    “Lovely cottage.”

    The enclosed garden was perfect for our dogs which was a huge plus. The cottage itself was comfortable and lovely and had everything one could need. There are enjoyable walks on the doorstep, and of course the splendid beaches of Embleton and Beadnell are just minutes drive away. Would definitely recommend this property. In fact, will probably rebook next year.

Cherry Tree Cottage is situated in the beautiful rural hamlet of West Fallodon, near Embleton approx 3 miles away, and is an idyllic family property great for visits to the countryside and coast of Northumberland. Be welcomed by the charming stone exterior of this cottage and settle down into a sitting/dining area where an open fire warms your feet as you enjoy getting cosy in the leather sofas with a cup of coffee. Throughout this space there are historic wooden roofbeams, adding character to this property, and you can enjoy a family games night or meal together at the dining table. The kitchen will cater to all of your culinary needs, housing many amenities and with tall ceilings adding an airy feel. Later on settle down in one of the two homely bedrooms, a double and a twin with an additional single bed. The pretty village of Embleton is ideally placed for exploring one of the most attractive stretches of Northumberland's Heritage Coastline. A beautiful grassy path runs from the village to neighbouring Craster, alongside the sea and past Dunstanburgh Castle - the largest ruined castle in Northumberland. Embleton itself has a village pub and a local hotel, and there is an excellent range of amenities in nearby Alnwick. The gardens at nearby Howick Hall are open during the summer and are noted for their beauty, whilst Alnwick Castle and Garden are a 'must-see' when visiting the area. For the keen golfer, Dunstanburgh Links Course is about 1 mile away - just one of several excellent courses in the vicinity.
