The property

Seahares is a character cottage in the old town of Seahouses in Northumberland that has been immaculately presented for guests and is ideal for a family holiday. The property greets you with an inviting sitting room with ample seating, exposed ceiling beams, solid wood flooring, and a feature inglenook fireplace complete with an attractive woodburning stove. This is a space where you can imagine everyone socialising and getting into the holiday spirit, or where you can curl up alone with a good book in front of the woodburning stove. When it's time to eat, the fully equipped kitchen is ready to go with all the appliances needed to prepare delicious food for the entire holiday party, and the adjoining dining area is delightful with a window seat and table and chairs, making it the ideal place to host your home-cooked meals. Outside, there is a sunny courtyard area where you can soak up the sun and breathe in the fresh sea air. You'll be ready for bed after all that fresh air, and with two charming bedrooms to choose from, a king-size and a double, going to bed will be a pleasure. Waking up is even more enjoyable when you have those breathtaking coastal views to motivate you to get up and go. Take a stroll through the beautiful village of Seahouses, which is located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and you will be rewarded with some stunning views along the way. There Seahouses golf club is nearby, as are miles of sandy beaches nearby to explore, and boat trips run daily from Seahouses to the Farne Islands, where you can spot birds and seals. There are magnificent castles to discover further afield, such as Dunstanburgh, Warkworth, Lindisfarne, and Cragside, as well as towns such as Alnwick, known for its historic market town; Alnmouth, known for its excellent golf course; and Bamburgh, with its famous castle. A stay at Seahares means a coastal holiday in a charming, well-presented cottage.

A bustling, pretty fishing village with an attractive harbour, situated on the beautiful Northumbrian coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Seahouses offers a variety of shops and a good selection of inns, pubs and eating places. Nearby are miles and miles of splendid sandy beaches and the opportunity to visit the bird sanctuary or seal colony on the famous Farne Islands with boat trips running daily from Seahouses, is not to be missed. There are numerous castles and great houses to explore, such as the magnificent castles at Bamburgh, Cragside, and Alnwick (home of the Duke of Northumberland), to mention just a few. Golf, fishing and riding are also available locally.
