“We very much enjoyed our stay at Castle View.”
It's a characterful property, with unbeatable views right up into the keep of Warkworth Castle. The beds were comfy. We also enjoyed some cosy time reading in front of the fire in the living room. We had a good pub meal at The Mason's Arms, a sunday lunch at the Hermitage and a cracking brunch at Bertrams. I also used the evening dog walk as an excuse to visit the pub for a quick one. The Sun, (just a few yards away) does Hawkstone. There's a fab ice cream place called Morwick Dairy just outside the village. For shopping, there's a useful Morrisons in Amble (a few miles away). There's also a big Marks and Spencers in Alnwick. The local village shop is quite good for basics, but it has restricted opening. It's lovely walking down by the river here. As for the beach, oh my it's just the best! You can drive up there in minutes or walk. And if you don't like that beach there are loads of others in the area. Bamburgh beach takes some beating.
