    “Treetops is a lovely flat, well-appointed and in a quiet area close to the town.”

    However, for a 'four tick' rating it was disappointing there were the following issues. None of the plugs in the bathrooms worked, water constantly drained away in both the baths and the basins. The chest of drawers in the 'middle' bedroom was virtually unusable as the drawers either opened only partially or not at all. The fridge was constantly iced on the back, possibly due to the door not fully closing. Instructions on how to use the television would be helpful, fortunately we had a tech ...

Instructions on how to use the television would be helpful, fortunately we had a tech savvy person with us who was able to sort it so we had access all channels.     Thanks for your feedback. We have asked the maintenance team to look at the plug issue. As regards the fridge we have recently had the door fixed so it is disappointing if this is still not closing properly but we will have it looked at again. We will also endeavour to fix the drawers in the chest in the middle bedroom and provide some better instructions for the TV. Property Owner

About the location

ALNWICK

Alnmouth 4 miles; Bamburgh 15 miles; Rothbury 10 miles.

The attractive and historic market town of Alnwick is dominated by Alnwick Castle, home to the Duke of Northumberland. The Castle Gardens, opened in 2002, are home to Europe's largest cascading water feature, a fabulous (and enormous) treehouse, a delightful rose garden and a beautiful, walled ornamental garden, which will delight novice and experienced gardeners alike. The castle is also famous as the setting for Hogwarts School featured in the Harry Potter films! The town's narrow streets have seen little change since the days when the London to Edinburgh stage coach passed through and the Market Place, with its stone cross, is still the central feature and the ideal venue for the weekly Saturday market. Alnwick offers a good selection of shops, pubs and places to eat and there is plenty to see and do, with miles of golden sandy beaches, numerous castles and boat trips to the famous Farne Islands all available nearby.
