The beach was a short walk over the dunes, the castle, lifeboat museum and cafe with play park in Bamburgh went down well with adults and children and we also enjoyed excursions to Lindisfarne, Dunstanburgh Castle and a boat trip from Seahouses to the Farne Islands. The only disappointment was that the Heavy Horse Centre at Hay Farm was closed on Fridays which was when we'd hoped to go, but hopefully we'll be back.
