lovely sunset from the sofa too! My only small comment is that our spaniel didn't really like the cobbles in the courtyard. Thanks

The perfect cottage for the two of us and dog.

Only thing missing was a couple of chairs in the bedroom to put our clothes on The cottage was very clean.

From the moment we walked in felt homely. Lovely gift pack left by the owners. Decoration very tasteful, cleanliness couldn't find anything wrong.. The furniture comfortable, the bed a lovely 6' bed, good quality bedding. We would go again

Nice accommodation & everything you need for a self catering vacation.

Outside area is nothing like the pics though & my dog really didn't like the stones. The stones in the pic have been replaced by stones like a pebbly beach. The back area by the bins is very dirty & needs addressing. The bed is amazing & over all had a comfortable stay but would probably book somewhere closer to Alnwick if I ever returned. It is extremely close to a busy road & felt quite isolated. Thank you for the goodies! Much appreciated

Arrived on the Sunday, first impression very clean but small maybe with 4 dogs too small, nice thought welcome pack, fridge small if bringing food, could do with baking trays for oven and maybe condiments, nice bathroom and large comfy bed, we new the area from previous visits but still found new places to visit and the weather was on our side dry and sunny, the dogs had their legs walked off on the lovely beaches, can't wait to return

The cottage was very well equipped and was warm and cosy.

The situation near the road was not a problem as the double glazing was excellent. The situation for exploring Northumberland was very good. Th only down side was the size of the stones in the garden which was hard to walk on for people and dogs. Will definitely return in the future as it has everything you need in a holiday cottage.

This is a lovely cottage and perfect location to explore either the coast or inland.

The welcome parcel was a wonderful addition. The outdoor space was great for our dogs too. Highly recommend and we will definitely go back.

Only thing that wasn't mentioned was that it's on a busy main road and we had to keep curtains closed for privacy.

A lovely Cottage was not quite aware of how close the road was.

The pebbles were a bit of a challenge, otherwise a pleasant stay .

We had a super week at Rose Cottage.

It was warm and comfortable, well equipped and well located on a crossroads for easy access to many places of interest. The kitchen appliances were all new and efficient and easy to use. The enclosed outside space was great for the dog. It was also good to have designated parking. The smart tv was a good bonus festure that allowed us to sign in and relax with a movie in the evening. Good local information provided. We would have liked a chair in the bedroom but that was really negligible to our enjoyment of the week.

This is our second stay at this lovely cottage and it won’t be the last.

We had a lovely stay at Rose Cottage.

It was comfortable, clean and in a good location for exploring. The bed was really comfortable and the shower was great. Only a couple of minor negatives would be the gravel in the back yard. Our dog wasn't comfortable walking on it at all. The only other thing being a lack of a few kitchen items like baking trays, only one oven mitt etc. Other than that, it was great. We'd happily book again for our next trip up to Northumberland.

A lovely little warm & cosy cottage.

Well placed for visits to Cragside & all our favourite beaches. Luxury decor & a huge comfy bed. Amazing waterfall shower. The only improvement in the bathroom would be a hook near the sink for a hand towels. The owners provide bath towels & bath sheets. The cottage’s central heating is easily controlled from a hand held thermostat. The kitchen equipment is adequate but lacks basics like oven trays & a grill pan. Outside be careful with your dogs if they can jump as one side of the garden the fence is only around 4ft. Would return.

Lovely cottage ,very comfortable especially the bed , didn't realise it was near a very busy road but in the end didn't bother us , my only comment is outside the large pebbles you have in the back garden the dogs didn't like them under their feet would have been better with small gravel also and outside tap would have been useful to wash down dogs

Very well appointed and very clean cottage with a lovely welcoming pack, this was very much appreciated.

The cottage had everything you need, including a very comfortable large bed. It is a great base for exploring Northumbria but it would be difficult to spend a whole day at the cottage relaxing due to traffic noise in the garden, sofa not being comfortable to sit on for any length or time and the living room being dark. Overall, we had a lovely 7 days exploring the area.

Just had another lovely week in Rose Cottage.

Nothing to fault, a perfect little cottage that ticks all the boxes. We’ve booked twice for next year, can’t wait!!

A lovely little cottage, with a wonderfully comfortable super kingsize bed.

It has everything you need, including a hairdryer. The fenced garden is secure if you have small dogs. It is approximately 4ft high. We enjoyed our stay at Rose Cottage and found it an ideal base from which to explore in land and the coast.

This cottage is below the Sykes standards for cleaning the door frames were filthy, pipework in bathroom full of dirt, stairs need a full clean, fire guard needs proper clean at bottom not just caught when floor mopped?

Only ONE silicone oven glove is no good when two hands required to lift items out? This cottage is not fully equiped with only two LARGE wine glasses, no oven trays. Window frames need a good clean between the glazing units (dead flies and bugs) and roof lights need a clean.

Good location. Stoned garden was rather uncomfortable underfoot. For us and dog, dog usually likes to be in garden but only went out there on our way out for our days out. Although on a main road was not noisy.good to have your own parking space.

The cottage is clean and comfortable with everything you need to make your stay enjoyable.

The cottage is very dog friendly but is so clean that anyone without a dog would be happy.

I travel with dogs so my whole focus is whether places are suitable. The garden at Rose Cottage is secure and the bit between the garden and parking is also secure - added peace of mind. For humans there is everything you could want. It is well equipped, very warm, and cosy. A friendly welcome from the neighbours, too. Not sure the place could be improved upon. Alnwick Castle was closed but I visited Bamburgh Castle. Well worth a visit with, again, dog friendly grounds and super helpful staff.

Hi this is Gail Pattinson we have left Rose Cottage early, the house itself is lovely however the garden area does not reflect how it looks in the sykes app.

The whole of the garden is in disrepair gravel is sparse, the signage has rusted and fallen on the ground, the furniture is different to what is in the sykes photos, the chairs and table is a bistro set totally filthy been left out in all the elements, solar garden lights broken, do not work and just add to the mess, the white cupboard, mirrors etc are all dirty and thick with mould, bird bath is broken, even the little white sink. Everything is just totally unkempt. We booked the cottage for 2 reasons a lovely place to stay and a garden to sit out in after our walks with the dogs. We could not sit in the garden area the way it looked it was awful, we are very dissapointed

This is an excellent little cottage, especially for a winter break.

It was lovely, comfortable and cosy; and well equipped. It is well located for travelling around the area. We had a great week. Two things to feed back... We couldn't find the parking disc. Fortunately we have a disc, albeit a Cumbrian one! We think the lighting could be enhanced by having a lamp at the door end of the sofa.

Our first stay here and really enjoyed.

The cottage was very cosy and well equipped lovely welcome pack thank you. Very convenient to lots of places to visit especially the coast with our dog. Will definitely look to staying here again was a welcome break in January to give the feel good factor after Christmas.

It was very well equipped with everything we needed and the bed was so comfortable. We didn’t hear any noise from the main road. This was our first time to Northumberland and it’s not our last as we have booked the cottage for next year. We would highly recommend this cottage

The inside of the cottage lived up to our expectations.

Excellent quality of fixtures and fittings . However compared to the online photographs of the garden, it was very disappointing. It definitely needs upgrading, or the photographs need to show its current condition.

Fourth stay at Rose Cottage.

As always, a great place to stay but I felt a bit disappointed about certain aspects of the accommodation. Lovely welcome pack, thank you! Amazing bed and facilities are good. However, the sofa was not very comfortable, mainly due to the foot rest being impossible to raise on one side. The dishwasher was full on arrival. There was no detergent for the washer and there was only one replacement bin liner for the bathroom bin. These issues did not seriously affect the holiday but might affect my inclination to book again. On another issue, I stayed at the cottage in December 2023 and was contacted by the owner to say someone might be coming to look at the garden/outside area with a view to making improvements. I was pleased to hear this as it already looked different from the original photos on the website (now tired and unkempt) and so booked to come back this summer, partly on the back of this. I was excited to see the improvements, however, I was disappointed to see there were none. There is no barbecue (as advertised), the area needs weeding, and the garden furniture needs cleaning. In short, for summer customers, it needs to be improved. Off peak, this cottage is great value for money, and the location is great for exploring the coast and countryside of Northumberland. At full price, in peak season, it could benefit from improvements.

We had a lovely time, very relaxing it just went by so quickly it seemed we had just arrived and then it was time to pack up and leave.

I will recommend to my family and friends. Lovely little cottage with lots of lovely walks. Thank you so much for the welcome pack and the bed is huge and really comfortable.

What a lovely little cottage, wonderfully positioned to visit places like Holy Island, Seahouses, Embleton plus many more including the Northumberland National Park wh8ch was stunning!

A charming and comfortable cottage with all required for a stay away from home.

Well appointed with new equipment and facilities. Immaculately clean which is a credit to the owners/managers. The cottage is well situated for visiting the many attractions in beautiful Northumberland being sited on a main route. My dog and I had a lovely time.

All i can say is what an amazing little cottage, as soon as you walked in it was warm and cosy and smelt so clean and was absolutely spotless.

There was even wine chocolates and coffee waiting for us, everything was to the highest standard right down to the towels. We had such a fab time we have booked again for next year, can't wait to go back. It was central lots of little places, we would highly recommend this lovely cottage.

Extremely clean and very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the week here. The cottage is on a cross road of 2 main roads and despite triple glazing u can still hear traffic noise although after full days put it didn't interrupt our sleep. Its an ideal location for exploring the surrounding area.

They couldn’t be any more helpful. A great location for so many walks & places to eat. We have already booked for 2025 which will be our third visit.

We had a brilliant stay at rose cottage couple & 4 dogs.

All lovely & clean with all kitchen appliances and crockery you need, unexpectedly cleaning stuff and loo rolls etc were supplied. The heating went off we contacted owner he was there within 30 minutes and fixed it we couldn’t ask for better than that. Bed really large & comfortable.

A lovely cottage very local to attractions.

It was great for sightseeing with our dog who loved our stay also. The cottage was warm, cosy, well equipped and just a lovely place to stay. The wine and chocolates on arrival were a wonderful touch. I have nothing bad to say about our stay.

Excellent place to stay, loved every minute, the only thing that I think may improve the cottage is maybe a little porch over the door so as you went in and out the rain didn't go straight in, we went in oct/Nov so it was a bit wet and windy but what an amazing place to stay.

Upon arrival the owner said they would be returning to fix the broken spring on the settee and install a new door lock to meet safety regulations (the lock was also broken making it hard to shut and open door) but they didn’t bother to.

There were no facilities to wash dogs outside the house which would have been useful. Overall a good location for exploring area and well presented - however it is on a busy main road.

The cottage was lovely and cozy and we settled in quickly by the log burner, shielding from Storm Babet with a complimentary glass of red wine and a box of chocolates.

Everywhere was very clean and well-appointed and easily be a location for a longer stay. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean with a lovely power shower. The owner was so helpful and could not do enough for us, which made the short break that extra special. We really enjoyed our stay.

A cosy home from home, well equipped and well situated for outings to beaches castles and much more.

We enjoyed the peace and quiet even though it is on a main road. The fenced in garden area was enjoyed by the dogs and we weee safe in the knowledge they could not escape and even if they had there are gates on and off the property. We had a very enjoyable week and will be sure to return as there is so much more to discover.

Lovely touches of welcome pack. Also, well stocked with essentials, hand soap, washing-up liquid, toilet rolls, washing capsules, kitchen towel. Bowel for dog's water supplied. Hair Dryer, not listed but was supplied. No list, of can and can't do. Yay! Definitely dog friendly. Garden was secure, only downside, the dogs didn't like walking on the gravel.

An absolute gem of a cottage.

We felt at home as soon as we walked into this tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean cottage. There was everything that we needed to make our stay as pleasant as possible including the hugest bed ever - which is so comfortable that I slept like a log every night. Rose cottage is situated in a beautiful part of Northumberland with walks from the door for those taking their dogs. We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay and I have to confess to shedding a tear or two on leaving this wonderful place.

The perfect getaway with our 3 dogs, our break started with a wonderful welcome pack.

The house itself was spotless and equipped with everything we needed, modern, comfortable and warm. It had a secure garden for the dogs and a pleasing outlook. All this topped off by only a short drive to a number of stunning walks and great restaurants. We look forward to returning.

The bed was so comfortable and the shower was hot and powerful not just the usual trickle.Very dog friendly and flooring etc. was ideal for muddy paws.

The cottage is cosy, comfortable, clean, well maintained, well equipped, amazing bed, dog friendly and in a perfect location for exploring the surrounding area. It is so peaceful of an evening, with amazing starry skies. The mornings bring the sounds of the birds. The lounge window looking out to the cows is lovely too. There really isn’t anything not to like. We met the owner on arrival as we were a little early, so 4pm really is the check in time! Highly recommend!

Fantastic week away, Rose cottage was amazing, warm comfortable and cleanas I was Christmas they decorated the cottage and the welcome pack was out of this world.

Ideally situated for us to explore Northumberland. One thing I'd like to add, but I didn't affect our stay in any way, is the fact there was no mention of the property being so close to a main road in the sykes cottages page, maybe this is something that could be rectified. All in all I would recommend this cottage to everyone

What a wonderful stay in an AMAZING location.

Everything was taken care of from fantastic gifts on arrival to have replacement glass brought to us through the snow for the wood burning stove. The owners could not done more for us. The property was clean tidy and well kept. We will be back and thank you so much.

Facilities, cleanliness and comfort very good. Great location for exploring Coast and National Park.

We loved the cottage, it was well appointed and very cosy.

We appreciated the triple glazing due to the road being quite busy. It worked well for us. The only down side was there was no chest of drawers in the bedroom and a coffee table would have been good in the sitting room.

Very happy with everything, cottage was immaculately clean, had everything we needed and massive, comfortable bed.

The cottage is ideally situated between Alnwick and Rothbury, great for visiting Cragside. Enclosed garden with four foot fence, great for our small dog. Only one (very small) consideration for improvement: every other cottage that we have stayed at provided a pint of milk on arrival. Not a massive gripe (the wine was very much appreciated) but we specifically didn't bring a bottle of milk as it's always been provided before.

A lovely well-appointed property situated perfectly for exploring the area.

It made a change to stay at a pets-welcome property that wasn't scruffy or tired. The attention to detail is lovely. We knew it was on a main junction from both the description and the map, so don't understand why anyone would say the proximity to the road was unexpected. Also, the windows are triple-glazed. Parking was a little higgeldy piggeldy when others were coming in or out at the same time, but the designated parking bay is clear and secure, plus the gate provided extra safety for the dog with the road. Our only disappointment was the shower/bath. There are no grab rails for safety, the bath is very deep for stepping in and out of, and running a bath is a challenge as the shower screen and door are in the way. We had to prop the door open and then couldn't reach the taps without stepping into the bath. Also, no grab rails on the bath either so a struggle to get up. But we had a lovely, quiet stay, and would recommend to others with pets. (We took a cat and a dog.)

We had a lovely stay at Rose Cottage.

Despite being only a one bedroom property there was ample space for us and our 4 dogs. The cottage was very nicely furnished, very clean, very comfortable and a very generous welcome package greeted us, as well as a generous amount of loo rolls and wood for the stove. The cottage was well located allow us to explore inland as well as heading to numerous beaches. We would definitely stay again.

One of the best properties I have ever stayed in.

Absolutely fabulous in every way. Extremely nice owners who will do anything to help. Beautiful location with easy access to Rothbury and Alnwick. I would highly recommend Rose Cottage.

Rose cottage is well situated to explore the beautiful beaches and history that Northumberland offers.

The cottage is well equipped for all your needs, it is clean, tidy and very comfortable and has the added bonus of a log fire when required. Plenty of dog walks within a few minutes of the cottage. The owner Ian, is extremely pleasant and has a wealth of knowledge for places of interest. My wife and me and two dogs enjoyed an excellent stay.

Everything was as advertised absolutely spot on And we couldn’t have had a better experience even the weather cooperated.

What a fantastic , beautiful, well equipped cottage. High end finishes throughout. A massive comfy bed with lovely linen and big fluffy towels. When we arrived the power was off due to a storm. The owners could not do enough for us from offering to pay for a meal at a local pub and move us to another house. The neighbours were so lovely and came round offering help and candles! Fortunately the power came back on quickly and we didn’t have to move. The cottage was spotlessly clean and no hint of any dog smells. The garden was really secure for the dogs. Ideally situated for lots of local beaches, Alnwick very close and if you have a National Trust card Cragside house is only 3 miles from the house. Lots of local dog walks nearby. The road was no issue at all and we slept soundly every night and it’s so dark you can see all the stars. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise too!. We have had a fantastic week away and will definitely return.

Fantastic few days to relax plenty things close by to to keep yourself occupied with plenty information to hand in cottage, as well as good selection of DVDS if bored.

Small but totally sufficient for two!

The cottage was in a quiet location and ideally situated for exploring.

It was comfortable, clean & well equipped. Perfect for 2 adults & 3 dogs. Would definitely recommend and would go back again.

Ideal for dog walking. We had too take our dog to the vets while there and the care from Cheviot Vets was excellent. The two vets a Ruth and Lizzie was outstanding, and Ben made a full recovery. No issues. Thank you, Trevor Ayre

Good location for Cragside (National Trust) and Alnwick and within an hour’s drive of the coast.

We had a wonderful boat trip to see seals and seabirds on the Farne Islands. The owners thoughtfully provided information about local walks, the tides for Holy Island, and a lovely welcome pack including a parking disc! The bed is huge and comfy but the chest of drawers in the photo had been removed and we missed it! The shower was efficient, and we appreciated the non- slip mat provided but the washbasin is slow to empty. The one thing we really missed was a teapot!

The cottage was beautiful and in a quiet place, there was a bit of road noise but this didn’t bother us.

The bed was massive and pillows perfect, best nights sleep for ages, owners left a lovely welcome package. Overall a lovely relaxing stay and would stay again!

There’s everything you need here for a lovely holiday.

We were there for two weeks, and were supplied with fresh bedding, towels, bath mat, and tea towels after our first week. The previous comments about the busy road were, in my opinion, not called for. The cottage has triple glazing and this made the road very quiet. The cottage was as advertised, and very well kept, and clean. The welcome pack was above and beyond what we have normally received. There was milk, sugar, coffee, chocolates, and wine. If I had to be picky I would say that the sofa was not overly comfortable, but that would be the only tiny niggle to the two week stay, and I would be more than happy to stay again.

Our first time in the area, Rose cottage was perfectly located for exploring both woods and the fantastic beaches.

The cottage had everything we needed. The bedroom is very spacious with a comfy bed It has good wifi. The garden was a little smaller than looks on photos, it is enclosed so was fine for my 4 dogs. Lots of dog friendly places to eat nearby. Would highly recommend as would my dogs , we have already booked again for next year.

Rose Cottage was perfectly situated for us to explore the beautiful region of Northumberland.

The cottage had been carefully prepared for our stay and felt clean and fresh on our arrival. We had everything we needed for our week and was the ideal place to come home to in the evening. The weather helped of course with sunshine every day. We definitely would like to return to Rose Cottage.

Rose cottage is beautiful, very stylish and well equipped.

The location is perfect - a crossroads to Northumberland - making it easy to access tourist attractions such as Cragside, Alnwick Castle, Holy Island, Bamburgh Castle and also miles of wonderful sandy beaches. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Northumberland and will definitely be back next year! Pets are also very welcome, our two pooches had a wagtastic holiday too!

Beautiful little cottage with all home comforts.

Well set out with a lovely little garden. Good position for exploring all the delights of Northumberland. The owner was very helpful, telephoning before arrival to provide us with all the information we needed including local walks and good places to visit. Our first visit to Rose Cottage and Northumberland but not our last!!

Rose Cottage is a delightful, comfortable and well equipped cottage, ideally situated for touring around the Northumberland coast and countryside.

Lovely dog friendly beaches and excellent eateries in the area. The only drawback as far as we were concerned is the close proximity to an extremely busy road.

Great cottage everything you need for a week in Northumberland, we got a phone call from the owner (Ian) the week before we came to explain a few things which was really helpful.

The welcome pack was a nice touch, we hope to visit again in the future.

Rose Cottage is a lovely, clean , cosy cottage.

However, light sleepers need to be aware that the cottage is at a busy crossroads and that heavy traffic continues all day and at times through the night. This is not mentioned in the details of the cottage.

Lovely cosy cottage with a super kingsized bed!

Great welcolme pack. Excellent location near to forests and beaches. Slight downside -Traffic outside heavy and noisey and difficult to walk the dogs without going in a car first.

The cottage was clean and fresh upon entering.

The owners use of the space is well thought out. The new additions of the rug and new sofa helped keep the room vibrant and homely. A lovely welcome pack and a good stock of fire fuel added to this already beautiful cottage. Being so close to both Rothbury and Alnwick is useful for explorers and shopping, so to is the nearby Thrunton Woods. The road can be busy but with such noise cancelling windows you don’t notice, a great feature even when contending with the big log carrying wagons. We have been here 3 times and we will be back 3+ more!! The cottage, the area and the locals all combine to make this an ideal holiday accommodation.

We stayed at Rose Cottage in November (apologies for the late review) and had a fantastic time.

Our host was away on a trip at the time of our stay but made sure we knew he was available if ever we needed anything and was truly one of the most accommodating hosts we’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. The cottage itself has everything you need for a brilliant stay, though we did spend a lot of time exploring the lovely areas surrounding it. There’s some beautiful history just on your doorstep and some fantastic wanders to be had. We especially loved the castle ruins just a short stroll away from the cottage. Unfortunately our time at the cottage was cut short due to a emergency at home but we can’t wait to return, this time hopefully with our pup in tow who I know will love exploring with us! ~ Overall a wonderful experience made even more pleasant by an extremely accommodating owner. Thank you! ~

A lovely welcome to a warm cosy christmas decor cottage in the first week of december with a welcome gift box of goodies after a long travel on a cold winters night .

our 4 dogs loved the walks in the area and settled well with in the cottage on there own beds. The wonderful super king size bed was great, even think of buying one !!. Thank you will book again.

We had a fantastic time at Rose cottage and will be returning although it will be in the summer next time !

Absolutely beautiful cottage in a wonderful place.

The owner was really helpful giving lots of information about walks near the cottage. We will definitely book again , this has been our favourite cottage by far .

This cottage is exceptional, it’s very well kept and very well laid out, a great place to unwind.

It is located centrally so you can travel to all the great beaches and attractions. We had our 3 dogs with us , and they were very safe in the totally enclosed garden area to the front. The surrounding area was breathtaking and I would not hesitate to recommend this cottage whatsoever.

The cottage was absolutely amazing.

Having doggies you can never be sure of the quality of the accommodation but this cottage was so wonderfully clean and well presented that I would have no hesitation in recommended this as a holiday venue. The owner was so helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding areas, giving us wonderful advice and ideas. The welcome basket was lovely and the goat next door made us smile every day.

The cottage was very well appointed with a gigantic bed.

..you could sleep a family of four in it.There was plenty of crockery and utensils which made cooking just like being at home. The beaches near by were mostly dog friendly which was great for our 3 spaniels. They loved swimming and running along the coast.Plenty of lovely walks should we wish to not go water wise. Lovely holiday with temperatures of 20 and over every day which really helped.

Had a fantastic time, the cottage was lovely and in a fab place, only thing lacking was wi-fi, but we had a brilliant time, the dogs loved it and we will defo be back.

It was a lovely cottage and met all our needs and allowed five dogs to stay.

Rose cottage has definitely been by far, the best holiday property we have stayed at.

The enclosed garden was perfect for the dogs, and sitting out. The cottage itself was SO comfortable, both the sitting room and the bed. There was a fab welcome gift, as well as some free range fresh eggs, and two Easter eggs (didn’t have to share this year). The neighbors very helpful pointing us in the right direction for dog walking. Would recommend and would go back.

Rose cottage was an Excellant cottage very cosy and warm' the owners were very helpful and friendly and the standard of fixtures and fittings also the decor were really good.

The cottage is extremely well equipped with everything you need for your stay. Rose Cottage is in an ideal spot to explore the local area and there are lots of lovely places close by to walk our dog. The owners, Liz and Ian sent further information about the location etc just before the holiday with was extremely useful. There was a lovely little welcome pack for us too. A real gem of a find x

Absolutely fantastic little cottage in a great location!

Don't let the size put you off from booking - this place has been so well planned and thought out it has everything you need! It was perfect for us and our 4 dogs. The kitchen has all you need for cooking decent meals and plenty of room to prepare - we had a full cooked roast with ease! The sitting area is cosy and the log burner is a lovely treat after long days out walking and exploring. Upstairs the master bed is huge and extremely comfy within a lovely room and great bathroom too. Triple glazing throughout which helped with being next to the road, however we hardly noticed any traffic anyway. A gravel fenced garden was perfect for the dogs to mooch about in and allocated parking for two cars was convenient too. The owners went above and beyond our expectations to make us feel welcome and ensure we had a good stay. The welcome pack and ready supply of fuel for the fire was outstanding. Recommendations of local attractions and places to walk the dogs were given and we tried them all! We would 100% recommend Rose Cottage and will certainly be booking again! Thank you so much for making our holiday one to remember!

Small cosy cottage, very clean and extremely comfortable, super king sized bed was very welcoming after a days walking.

The owner is a very considerate man, who leaves a beautiful welcome pack. We would both highly recommend this cottage.

Every thing you need, very clean and cosy. Ideal for couples with dogs to relax, ideal little secure garden for your dogs to roam in without worrying. Lots off beaches and places to go walking. Hope to come again.

The owner was extremely helpful and phoned a few days before to check that we were still looking forward to going to Northumberland.

He emailed details of events in the area to us and made sure that we had his contact details In case we needed him for anything. He said it would be no trouble if we did contact him but as it happened we had no need to. Rose Cottage was the cleanest cottage that we have ever rented. Many thanks to Ian the owner.

Rose Cottage was a fabulous and extremely cosy cottage for a stay exploring Northumberland.

The location is perfect for exploring the moors, coast and local towns. The cottage was beautifully furnished, very comfortable and felt quite extravagant. The fire was perfect for the winter evenings, although we did have to turn off the heating in order to have the fire on, as the little cottage became like a sauna! There were excellent facilities provided in the kitchen, with a wonderful welcome pack of chocolates, milk, wine, fresh eggs from the owners chickens and some lovely coffee. We took our two dogs with us, and the little enclosed garden was perfect for them to snoof about in. The owners popped by the day we arrived to, very kindly, bring us some more firewood and coal, and recommended lots of dog friendly places to visit, and showed us how to use the heating. They were extremely friendly and accommodating. If I had to say something slightly negative, it would be the busy A road adjacent to the cottage was rather noisy in the mornings and the lorries rushing past woke us up - but it was nice to be up early and get out and do things! I would definitely return to Rose, and have already recommended the cottage to family and friends! Thank you for a lovely stay.

The garden area was great for the dogs to chill out as well. Whilst the proximity to the busy road is a slight drawback it is also makes it very easy to access the local facilities. Would definitely book again
