    “We have just spent a lovely week at wayside cottage the property was lovely and warm, clean and tidy, beds were comfortable as were the sofas.”

    end of Nov so didn't really use the garden but it looked neat and tidy would be lovely on a summers day all in all a great property.

Wayside Cottage is a very comfortable, detached cottage situated in the village of High Newton, just half a miles walk from the beautiful sandy beach reached via a quiet country lane.

There is also a good pub in the village serving food and the cottage makes an ideal base from which to explore this outstanding stretch of the Northumberland coastline. GROUND FLOOR Living room with TV and wood burning stove. Dining room. Kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, fridge freezer and washing machine. FIRST FLOOR Bedroom 1 with double with en suite shower, WC and basin. Bedroom 2 with single bed and double bed. Bedroom 3 with bunk beds, small room suitable for children. Bathroom with bath, over shower, WC and basin.

OTHER FACILITIES Enclosed garden with garden furniture and barbecue.

All power, first basket of logs and bed linen included in rent.

NEWTON-BY-THE-SEA

Beadnell 3 miles; Craster 4 miles.

The small coastal village of Newton is situated on Northumberland's Heritage Coastline between the popular fishing villages of Craster, famous for its kippers, and Beadnell. Beadnell Bay offers excellent sandy beaches and there are spectacular coastal paths with wonderful scenery. The village has a pub which serves food and the historic town of Alnwick is only a short drive away.
