Nicely situated property, well appointed.

Useful to have an allocated parking space. It was a shame that the balconies were rendered unusable by bird mess.

Only thoughts Marks on carpet/rug Carpet in one bedroom and the rug in lounge need a deep clean.

Impressed with just how much kitchen equipment was available.

Well portside was all I thought it would be and more but one thing let it down badly, I have rented cottages for so many years and most of the time there is a welcome pack some amazing some just basic, a lot of owners take pride in their packs and a lot of thought goes into them, at the price point portside is at I think it’s shocking not to provide one , not even a teabag in sight for our arrival I was very disappointed it took the shine of such a lovely property!

Perfect location with stunning views.

Well equipped kitchen. Super comfy beds. Points for improvement: Needs far more coat hangers in the wardrobes. Blinds do not block out light at all in the bedroom so needs a rethink. Needs some additional shelves in bathroom for items and a shelf or two in bedroom for vanity items. Hooks on back of bathroom doors for clothing etc. would be really useful. Sitting room needs additional seating as sofa only really comfortably sits two. Also needs additional side tables.

Unable to .

.use dishwasher water was left at the bottom due to blockage from previous users.view of harbour not as advertised so disappointing.hooks on the back of doors would be helpful and second bedroom only really suitable for children there not being enough shelving in bathroom for toiletries etc or bedside cabinets no drawers.hall lighting did not come on until almost at the top of stairs.

Lovely accommodation with everything you need- it was clean and comfortable.

Location was great only a short walk to the town for all you need and a nice walk around. Would love to return for another visit- I highly recommend xx

Portside is a very well-equipped apartment with beautiful sea views.

Everything we needed was provided and the location is very convenient for local shops and restaurants. Thoroughly recommended.

We stayed there last year and found the apartment was not as clean.

In one of the bedside drawers I found a pair of soiled ladies knickers, the drawers had not obviously been cleaned! In another bedside drawer there were cd’s that have been left and both bathrooms had quite a lot of dust along the tops of the tiles! Bedside lamps had a layer of dust on them and we were extremely disappointed at the lack of deep cleaning. I was disgusted at finding soiled underwear and left a note for the cleaners coming in to ensure they didn’t think it was me who had left this disgusting mess! Given how much the property was to rent I certainly didn’t expect standards to be this low, Like I previously stated, we stayed here last year and the property was much cleaner . I will be looking for alternatives for our next stay in seahouses for next year!

Stunning, clean and very well appointed apartment.

Everything we could possibly need was available and decor and furnishings were of a high standard. Very convenient for the town amenities and we enjoyed several evenings in the company of the very friendly locals during our holiday. Gorgeous welcome pack on arrival, and a small issue with the heating was very quickly and professionally rectified - thank you. The beds and settees were all very comfortable and we enjoyed the lovely views over to the Farne Islands. We certainly hope to return next year.

This is our 2nd stay at Portside and we would definitely recommend it.

It's in a great location for exploring the coast of Northumberland and near to Seahouses for shops and places to eat. The beds are very comfortable and the property is spotless. Designated parking is also a bonus.

Beautiful apartment, well appointed, everything you could need and in a great location

It was very nice accommodation with nice views and very convenient for Seahouses and Bamburgh.

Hard to fault it but just a couple of points to bee aware of 1 it is on the coastal road, so inevitably there is traffic noise throughout the day & evening 2 The extractor fan 'guard' over the hob is a sheet of hardened glass and although its edges are rounded, it is still painful if you bang your head against it, which I did most days as I'm 6ft 1, just the right height to hit it if you lean over the hob when looking downwards. I don't think it's a great design

Very comfortable and handy for all facilities Played golf at Bamburgh and Alnwick. Visited Cradter and Beanell Bay. Lovely little villages. All in all had a great time

We had a great time at Portside ,the location was fantastic.

We were able to walk into Seahouses to eat, shop or just browse within minutes.We strolled in the other direction morning and evening withe the dog and onto the beach with glorious views of Bamburgh.Every one of the sights we wanted to see was within half an hours drive away , most even less.The highlight of the holiday was being able to stroll down to the harbour and get on a boat tour to the Farne Islands to see the birds,ArticTerns,,Guillemots,Razobills,Kittiwakes and of course Puffins,Puffins,Puffins.Absolutely wonderful.

The oven and grill could have been cleaner.

A handrail is needed on the first three steps from the pavement. Apart from that the apartment is very well equipped and comfortable. Lovely views over the harbour. Thoroughly enjoyed our second visit to Portside and hope to return.

Generally the place was very comfortable - however i felt the person who cleans the bathroom needs to be more stringent as grouting needed more attention along with the shower mats.

The kicker board in the kitchen was broken, some glasses in the cupboards where chipped and a plate was chipped, some light bulbs did not work, also noted the telescope lens was broken and i feel these issues should have been escalated back to the owner after each customer left.

We absolutely loved the apartment.

It was clean and nicely decorated. The beds were large and very comfortable. The views were stunning and the location perfect for the beach, coastal walks and shops. If I was going to recommend any changes it would just be a proper coffee maker. The Cafetière was very messy to clean out. As big coffee drinkers we had to do this several times a day. A pod machine or even a filter coffee machine would be a really good addition.

Excellent accommodation and really comfortable.

We arrived on the day of storm Eowyn. On entering the apartment it was freezing and we couldn't switch on the heaters which are electric. I realised a fuse had tripped, the owners had provided clear and concise instructions in the manuals and I immediately found the fuse box. Saved a lot of messing about. The apartment had everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable, first rate and in an excellent location.

Another perfect stay at Portside!

The apartment is in a wonderful location, lots of great walks nearby, Seahouses has everything you need from butchers, bakers, cosy pubs, cute shops, ice cream bars, selection of takeaways & restaurants. The apartment is well equipped with everything you need, very much home from home. We found the bed to be extremely comfortable, shower worked well, always hot water and nice & cosy to come back to on the stormy, snowy days we had. We will definitely return again. Thank you.

Lovely stay at Portside.

An extremely well equipped apartment in an ideal position for us. All crockery, glasses and utensils good quality. Nice comfortable beds with good linen and towels. A little disappointed about the balcony being unsafe and the leak at the back of the toilet was not fixed when we were there. However we do hope to return.

Unfortunately we could not use the balcony with the sea view because it was unsafe.

This was disappointing. Kitchen was very well stocked with good quality tableware etc. There were only two of us. Four people would have been a bit cramped in kitchen. Location was wonderful. Some confusion about key collection and who to contact in advance.

Overall apartment is superb and ideal for your stay in Seahouses, close to town centre with fantastic views.

Well equipped kitchen with everything and more for self-catering, books and games and attractions leaflets. Tastefully decorated making it a home from home experience. Shame there was a few issues below I feel need addressing and if done it would make everything perfect for anyone's stay. Please be mindful when using hot tap it is so hot you scold yourself -frightening thought if children staying. Water temperature needs turning down. Mattresses are uncomfortable you can feel springs, really need toppers. Traffic noise could be heard in front bedroom and draft from front room patio doors which impacts on the warmth of apartment. It would of been nice for patio furniture on kitchen balcony to be usable instead of been folded up covered in algae from over winter.

Absolutely adored this apartment.

Positioned beautifully to overlook the sea to the front or the village to the side. Great walks from the doorstep. Visited Seahouses many times, and visited all the nearby towns & villages so enjoyed staying parked up and walking to Bamburgh, Beadnall & local pubs and restaurants. Everything you need is in the apartment. The owners have put a lot of thought into the quality fixtures and fittings. Thank you for a beautiful stay. We will return & recommend.

It is a will kept apartment with ever thing you need

We had a lovely weeks stay at Portside.

The location is great, an ideal base to explore the Northumberland coast. We had fish and chips from one of the many fish and chip shops within 5 minute walking distance and a great meal at The Bamburgh Castle Inn again 5 minutes walk away. The property was cosy once we turned the heaters on and had a great view of the sea. The beds were comfortable and the property was clean and beautifully decorated. We didn't do much cooking but had we wanted to the kitchen was very well equipped with all you would need. We will definitely return if we are visiting this area again.

We didn’t think the welcome pack was what we expected.

We have had cottages like this for the last 12 years and have always been welcomed with bread and milk at least and often a bottle of wine. There was none of this. Many of the usual things were not there - washing liquid, washing tabs, tea bags, coffee - we could go on! The apartment itself was excellently located with wonderful views and close to all that we wanted to see and do

Pros - Views from the living room, distance from town, Kitchen facilities are of high quality and generally a very nice apartment when all the windows are closed it is very very quiet.

Cons - NOT A SMART TV, not even a working BBC i-player it is an old TV so pretty useless and should not be listed as a smart tv. We expected to use our Netflix, Disney Plus and Prime on the "Smart TV" on an evening as our entertainment on return to the apartment but could not even get BBC iplayer because the app is so old the BBC I-player crashes before it opens so had to rely on terrestrial TV which was not what was advertised on the booking and where it is positioned on the wall is ridiculous Sykes answer to this was we should of spoken to the owners (as if they would buy a new TV and fit it to the wall for us to put this right). Really uncomfortable beds, springs sticking out and we DID NOT request the beds to be separated before our holiday because we wanted two King-size beds but they were made into two singles in the second room meaning our Son had to sleep on a single bed, we could not change this because we were provided with single bedding. I got a line of itchy bites on the first day either fleas from a previous dog staying on the sofa or bed bugs I informed Sykes but they didn't care and I bet they have not even advised the owners. The Bathroom in the main bedroom is pretty manky and needs refurb. The tiles and grout were filthy the edge of the shower guard disgusting, the toilet doesn't flush properly (something the owners know about as there is a sticker on the wall) even after three flushes it still leaked. When the doors/windows are open (when it is Summer you need this) the traffic from the main road outside makes it intolerable because it is so loud and no one seems to drive at the speed limit so if you have small children please note this road is dangerous as you get very fast cars passing not the owners issue but worth noting. These issues were brought to Sykes attention but they didn't even bother to respond they could not care less. I don't think I would ever use Sykes again but would definitely go to Seahouses again!

A perfectly located (short walk from all shops, pubs and restaurants) handsome sea view apartment, furnished, decorated and equipped to a high standard.

It has an excellent parking area with generous bays. Weaknesses: the “smart” TV is out-dated, not very smart and positioned too high; the shower in the en suite of the main bedroom doesn’t have a top head (only the small hand-held secondary head). Thankfully, the shower in the en suite of the second bedroom is complete and works, though I’m not a fan of rain forest showers.

Lovely position, very comfortable and a choice of 2 balconies was a good idea, a bigger table on the front/side balcony would make it almost perfect.

I have already recommended this area to a near neighbour, and they are planning to visit seahouses in 6 weeks time. (they'll Love it) and I think they are due to rent one of the apartments when they visit soon.

Great property in perfect location.

Perfect for walks on the beach and easy strolls to local restaurants and shops. The kitchen is exceptionally well stocked if you want to cook at home.

A perfect base to explore the North East. We enjoyed coming back each day for a pint and a meal before relaxing in the well equipped comfortable accommodation at Portside. We will definitely be back again to these apartments.

The property was in an excellent location.

Ideally situated between the town centre and the beach. The views were fantastic overlooking the sea and the Farne Islands with balconies at either end of the property to enjoy the views and weather. The property was decorated to a very high standard. The beds were a great size which suited as as we were co-sleeping with our toddler. Both bedrooms having an en-suits was also a great feature which drew us in. We would definitely stay here again.
