Really enjoyed our stay at West Farm.

The location is great for exploring the area and the cottage was very clean and comfortable. We will definitely book again if in the area.

An exceptional property - spacious, very clean, comfortably furnished, beautifully accessorised and supplied with every bit of kitchen/dining equipment anyone could wish for.

I loved the library feature wall in particular.

Within 10 mins of our arrival, we felt that west farm, would provide us the most amazing week, it is truly outstanding in every way ,Lizzy has has certainly worked her magic, and should be proud of her achievement, and we are so happy to have had a wonderful week sharing her wonderful accommodation.

She was lovely and made sure we had everything needed. The welcome homemade Victoria sponge cake was delicious. Well stocked with coffee, tea etc. Unfortunately the weather wasn't too good so all the games were a bonus. Lovely walks for the dogs. 5 min walk to local shop and pub.

Everything needed is provided. Great location for visiting places of interest and the sea side. Good walks for dogs and dog friendly pub nearby for sunday lunches and evening meals. Lovely garden with lots of plants and birds. Garden centre just down the road.Also dog friendly. The only downside was the strange noise when the heating came on.

West Farm Cottage is a lovely property in a great location for visiting the Northumberland coast and surrounding area.

It is spacious, beautifully furnished and equipped and very comfortable. We were visiting during a particularly cold and snowy time and the cottage was warm and cosy. The enclosed courtyard and garden made it perfect for our little dogs, who were also made welcome. Thank you Lizzie for a lovely stay, we would not hesitate to recommend West Farm Cottage.

We could not fault the accommodation it starts with the welcome pack when we arrived mince pies, biscuits, milk etc, even dog bites and poo bags.

Every thing you need is there. You will certainly find plenty of places to go. And the owner was on hand if needed she is no more than 2 minutes away All in all a lovely place to go certainly would consider going back. THANKS LIZZIE and SAM.

Beautiful spacious cottage warm and cosy, fully stocked with everything you could want.

Beds are large and comfortable. Large lawned garden fully enclosed for your dogs. Excellent welcome pack with the best sponge cake we have every had. Lizzie was always available if you needed anything. Plenty of room for parking although quite tight to get into if you have a SUV we found reversing in much easier. Thanks Lizze and Sam x

Convenient but nicely secluded.

Fabulous cottage with all modern appliances, warm and cosy.

The bedrooms are very spacious with super king size beds, only criticism is the TV in lounge needs to be bigger but apart from that we had a great stay in one of the nicest cottage’s we have stayed in. The fabulous welcome pack went down very well

A lovely well equipped cottage with a very comfy bed - one of the best cottages we have stayed in.

The welcome goodies were excellent especially the delicious home made Victoria sponge. Lizzy was available if we had any questions and came to see us even though we had arrived as storm Amy started. The only thing that we missed was a smart TV which would have been nice to watch in the evenings.

As others have already stated this cottage was excellent in every respect.

All furnishings and kitchen equipment were of very good quality, hot water always available. Well kept gardens and seating areas. We felt really comfortable and relaxed here. Very quiet but very good road links to all destinations we wanted to visit as far down as Durham and up to Berwick on Tweed. A wonderful holiday thank you.

The house is the most comfortable and well equipped holiday house we have stayed in.

The beds were absolutely superb. The lounge is carpeted (thank you!). The owners have thought of everything, to make your stay easier. In addition to providing the most generous hospitality pack EVER, they provided soap for all of the sinks; washing up liquid; hand towels for all of the bathrooms and the kitchen in addition to hand towels for each guest and a drying-up cloth; kitchen towel; toilet rolls; aluminium foil; freezer blocks; a hot water bottle; boardgames; masses of books to read; lots of music CD's. The house has a very useful porch, for leaving shoes and shopping bags and for hanging up coats. The hosts live very nearby and are brilliant at responding to messages. They are the most incredible hosts EVER.

West Farm Cottage is an absolute gem.

Located in a little village perfect for exploring the beautiful area of Northumberland. Private parking in a courtyard garden , which is in addition to a separate enclosed lawn garden. This made it perfect to take our dog. Courtyard is lovely to sit in and read a book listening to the birds. The property is so spacious and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Welcomed with a home made cake from Lizzy was so well received. I can find no fault with this property and would highly recommend you to book it .

Welcome pack included an amazing Victoria sponge and dog treats and Lizzy popped in to check all was ok and give some local recommendations. Great cottage, front enclosed lawned garden and rear enclosed private courtyard both with seating and caught the sun at different times of the day. Inside was amazing, everything you need, loved the stone floors, very dog friendly, beds very comfy, try to get the bedroom with the window in the roof, plenty of hot water, heating thermostat, large bath, lovely towels. Plenty of plates/ cutlery, coffee machine and cafeteria. Everything you need for a perfect stay. If you stand in the garden you get to see an amazing night sky and hear an Owl in the distance. Shoulder of mutton pub (recommended) and corner shop (closes early afternoon), fish and chip van on a Friday evening all an easy stroll away. Linden hall hotel has a pub/ bar also recommended. Quiet roads. Great base, we used Morpeth for food shopping and take aways, but travelled the whole coast up to Bamburgh/ Holy island across to Coldstream, Kielder and all the beaches, lovely seafood restaurants in Amble. Amazing week in a great cottage in an amazing part of the country.

This is the second time we've stayed and both times it has been wonderful. The kind welcome gifts were brilliant. We have had a full victoria sponge cake on both our stays, seriously they are the best cakes I have ever had in my life. I very much doubt any cake could match them. The cottage was very spacious and extremely well equipped; a perfect base from which to explore the area. The garden was perfect for our dog and the courtyard area was a real sun trap! Thank you for the very generous welcome pack - the cake was delicious!

There was a thoughtful welcome pack on our arrival. The cottage is decorated superbly with plenty of space, and our dog loved the enclosed garden. The cottage is in an ideal location to explore and there's great food and a warm welcome at local pub.

A return trip to this beautiful cottage, has everything we need, especially a secure garden for our dog to roam.

The host is great and extremely helpful, will be back next year hopefully.

Beautifull cottage.

.much bigger than the pictures make it appear..loverly safe enclosed garden for our two borders..comfy beds and so warm and cosy...especially when you have both open fires going..xmas tree was a nice touch ( we stayed 30th Dec to 5th January)..we would love to return when weather is warmer and enjoy the courtyard..don't forget to feed the birds..cottage is a credit to you Lizzy..only gripe..would be nice to have a smart tv..i player and itv x e.t.c..apart from that it's wonderfull. *****.

The property was lovely decorated for Christmas and well equipped.In a lovely quiet location,open fires which give that cozy homely feeling. In a fabulous location which was ideal for us visiting family in Alnwick and amble.

West Farm Cottage is a perfect get-away holiday home in a lovely Northumbrian village with easy access both to the wonderful coast and to highlights such as Alnwick, Morpeth and National Trust properties such as Cragside and Wallington Hall, as well as the wilder parts of the National Park.

The house is spacious, comfortable and beautifully maintained to a high standard, and the owners make every effort to provide a first class holiday experience. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Our second stay at West Farm Cottage, the cottage is very well equipped, it is really cosy with two log burning fires, the welcome pack is fantastic.

Situated in a lovely little village with a shop and a pub.

This beautiful cottage is likely to exceed expectations, it is very dog friendly as is Longhorsley.

The one issue is because of it’s popularity finding availability for a return visit is somewhat challenging!

It's spotlessly clean has been beautifully cared for with every convenience for a restful stay. Very spacious and the open plan kitchen and dining room is fabulous. The garden is also well cared for and completely enclosed for the dog which gave us peace of mind. Great base for visiting Druridge Bay, Morpeth, Alnwick, Rothbury and Warkworth. The village shop is very well stocked and has very obliging and pleasant staff. We'll be back. Iain, Maureen and Jura.

Lovely cottage in a peaceful location.

Great welcome pack especially the sponge cake & chocolates. We couldn't fault anything about the cottage & the beds were very comfortable. It is within easy reach of visiting different regions of Northumberland and we hope to return as we feel as though we have still loads to visit as well as staying in this lovely cottage.

West farm cottage is a comfortable well equiped, quality accoodation in the middle of Longhorsley.

The cottage is cental for walks and the coast which both humans & dogs enjoyed. We were especially pleased with the security for our dogs who were able to access the garden without worry of them going further. We were also left an excellent welcome pack. Would certainly recommend & will be returning next year.

Lovely comfortable cottage with everything needed for a good holiday.

The ‘library’ was a delight and well used. The gardens were great for relaxing in the sun and very secure for our dog. We would look to book West Farm cottage again as we still have more places to visit and explore in Northumberland.

We had a brilliant week in this beautiful cottage, amazing welcome pack, completely enclosed garden which is perfect for dogs, great location for the coastal path and visiting Alnwick, Rothbury etc would highly recommend and would love to come back again.

Delightful cottage to spend a relaxing week.

Every amenity and comfort. Owner was very generous and provided us with an array of delights as a warm welcome. Our greyhounds settled here beautifully and enjoyed the enclosed lawned garden and local walks. Cragside and Wallington were beautiful places to visit and only a stones throw away. Handy village store and friendly local pub. I have already recommended the cottage to friends and look forward to a return visit. Many thanks Lizzy

West Farm Cottage lived up to our expectations and more.

Every small detail had been thought of and provided. From the comfortable beds, to a good shower, a range cooker that was a dream to use and that wall of books! We have already booked next year to read some more that caught our eye.

We loved the cottage, set in a quaint village, with a great Corner shop!

Well furnished, with great amenities. Could not fault our stay. The welcome treats were amazing and so generous. We celebrated a special birthday here and made lovely memories. Would highly recommend, and will certainly return.

5* cottage everything you need for a relaxing holiday.

Lizzy was very helpful and we found a terrific welcome pack on arrival with milk in the fridge, a delicious homemade cake, croissants & jam, truffles, crisps, Prosecco & even treats for the dogs. Thank you Lizzy they were very much appreciated. The fish & chips from the mobile chippy 4 - 7pm on a Friday are not to be missed. They park just opposite the village shop. It is very roomy accommodation with comfortable beds in both bedrooms. Highly recommend a visit to the mining museum at Ashington & of course if you have dogs they will love the beach at Druridge Bay!

The weather was not kind to us but despite this we had a wonderful stay, Lizzy had planned well and torches were available for the blackout due to the storm.

The welcome pack was the best we have ever seen, delicious chocolates and homemade cake! The boys (Henry and Harvey our dogs) enjoyed their treats to and loved being able to have dog friendly gardens to the front and rear of the property. The area was lovely, a little muddy for local walks but we meandered around the village. The village shop has some essentials but check the opening times, the local pub has delicious food and very friendly staff and we enjoyed hearing about 'The Legend'. The fish van on the Friday was a bonus, meaning we didn't have to cook, though the facilities at the cottage were brilliant. Morpeth has a lovely park to wonder around in with a dog friendly café, closed on a Monday and Tuesday during the winter but they let you use their toilet facilities despite not being open. It was a short stay for us at West Farm but we didn't want to leave. Would love to come back to enjoy the garden and wildlife a little more in the spring and summer. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This was our third visit this year to West Farm Cottage and, once again, we thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

The facilities in the Cottage are first rate and the decor, furnishings, pictures and books are exceptional. The icing on the cake is the owners, Lizzie and Sam, who could not be more helpful and hospitable and go out of their way to welcome guests and make their stay memorable. We have every intention of booking a return visit to this wonderful location in the future.

A beautiful property, the nicest cottage that we have rented and very peaceful.

We were made very welcome by the lovely owners, dogs included. The welcome pack was very generous and the Victoria Sponge amazing! Local pub was very friendly and the Sunday Lunch was good. Easy travelling to Morpeth for a good selection of shops. We didn’t want to leave and have booked for next year. You won’t be disappointed!

This is a 5star cottage our week was very wet and windy and when we couldn’t get out the cottage was bright and comfortable to stay in .

Only minor problem was getting on and off the drive, when cottage opposite parked badly this was a challenge ( might be better if small car ) We ended up parking at front of cottage and using main door so ended good If going to Northumberland then I highly recommend you stay at West Cottage and owner Lizzie is a delight , as was the jam sponge she left for us ….

The generous welcome pack was greatly appreciated and the cottage was immaculately clean and well equipped. We found the location ideal for exploring the coast and historic towns nearby. The enclosed garden was perfect for our Jack Russell who also had a great time. The owners communicated with us before we arrived and were available anytime during the stay if we needed anything. Would definitely stay again!

West Farm had everything we needed. The exceptional welcome pack and warm welcome was brilliant. Despite the rain we had a relaxing time and discovered the delights of Amble and Belsay Hall and Castle. We fully intend to return.

Cottage is tastefully decorated and spacious, it has everything you need. Beds are super comfy. Would highly reccommend a stay if you are looking for a peaceful holiday with your 4 legged companions as you have two secure outside areas to sit & chill out in. Great shop in the village serving fabulous fresh rolls and pies etc. Cottage is in the perfect location to explore Northumberland.

What a gem this cottage is.

An amazing place to stay not your usual holiday home let. Very spacious, extremely comfortable beds, very well equipped wonderful large shower en suite actually a bathroom. Choice of 2 gardens (both enclosed dog friendly) 1 suntrap courtyard at the rear with new comfortable seating, 1 grass front garden with chairs & tables. The owners live close very friendly and helpful. The village itself is quiet, has a village store and a pub that is open. Also on a Friday evening there seems to be a mobile fish van. We had a great week here weather kind toured round visited favourite beaches and we do hope to stay again later in the year.

This property was ideal for our needs and for our dog.

The property is all on one level which was great having regard to my wife’s mobility issues. The property is extensive with large rooms and great facilities. The secure front and back gardens were just what was needed to allow our dog to exercise. This is one of the best rentals we have ever taken and we can thoroughly recommend it. The owners live nearby and could not have been more helpful in making our stay a very rewarding experience. We were so impressed that we have booked two additional holidays in the coming months which we are very much looking forward to.
