The Croft

A very easy holiday at this bungalow.

It has everything you need for a comfortable stay in a good location. We loved that everything was so close by so we could spend our holiday enjoying days out rather than travelling to and from them for long distances. It's rare to find that combination of a great property in a great location.

A super roomy property very close to a lovely quiet,clean beach.

Equipment generally good. Close to well stocked Co-op. Family loved the hot tub. Convenient distance for visiting many interesting places

Everything you need to enjoy your holiday. We really appreciated owners communication regarding directions and entry to cottage. She also gave first class advise for local areas to visit and restaurants.

We had a wonderful week stay at The Croft.

Accommodation was spacious and nicely decorated. Comfortable beds and hot showers. The hot tub was very popular with everyone. Good location, particularly for going to Alnwick. Lovely beach about 20 min walk away.

Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, with a track leading to the beach.

First impressions a very smart home, and inside it definitely didn’t disappoint either, spacious, clean, and well appointed. It was as the brief described. Bev, our host sent full entry details in advance. An ideal base to explore the Northumberland coast line and National Park. Then return to a lovely hot tub. The Fishing Boat Inn on the beach, served excellent food, as did The Fish Shack in Amble. Would thoroughly recommend

A nice property on a small residential estate very nice and quiet and easy to access local services .

The property is comfortable and well equipped with a good standard of furnishings and decor . There is easy access to coastal path from the house which was excellent . It was easy to contact Bev the owner on the Sykes app she responded promptly and was very helpful .

Enjoyed our week at The Croft.

The bungalow is in a lovely quiet spot but within a 10 minutes walk from the nearest beach. The bungalow was very spacious and clean, kitchen well equipped, plenty of hot water and the hot tub was amazing. We hope to visit again soon. Highly recommended.

We have just returned home for a week at the Croft and we sulked the entire way back after such a lovely week on our Summer holiday.

The house is lush with all the comforts and facilities you could wish for (hot tub was a fam fav). The host was super attentive and answered any of questions promptly. The location is perfect for exploring the coastal routes and towns. We will most certainly look to book the Croft again for our next Northumberland visit. It's a beautiful and peaceful spot to recharge the batteries.

A lovely bungalow on a quiet residential estate.

Very well equipped. Beds are very comfortable. Easy drive to Alnwick for shopping and of course, Barter Books. We encountered a few problems which Bev quickly helped us rectify.

House is lovely, hard to fault, constructive criticism is, decking needs updating asap and the bushes should have been trimmed before arrival

The location of this property is perfect, it's so quiet but still close enough to A1 to make exploring Northumberland easy.

The rooms are large and the beds are comfy. The owner provided us with plenty of information about the property prior to arrival and they provide a lot of the essentials you need for a self catering break such as tea bags, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets etc. The hot tub came in handy for post exploration relaxing, the sun shines in the back garden all afternoon and it's not overlooked which is a bonus.

We stayed for a week in this fantastic property and very much enjoyed our time here.

The location is fantastic being close to lots of major attractions in Northumberland and only 4 miles from Alnwick. We were able to walk down to the beach and you can even sea the sea from the kitchen window! The house itself was very comfortable and felt like a home from home. It had everything we needed. The hot tub was a highlight and we made good use of it in the evenings to relax after a day of sightseeing. Communication with the owner, Bev, was fantastic leading up to our stay and during. Would highly recommend this place and we very much hope to return in the future.

This is a very nice, spacious bungalow with excellent facilities - good for someone with mobility issues (although steps at front and back doors).

It's an exceptionally quiet neighbourhood on the edge of the village, with a 20-minute walk through farmland down to the beach. There were one or two minor issues re cleanliness and equipment, but nothing to spoil a really enjoyable holiday in a great holiday cottage.

Really big rooms, massive hot tub and all very nicely done. Owner was very helpful indeed.

he property was not as advertised so many maintenance issues was unacceptable but nobody is interested in discussing the situation which is so disappointing and very poor Maintenance issues definitely put a dampner on our much looked forward to stay as family get together for birthday celebration very disappointed and felt below standard and not very good value

This is a wonderful cottage in a brilliant area.

The facilities are great, it was presented in a very clean condition, with everything you would need, plus a glorious hot tub. There is a superb beach in walking distant and you are in the middle of some of the best of the Northumberland coast. You can get to Newcastle, Durham or Edinburgh by car or train if you want to. We had a brilliant holiday.

Had a lovely week here with our family.

Plenty of room for us all, hot tub was a lovely bonus, kids played in the garden area. The only thing we struggled with was the rubbish bin, the previous occupants had nearly filled the main bin, so we had to use separate bin bags and leave them at the side of the bin, but not sure if this was because bins are collected fortnightly in some areas, so hope it all got taken away the day we left as it was bin collection day. All in all a lovely quiet place to spend time, and very easy to get around and visit the surrounding area.

Beautiful holiday home in a great location.

10 minute drive from Alnwick, and a 20 minute walk down to the nearest beach. The house is well equipped, and the owner provides plenty of useful information before arrival, and is very responsive to queries. We'd definitely recommend The Croft for a peaceful stay.

Really great property.

Beautifully decorated, lovely comfortable lounges, everything we needed was there. Kitchen was stunning, so easy to use with quality kitchen appliances and cookware. Easy access once inside, two steps at front door quite easy to negotiate with walking sticks. Lovely quiet area, space for two cars on drive and within easy reach of lots of places to visit. It's hard to think of any improvements. Maybe a welcome pack of local products and info on local areas. ( Owner does send you information via WhatsApp and is very easy to reach). Really lovely stay ☺️

Had a great holiday.

The Croft is in an excellent location, and was comfortable, spacious, quiet and warm. The owner was very helpful and quick to respond. Enjoyed the garden. Picnic chairs to take on outings were a nice touch.

This property is exactly as described, set in a quiet cul-de-sac and only a 20 minute walk to the beach through wonderful countryside.

The kitchen is well equipped, beds were comfortable and the whole place is very spacious. Fantastic large hot tub which was cleaned in the middle of our week too. The owner was readily contactable and responded swiftly to any questions or queries .Wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Also the Running Fox cafe/ shop was a wonderful place to eat or purchase bread cake etc only 5 minute walk away

Excellent, would rent again if we visit the area, The area was lovely and very quiet, but within easy driving distance to visit the attractions we wanted to visit.

The beach was sandy and well worth a visit. Would definitely recommend

The property was perfect and had everything we needed. Communication with the owner was brilliant before we arrived. Location is great, 20 minute walk to the beach, 10 minutes in the car to Alnwick and not far from other locations. The hot tub is an excellent addition, especially after long walks during the day. The sun room was beautiful to sit in and read. The area is quiet and is perfect for relaxing and having some time out. We would definitely book again at The Croft.

The property was lovely and was a great base for our family holiday.

The location is perfect - Longhoughton Beach is walkable, it's just a short drive to Alnwick, and also well placed for visits to all the other wonderful places along the Northumberland coast. The property itself was very comfortable - plenty of space for the whole family, very comfortable beds, and a great hot tub to help you relax at the end of the day. Communication from the owner before arrival was great - all info needed for the property and local area was provided. Overall, it was a great stay and we'd happily stay at The Croft again.

Lovely spacious bungalow in a quiet cul-de-sac, close to the village amenities and the track to a lovely beach.

Only a short drive to Alnwick and all it has to offer, and in easy range of Bamburgh and the beautiful Northumbrian coast and hills. A great base with lovely facilities to return to and relax at the end of the day.
