Maple Tree Cottage

Lovely relaxing cottage.

Every need and more had been thought about by the owner. Outstanding.

Everything we needed was at the cottage.

We did leave a message to say we had removed a load of dirt and leaves from the downspout drain as it was blocked at the bottom,and there was a large amount of rain dripping from above at the roof line. This may have been due to bracket/ fitting come loose or full of leaves so it could not run properly. We only found this out as it was raining heavy on that particular day when we came home to the cottage.

We had a great time away and the cottage had everything we wanted.

Including a comfortable bed, which is one of the most important things! Fantastic location and stunning countryside. Thanks

A superbly well appointed cottage which has been tastefully renovated.

Great rural location with a sun-trap garden and within walking distance of Longframlington and easy access to walking in the Northumberland park and beaches. Fabulous fish and chips from the Flying Fryer van on Tuesday. A superb stay - highly recommended.

Garden needs tyding up garden table a chairs dirty couldn’t open out house door keys dident seem to work hardly any hand cleaning liquid most bottles empty kitchen area needs brighten up as very dark in living room upstairs is very nice shame the rest wasent.

Garden not good for dogs to play in as to many slate chippings needs half grass this is my honest opinion

It’s a beautiful cottage set in an ideal location for visiting the local attractions. It was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Would definitely recommend.

The lovely garden is great for relaxing in the sun. Would 100% consider rebooking if I returned to Northumberland & would recommend this cottage to anyone thinking of booking it.

Lovely compact cottage serving as a great base for local attractions.

Parking was easy and the utility space provided an extra light room though we had no need to use it. The kitchen was well equiped, the seating ok though I never feel I comfortable on a leather sofa (seem to slide off!). At the time the dvd volume didn't work but I'm sure the owners will rectify as they seemed very responsive to feedback. After rainy days the hot shower was welcomed. A great stay not far from a lovely village where people are super friendly. We would certainly stay again

A nice cottage, well placed outside the village on a no-through-road, so quiet with little passing traffic.

The village is very pleasant with two pubs, a very classy cafe / deli / newsagent, and a good mini-supermarket, no need to leave the village for supplies. The footpath leading into the village was impassable. Cottage is well equipped, including garden and sun room. Generally very comfortable with everything required for a nice holiday. The only downside is the bathroom being downstairs - a bit 'inconvenient' in the middle of the night, and quite cramped, but adequate for a holiday.

We loved this property.

It's central to so much including the coast and the national park. The beds were comfy and all clean and comfortable throughout. Loved the personal touch of the owners emailing before we got there. Would recommend to all

Shame no upstairs toilet

Firstly the location - in the country but close to a village and good roads - absolutely suited us as we wanted to tour Northumberland in the day but have somewhere quiet and cosy to return to.

Ideal for Alnwick, Bamburgh, etc. The property was quaint and comfortable, with all the facilities we needed, quiet neighbours, and the 'outhouse' (laundry + sun lounge) was a great bonus for sunny late afternoons. Having the bathroom downstairs felt a little weird at first, but we quickly got used to it and it wasn't an issue. Had a great week and would definitely recommend.

What a pleasure it was to be able to have a morning cuppa in the 'out house' looking out over the fields and stables - it's a lovely, peaceful location, but just a stone's throw from the delightful village of Longframlington. The cottage was beautifully decorated and very well equipped. The garden was simply stunning, and full of birds, and we loved sitting in the garden just watching them (we were blessed with wall-to-wall sunshine that week!). We would return to this cottage in a heartbeat. Thank you for a wonderful week.

A lovely cottage in a beautiful setting, well located for visiting a range of historical sites.

The owners have put a lot of thought into making the cottage very homely and comfortable from excellent beds to providing a range of essential items. Highly recommended.
