“Snook point is a lovely cottage in a very quiet setting, great views and only a short walk to a sandy beach, lots of coastal walks.”

The cottage was as described, warm and cosy with everything we needed. Only slight complaint is that the mattress was not comfortable.

“Lovely cottage with everything we needed in the kitchen and elsewhere.”

We needed the heating on our last evening as the weather worsened and it was very efficient and cosy. The coal fire would be great in the colder months. The squeaky floor in the kitchen became a little annoying but it wouldn't stop us going back there. We think the owners must be very tall to reach the high kitchen cupboards! But we managed with the stepladder. The location was fabulous and we loved the peace and tranquillity in High Newton-by-the-sea. We met a couple of the neighbours who were friendly and very helpful.

“As soon as we drove up to Snook Point Cottage we knew were going to enjoy our stay.”

The cottage is well maintained, well equipped and comfortable. It is situated in a very quiet place but within easy walking distance from the sand dunes, a beautiful beach and the village pub. What more could you want? We will definitely be coming back.

Sadly I lost my dear wife Jill March ‘21. But I will continue returning. The cottage hasn’t changed too much over the years . And in some ways that’s why we loved it. Always clean. The setting perfect. Please stay the same Snookpoint.

The views from all sides are amazing. Good pubs within walking distance and easy pleasant walk to the beach. We loved it and have returned several times. Lots to do in the area.

“Snook Point Cottage was even better than we hoped.”

It is cosy, light and sunny, feels like you are on the edge of the world although actually in a small enclave of cottages (very quiet) and within a few minutes stroll of the village and lovely beach. Great sea views, and well equipped. We appreciated finding the heating on when we arrived on a chilly afternoon. Would definitely return - can't wait.

Snook Point Cottage is a delightful single storey cottage finished to a high standard and enjoys spectacular views over to the sea and to Beadnell Bay. A secluded sandy cove can be reached by public footpath over fields a few minutes walk away. There is a family friendly pub a few minutes walk away and the popular beach at Low Newton is nearby. The surrounding area is unspoilt countryside and the property is in an ideal position for touring coastal and inland Northumberland. ACCOMMODATION OVER ONE LEVEL (Ground) Entrance hall. Living room with open fire TV/ DVD and sea views. Kitchen/breakfast room with electric cooker, hob, fridge, microwave, freezer, window seats and sea views. Bedroom 1 with double bed. Bedroom 2 with bunk beds (childs) leading to Bedroom 3 Bedroom 3 with 2 single beds. Off Bedroom 2. Bathroom with bath, over shower, WC and basin. Washing machine. OTHER FACILITIES Large enclosed lawn garden, patio with furniture and built-in barbecue. Oil central heating. All power included in rental, fuel for fire, towels and bedding provided . The small coastal village of Newton is situated on Northumberland's Heritage Coastline between the popular fishing villages of Craster, famous for its kippers, and Beadnell. Beadnell Bay offers excellent sandy beaches and there are spectacular coastal paths with wonderful scenery. The village has a pub which serves food and the historic town of Alnwick is only a short drive away.
