Rose Cottage rests peacefully near the gentle flow of the River Wansbeck in Morpeth, Northumberland, offering a charming escape for families or groups of friends eager to explore the nearby Northumberland National Park.

With roadside parking, a toasty woodburning stove, a freestanding bath, and a warm welcome for one well-behaved dog, this delightful retreat promises comfort and character in equal measure.

Step inside and you’ll be drawn into the heart of the home—a sitting room that radiates warmth and charm.

Throw a log on the woodburning stove nestled within the exposed brick fireplace, sink into the velvet sofa, and let the patterned rug and feature wallpaper set the tone for a relaxing evening in front of the TV.

The kitchen/diner is a vibrant and welcoming space, where you can fire up the range cooker with gas hob and prepare hearty meals surrounded by colourful artwork and playful pink dining chairs.

Gather around the table to share stories and laughter, while the fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and TV ensure every convenience is at your fingertips.

An additional utility area adds a sense of space and practicality, and a separate utility room with a washing machine is also available for your ease.

The conservatory offers a tranquil retreat, where morning light pours in through garden-facing doors.

Settle into the inviting seating with a coffee or a good book, and let the peaceful garden views ease you into the day.

Upstairs, two beautifully appointed bedrooms await.

Ascend the stairs and dive into the plush French style bed in the king-size room, complete with a mirrored wardrobe and a walk-in wardrobe for added luxury.

The second bedroom, a charming double, boasts its own en-suite with a basin and WC, offering privacy and comfort.

The main bathroom is a sanctuary of calm, where you can soak in the freestanding bath under soft lighting, with a shower over, heated towel rail, basin, and WC completing the space.

For those needing a quiet corner to work or unwind, the study provides a peaceful nook with a desk and chair—perfect for writing, reading, or simply enjoying a moment of stillness.

Outside, the enclosed garden is a true haven for alfresco dining and quiet contemplation.

Dine beneath the open sky, relax on the covered bench with a cup of tea, or simply breathe in the tranquillity of the lush surroundings.

Secure bike storage is also available for those planning to explore on two wheels.

Beyond the doorstep, Northumberland’s treasures await.

Discover the spellbinding history of Alnwick Castle, famed for its role in the Harry Potter films, and step into a world of magic and wonder.

Travel a little further to marvel at the Angel of the North, a striking symbol of transformation and resilience.

Or head to the coast to enjoy the serene beauty of St Mary’s Lighthouse, where a picnic or a stroll along the nature reserve promises unforgettable views.

A lovely, comfortable and stylish place to stay - felt very homely and well equipped.

Garden was secure and ideal for our little dog. Couldn't easily park right outside but had no problem finding a space nearby, and it's an easy stroll along the river just a few minutes into the town centre. We recommend breakfast at Sober in the Garden cafe, and don't miss the extraordinary collection of fascinating items at Fanny's Emporium! Lovely walks along the river through Carlisle Park too.

Really enjoyed our time there.

The place had everything we needed and was perfect for getting around the area. Fortunately we did not have a car as parking is very difficult. The streets are narrow and most residents use them for parking. There is a town parking lot close by if there is no room near the house. We would certainly be happy to use this lovely home again.

Lovely clean well presented property.

The only drawback was the parking situation a complete nightmare but nothing the owner can do anything about.
