    “Booked this cottage for 3 days.”

    This cottage had no WiFi. Owners knew it was not working before we arrived but did not inform us. The router was not connected and maintenance could not repair. Consequently the smart tv was not available due to no internet connection. We would not have booked this property had we known there was no internet connection. We have had no contact from either Sykes Cottages or the owners since we informed them, during our stay, of our complaint. Very poor service.

The property

Old Mill is located in a Grade II listed former flour mill. It has been converted into comfortable and spacious accommodation benefiting from an open fire, four poster bed, Wi-Fi and private parking. It is located in the hamlet of Lucker and Bamburgh and the Northumberland Coast is just 3 miles away. Next door is The Apple Inn which serves food and ales most days. Old Mill is next door to Millstone and can create an interlinked property accommodating 11 guests. Lucker is a picturesque hamlet which has an established Pub – The Apple Inn and Italian Pizzeria – The Apple Core. GROUND FLOOR Bedroom 1 with zip and link king-size bed (or twin on request) with access to patio, with en suite shower room with shower, WC and basin. Bedroom 2 with zip and link king-size bed (or twin on request) with en suite shower room with shower, WC and basin. Cycle store. FIRST FLOOR Bedroom 3 with two single beds, with en suite bathroom with shower over bath, WC and basin. Snug with TV, seating and sofa bed (to increase occupancy to 7/8 - charges apply). Cloakroom with WC and basin. SECOND FLOOR Spacious open plan living, dining and kitchen area. Living area with open fire, large TV/DVD and CD player, iPod docking station. The historic coastal village of Bamburgh, with its sweeping beaches and dramatic castle, is only a short drive away with an array of excellent pubs, restaurants and gift shops. Lucker itself offers a good pub serving excellent food and a restaurant serving traditional french crépes and freshly cooked pizzas. Lucker is ideally placed for discovering the Cheviots, the stunning Northumberland Coastline and the Scottish Borders.
