“We spent a lovely week at Smithy Cottage, Embleton and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet.”
Our evenings were spent watching deer, rabbits, pheasants and hares chasing around the grassed area from our window, outside bench and hot tub. The hot tub was lovely to come back to after long days out, walking and sightseeing. The cottage was well equipped, spotlessly clean and the welcome pack was much appreciated. We were both disappointed when departure day arrived, will certainly be re-booking ! The staff that we met on site were all very helpful and friendly.

Just a couple of minor observations - the pillows could do with replacing as they were flat, lumpy and uncomfortable due to ‘wear and tear’. Bathroom towels need upgrading to better quality bath sheets. Rota for swimming pool was confusing as the information led you to believe that the slot you selected was solely for your use. My husband has mobility issues and was looking forward to leisurely swims, however when we went to the pool at our chosen slot time, there was already a family with young children in the pool. The following day, at a different time, three adults and two children entered the pool halfway through our allotted time slot. We decided not to book any more pool time slots as we were unsure as to how many other swimmers would be there. The comments here are not criticisms, just suggestions.
