    “Lovely cottage very spacious and comfortable.”

    Just a sort stroll to the castle, beach and village. Had a small problem with the heating system but this was sorted extremely promptly. Just missed a few little things such as kitchen equipment when cooking for a large family. Would certainly stay again.

This excellent family cottage provides spacious and attractive accommodation in the popular coastal village of Bamburgh. It is ideally located just a few minutes walk to the dunes and beautiful sandy beach, just south of Bamburgh Castle, and the village centre is a short walk away. The cottage is great for families, or groups of friends looking to make Bamburgh their base to explore Northumberland's Heritage Coast. GROUND FLOOR Living area spacious open plan with TV/DVD and open fire. Dining area leading to large conservatory. Conservatory. Kitchen with electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer. Bedroom 1 with king size bed, TV/DVD, en suite shower, WC and basin and French windows onto garden. About the location

BAMBURGH

Seahouses 3 miles; Alnwick 12 miles.

The village’s sweeping sandy beaches and dramatic fortress - Bamburgh Castle - make Bamburgh one of Northumberland’s major visitor attractions. The castle can be seen for miles and dominates this part of the county’s coastline. Today it remains home to the family of the great Victorian industrialist Lord Armstrong, and is open to the public on a daily basis. Although overshadowed by the great castle, Bamburgh village is picturesque with neat grey stone cottages facing a manicured village green. There are excellent pubs, hotels with restaurants and a small selection of village shops. There are golf courses in Bamburgh and nearby Seahouses, and within easy reach are more wide sandy beaches, lovely fishing villages, stunning castles and coastal islands to explore along the dramatic Heritage Coast. There are numerous other attractions also a short drive away, including the famous Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the historic walled border town, Berwick-upon-Tweed. A superb base for exploring Northumberland.
