“The cottage was very clean and comfortable.”

Everything needed was provided. Only a 2 minute walk to the local dog friendly part of the beach. 10 minute drive to Cresswell and Druridge Bay Beach which I highly recommend for dogs.

“Our third time, and we’re looking to book next year too!”

Perfect for our (getting older) GSD which makes it relaxing for us. The only thing which would make it even more comfortable would be additional/ different garden furniture; the bench is ok for a while but soon gets uncomfortable even with the cushions. As we’re spending more time ‘at home’ with our GSD (and my mum!) we’d like to be able to relax in the garden with our books for longer.

Very comforable, warm and welcoming. Everything we needed. If we come that way again Sandy Toes is the cottage we would book. Would like to mention a concern that we had there was a smell in the kitchen (I would point out it is very, very clean) its around the fridge area and back door, it got worse as the week went on and got better after the heavy rain on Wednesday, we suspect it was the drains. Not a complaint but something I think you should be aware of as it greets you when returning from a day out!

Comfortable and clean cottage with everything you need, in a quiet location and only a short walk to the dog friendly area of the beach. I was a bit worried about the on-road parking as it’s unrestricted and being so close to the beach I thought people might park there on days out, but that wasn’t the case at all and we were there during school holidays. We were able to park directly outside the cottage no problem.

“We love this cottage .”

Step inside and its clear the amount of work and attention to detail the owner has put into the renovation with a lot of the original features being retained . Maybe ,as its a terraced house it reminds me of the home I was brought up in . Its warm and cosy on cold evenings , the TV has Sky and Netflix and the lovely beach is just around the corner , just nothing to fault whatsoever . The owner is very helpfull as well . We will certainly be returning .

Rightfully named, the cottage is situated within earshot of Newbiggin-by-the-Sea Beach, whilst sleeping up to four guests in its homely setting. A sought-after on-street parking space greets you on arrival, whilst you take in the coastal breeze. Entering the property, you will find the sitting room, consisting of sofas and a TV with Sky, perfect for getting together in the evenings after a day out and about. Continue through the property to the dining room, furnished with a round table and chairs that are ideal for sitting down to enjoy a meal while chatting about all the exciting things you've been up to. Newbiggin-by-the-Sea is a small coastal town in Northumberland. The town has a selection of shops and pubs, as well as a beach. Northumberland itself is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian’s Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife. 3.3 miles away is the large town of Ashington and within reach is Stakeford, which overlooks the River Wansbeck.
