The Nest

This is our third time staying and The Nest and we will be back!

It’s a real peaceful haven in Beadnell and perfect to explore the surrounding areas. Every little detail has been thought about to make your stay comfortable- it’s a real home from home, very clean, light and airy. A lovely garden to sit out and enjoy the summer sunshine. Perfect.

Really enjoyed our stay here.

Everything that you might need was provided for. A short walk in the village to some pubs serving good food. Lovely walks along the coast, both north and south and bus routes can take you further afield.

Very well equipped.

Lovely, spacious downstairs, well equipped kitchen and comfy sofas.

Great outside space and good location. Upstairs a little cramped. Ok for just the two of us, but would struggle in the bathroom with small children or mobility issues.

The Nest was excellent accommodation the only minor point was the bed which sadly was not comfortable after 7 nights.

However we would love to return. It was spacious, bright and airy and spotless. The Nest is in an excellent position in Beadnell which made for a very relaxing holiday . The flowers, milk and shortbread were a lovely welcoming touch. I would highly recommend.

The Nest is a real home away from home.

Comfortable, cosy and stylish with everything you could want or need. Quiet surroundings but with easy access to lovely beaches and local walks. A good selection of eating places nearby and on the road to Alnwick, Bamburgh and all the coastal villages. We would be very happy to return. Thank you Julie and Alan

We had problems 3 days into our holiday.

Next door were doing building works, grinding out morter courses to repoint the joints. The noise and dust was extreme, our home owners apologized, but said they had no control over their neighbors actions. We have since found out that the owners of our house, also own the offending property. So much for honesty, there only interest was money, with no concern for the holiday makers happiness!

A clean and tidy property to the highest standard.

It is also located in a nice area. Our family enjoyed our stay at The Nest. It was a great base to explore the surrounding areas. My youngest son loved seeing the horse and the rabbits in the field outside. I would definitely recommend The Nest.

The accommodation was ideal.

First impressions were excellent and confirmed during our stay. The 'Nest is perfectly placed for walking and touring the Northumberland coast. A lot of effort has obviously been made by the owners to make everything comfortable for our stay and the kitchen was well equipped. After a day walking (and enjoying the nearby hostelries during the evenings), it was lovely to have a very comfortable night's sleep. No hesitation in hopefully staying at the 'Nest' in the future.

The Nest is an excellent property .

Superbly appointed containing everything one needs and very comfortable, Close to shop and sea. Beadnell itself is a very friendly village and this is reflected in this cottage. we will go again.

My husband and I stayed at The Nest at the end of August.

The accommodation was absolutely amazing the down stairs living with the bifold doors looking out to the lovely garden and to the open field just perfect. The house had everything we needed. Flowers and biscuits left from owners a lovely touch. We would highly recommend a stay at The Nest in beadnell

We had a wonderful holiday in the nest.

It is a beautiful holiday home, well equipped Julie & Alan the owners have thought of everything you would need. Comfortable bed for a great night's sleep. The flowers, biscuits and milk left for us was a lovley touch. The only problem was that we didn't want to leave! Looking forward to returning.

The nest has gorgeous newly extended downstairs which is comfortable to sit in… you can look out through patio doors onto the garden and watch the horses in the paddock beyond, just don’t feed them… The kitchen is well appointed and has everything you need for a family of 4 including a small dishwasher (because who really likes washing up).

The upstairs is small but fine for a couple and light and airy. The location couldn’t be better, you can easily walk to the beautiful sandy beach within 10 minutes and Beadnell village centre is 5 minutes in the opposite direction, with an array of eateries and pubs… it won’t be the last time we stay in Beadnell.

Really comfortable cottage in great location.

Well equipped kitchen and good cooker/hob etc. Close to the beach and lovely setting backing onto a field with horses in. Loved our stay and hope to return!

The Next was very clean and comfortable, nice touches with the flowers and biscuits.

Bracknell is.a lovely place we really enjoyed our stay.and look forward to going back to Beadnell and the Nest.

This is a well situated house with a short walk to the beach.

it has a lovely garden at the rear, accessed easily through amazing patio doors. The whole downstairs is stunningly beautiful and well-equipped. We were welcomed with milk in the fridge, chocolate biscuits and a bunch of roses. very special.

Lovely peaceful “Nest” for a relaxing week away from the hustle and bustle of every day life.

Easy access to beach and coastal walks. Definitely returning for another visit.

Great location.

Property was as described could do with some attention in some areas but we had a good stay. Garden was nice and the location was ideal for both the beach and the village. Beadnell is a good base to explore this beautiful region.

The Nest is great and in the perfect location for visiting everything from castles, to boat trips from Seahouses, and lovely walks.

We also used the bus service which was nice to be able to leave the car. ( check the times on the actual bus stop ) there are very nice places to eat out as well, and a good general store selling a good range of items. The house is excellent very comfortable and spotlessly clean, we were lucky with the weather and it was nice to sit out in the garden overlooking the field, as it gets dark look out for the bats. We had a wonderful week and look forward to visiting again.

Spotlessly clean well presented property , perfect location just a short walk to the beach and local pubs and cafes will definitely be booking again .

Excellent place to stay, very comfortable

Stayed at the Nest as a family of four and the location for us was perfect to explore Northumberland as well as close to all the amenities in Beadnell.

5 minute walk to the playground, 5 minutes to the pubs, 5 minutes to the pebble beach which is great for dog walking or crabbing. Around a 10 minute walk to Beadnell bay. Living space was fine as a family of 4 with young children (might be a bit small for older children). Garden was great over looking the horse's field. Only downsides being no dishwasher (but doesn't say this is provided in details anyway) and a bit of dusting was required.

The nest is a perfect place for a holiday on the Northumberland coast.

Beadnell village has good places for dining. The house was comfortable and nicely decorated, with plenty of home comforts.

Lovely small house in a quiet road with a sunny garden overlooking a field with horses.

Very comfortable and clean , fresh and modern decoration. Everything we needed provided. Great position near to the coast and easy access to main routes. Lots of excellent attractions nearby. The coast is stunning here and has the best beaches and walks. Pub, cafe, small shop and fish and chip van in the village but only a couple of miles to Seahouses with many more facilities. Useful bus service. What more could you ask for?

The property is excellent for a week.

We (a couple) found the decor really cheerful, warm, welcoming and friendly, and the kitchen equipment and shower very good. The car space would begin to feel cramped after a fortnight. The location is an excellent centre for coast based touring (we also got to Alnwick and Cragside). The only negatives to our stay were outside the control of the property; the neighbour in the other half of the semi smoked outside and the smoke came in through the garden window so we had to close it; and once or twice their loud talking kept us awake till gone midnight. (The only maintenance item we noticed was the shaver socket in the bathroom cabinet, which we couldn't make work.)

Just a short walk to two beaches and a village store. Pub and tearoom nearby. Excellent location for visiting the beautiful Northumberland coast.

We had a lovely stay at the Nest.

The house is bright, comfortable and well equipped with everything you could possibly need during a holiday. The garden is a delight with sparrows and robins coming to feed, and a field behind with two beautiful horses. Beadnell was a good base for exploring the Northumberland coast and beyond. We'd be delighted to stay at the Nest again in the future.

The bedding provided in double room was inadequate and not fit for purpose The cottage was otherwise perfect Unfortunately as a good nights sleep is part of the experience the quality of bedding provided did not provide enough comfort

Lovely, has everything you need, clean, cosy, warm.

Lovely decor and blankets, extras in the kitchen, lots of toilet roll and towels. On top of a beautiful area. Very helpful owners...

Very nice property- ideal for 2 of us.

Everything was as advertised and high standard of cleanliness and maintenance. It was really nice receiving a pre holiday call from the owner explaining where everything was in the house. Also Julie gave us some good recommendations about where to visit in the area. We are highly likely to return.

The property is in a cul de sac so very quiet; it is full of other rental properties and holiday lets.

It is walking distance to the beach and it had everything that is needed for a short stay; the garden was well kept too and the location is good to visit the coast. It could have been cleaner as there was dust around etc. and the kitchen pans could be replaced.

A very comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean home from home.

There was a vase full of fresh cut roses on the table when we arrived as well as much appreciated tea, coffee, milk and biscuits to revive us after a long journey. The house is ideally situated for strolling along the nearby beach and for visiting the many interesting attractions in the surrounding area. We have no hesitation in recommending “The Nest” .

A fabulous base for exploring, with the owner offering a friendly warm welcome to Beadnell.

It’s clear lots of thought has gone into ensuring The Nest has everything required; we had everything we could have needed during our stay. A very short walk to the beach and only 1 minute drive from the beautiful coastal road, The Nest is in a great location. The description of the cottage is very accurate and honest, the second room is more suited to children (or one adult) and provides comfy beds for them. There is more than enough available storage in this cottage, meaning we were able to unpack and feel settled immediately. We really enjoyed our 4 nights here, enhanced even further by the lovely little garden and the neighbouring horses coming to say hello.

A lovely little property well situated for the coast, village facilities and surrounding area.

A nice small sunny garden with 2 horses in the field next door. Owners very helpful in phoning before the visit, and everything in the property that we needed for a lovely break.

The property would not be suitable for 4 adults due to one double bed and 2 bunk beds adults would find it difficult

Great location.

Clean and tidy small house. Small rooms and bed very small in double room. Otherwise all amenities in place and met our needs.

The holiday cottage is in such a beautiful area, with a lovely walk to Beadnell Harbour and beach.

Very unspoilt!

Absolutely loved this place So nice the welcome was lovely my kids had a ball the book shelf was so sweet , the garden was lovely for our doggy too , safe and secure.

Thanks so much to Julie and Alan Would definitely come back to the lovely cottage in beadnell if we are in Northumberland again.

The cleanliness of the property could be improved on.

I am aware it is contract cleaners but some areas were not up to standards especially the shower cubicle.

Nice little village close to Seahouses.

Easy access to many attractions such as Cragside Estate, Alnwick, Bamburgh and Holy Island. Sunset cottage is great, well equiped and cosy.

The accommodation was exactly as described. A tiny improvement would be a bigger fridge/fridge freezer and an extra tea towel please. We would certainly revisit .

Sunset cottage is a perfect holiday cottage, very well equipped and could not have asked for more.

Ideal location too. Definitely recommend for anybody looking for a relaxing break :-)
